28/11/2025: This place is filthy, the meat is plastic-tasting, and the fries are frozen and bought from the supermarket, which they then resell at exorbitant prices. Not to mention the unbearable owner, her lack of professionalism, and the unsanitary conditions—you wouldn't be surprised to find yourself sharing fries with a cockroach. Even the public restrooms at the Carrefour supermarket are more hygienic and pleasant than this restaurant. For the bravest among you, who don't mind poor hygiene and have plenty of money to spend on substandard food, I highly recommend it. For those of you with a bit more civility, I suggest you travel a few extra kilometers and eat somewhere more suitable for a proper restaurant. Sincerely.

26/02/2026: This is the worst kebab I've ever seen. €14 for fries and a drink, and it's tiny, barely two pieces of meat. You can't be hungry, my stomach already hurts. It's undercooked, plus they're showing AI on the TV. Seriously, avoid it!
18/02/2026: The food was served very quickly; I hardly waited at all 👍 The kebab was absolutely delicious: the meat was juicy, the sauces were perfectly balanced, and all the ingredients were very fresh. I'm completely satisfied and will gladly return!

01/03/2026: Got charged 64 euros for a portion of chicken pieces with onion rings and 3 drinks xD said that there was something on the list I didn’t have and he said it was subtracted, did the maths after and apparently paid for a main and a beer I didn’t have. Great maths people
17/02/2026: Booked this place at the last minute as our other accommodation informed us they had bedbugs - obviously a common problem in Europe. Location was good, bus goes right past the door and the train station is about 5 - 10 minute walk away. Breakfast was basic but good, help yourself so no shortage. The room was fine no issues. We ate in the restaurant nearly every night, good value. A lot of the complaints seem to be about the building, it's a 150 years old so what do you expect? Staff were helpful, self check in which worked fine. It's a perfectly good place as long as you're not one of these moaners who what to pay bottom dollar and get 5 star service. I would happily stay here again.

15/01/2026: The waitress/manager was very friendly, the food was very good but a bit pricey for what you get. Not a huge selection of typical dishes, but that's actually a good sign; the homemade walnut tart was to die for! Small dining room, reservations are essential.

We found the room very expensive for the condition of the room.
We slept very poorly; the pillow was like a sheet of paper.
On the other hand, the breakfast was decent.
We will not be returning.
30/11/2025: I particularly enjoyed the breakfast.
The room was basic and the bathroom was in poor condition.
It was relatively small.
And there was no parking available.
I had to drive around the neighborhood for 30 minutes before finding a spot in a private residence across the street.

We stayed for a week at the La Cordée residence, and it was a simply fantastic experience! Nestled in an exceptional setting, this residence offers incredible views of Mont Blanc, the Aiguille du Midi, and even the little red train of the Mer de Glace, which you can see passing by in the distance from the balcony… A true daily spectacle.
Underground parking if needed.
But beyond this breathtaking panorama, what makes La Cordée unique is its high-end facilities, which clearly exceeded all our expectations:
• A heated indoor pool with views of the peaks
• A jacuzzi with a panoramic view of Mont Blanc, perfect for relaxing after a day in the mountains
• A modern gym, an indoor climbing wall, and even a wellness area

11/03/2026: I've been here twice for an aperitif. The first time it was delicious, poured to the brim with Prosecco and a splash of sparkling water. The second time, I got three-quarters of a glass, half of which was Aperol and water. I know because I watched the preparation process. We wanted a two-course dinner. I approached the chef to ask about soup in English, to which he replied that I should speak French... in a tourist town... we just ordered fries to eat with the Aperol, and the whole group went to another place for dinner. I don't like this kind of behavior. Even if you can't say "vegetable soup" in English, you can always refer the customer to someone else who can help, rather than expecting someone who came to France for a ski trip to have a degree in French...

11/03/2026: Four-day stay in March 2026. Ideal location for skiing, top-notch amenities, excellent breakfast, very nice pool and hammam, spotless room with superb bedding and impeccable cleanliness. The staff were incredibly helpful and kind… the other reviews are unjustified in my opinion!
The only thing missing to make it perfect was evening dining.

04/08/2024: We stayed six nights at the Les Gentianettes hotel, and overall, our experience was quite satisfactory. The setting of the hotel is elegant, offering a real change of scenery. The services offered, such as the swimming pool, sauna, hammam and jacuzzis, are in perfect condition and greatly contributed to our well-being during our stay.
The welcome from all the staff of the establishment was very warm. However, we were disappointed by the attitude of the hostess, who lacked commercial sense and friendliness. After five nights, we noticed that the bedding, although of good quality, did not suit us (too hard) because there was no real mattress topper. We asked if it was possible to add one to soften our mattress, but she simply replied that the bedding was exceptional and that she did not understand our request, and above all, she did not try to find one. solution. This unsympathetic response tarnished our stay.
As a result, we considered leaving the hotel early, but no refund was possible, forcing us to stay. It's a shame to end on a negative note when the establishment as a whole is rather satisfactory.
For future customers, it is also important to note that catering and breakfasts are quite expensive. Plan a substantial budget, with prices of €25 for breakfast and €37 per person for a pierrade, for example. Even if the staff remains very friendly, apart from the hostess, they lack a lot of experience. We had to request drinks at a dinner several times and also had to request that part of our bill be canceled for drinks at the pool that did not concern us.
Despite these inconveniences, the Les Gentianettes hotel remains a pleasant place for a relaxing stay, provided you are prepared for certain costs and a variable welcome depending on the people you talk to.

21/07/2024: Arrived from Brest, third time I have tasted a dish in the restaurant, the staff welcomes with a smile, the portions are frankly generous, the restaurant is clean, terrace for sitting in the open air, I really recommend their Turkish sausage : a pleasant fruity taste
The kebab meat is tender and in nice pieces (not just mince) and the price is lower for the quality and quantity served (:

13/06/2024: This chalet hotel is very beautiful and warm! The cleanliness of the room is impeccable and the view from the balcony is magnificent! The all-inclusive formula is very popular, the breakfast is good and plentiful, and the homemade snack is a real plus. The staff, kind and helpful. The spa, a real relaxing break!
I highly recommend this place, as a couple or with family, for a break from everyday routine, it’s very refreshing✨✨✨
