31/08/2024: Disappointed... I was looking forward to the burger that I was going to taste, but was ultimately quite disappointed. A burger requested rare but which arrived well cooked and in which I did not smell the gorgonzola at all (Toronto Blue) The fries were uninteresting and undercooked (worthy of the work canteen). In short, too bad because the atmosphere and the beers are good.

31/08/2024: Not a single main vegan option on the menu. All the burger buns were coated in egg so even with the veggie patty, you still couldn’t have the full burger. The veggie patty didn’t even taste good. €17 for veggie mush and vegetables with no bread bun is outrageous! The only reason I gave a 2 rating was because the onion rings were actually very nice! But much needed vegan options! It’s 2024!!!

26/08/2024: I've eaten quite a bit of ramen and the beef ramen here is up there with the very best. Broth = umami sensation | noodles = in-house made, perfect bite | beef = succulent, moist | soy egg = absolute banger of an egg! Whole package = welcome to flavour town! My fiance had the burger, I had a bite, and that bite was damn good! Drinks were fantastic, try the chicken salt mescal, and the double sour they had on tap. Service = ace, relaxed but attentive. Absolute winner of a spot.

16/01/2025: I should say this is a terrible place so that the "pearl of portes du soleil" could be preserved for the lucky few that know about it. But it doesn't feel right to say one bad word about this place even if that means you can keep it for yourself. That being said, this place is one of the best places to have dinner in the portes du soleil area, and it might even be the best in all over France! Here is why: - The owners Philip and Cecile are super friendly - The decent to the restaurant is one of the best especially when it is dark (that reminds me, bring a flashlight of some sort) - The food, especially the cheese and meat fondue are the most delicious i have ever had (accompanied with fresh fries and salad) - When ordering the cheese fondue (traditionally) they will add an egg to the last bit of the fondue which gives you a new dish - If you are sweet you'll get a home made chartreuse (if not just order one) - If you are not full at the end of your meal, you went to the wrong place. Good to know: The meat fondue is only available on week days as the butcher is closed in the weekends and they only serve fresh meat! Before you go: - Make sure you make a reservation by phone prior to your visit - Bring cash to avoid bank transfer hassle - Bring a flashlight with enough lumen - Hang your (ski) jacket outside - Make sure you enter with a positive mindset - Bring your singing voice as things might get musical After you leave: Tip Especially for Philip et Cecile: Merci d'avoir donné au monde cet endroit extraordinaire ! 26/11/2024: An unfortunately disappointing experience at this establishment. One morning, a colleague and I ordered a coffee and a squeezed orange juice to take away. My colleague paid for his coffee in cash, and I paid for my orange juice (charged €4.90 for a half-full glass). On my way out I noticed that I had been charged €6.40, probably because the coffee had been charged a second time by mistake. Two days later, I returned to explain the situation, in all kindness. Unfortunately, the reception was not up to par. The person who introduced himself as the boss refused to listen to my explanation and arrogantly accused me of lying (indirectly) claiming that my colleague had not paid. (All this for €1.50😅) I dropped the complaint to show him that I wasn't lying. After that he came with contempt to leave me a 2€ coin (which I of course did not accept) If the boss reads this comment, I strongly invite him to watch the surveillance cameras again to see the truth of my words because it is really very frustrating that I am looked down upon so much and that there was such a big lack of professionalism. 26/11/2024: The food is not excellent but equal to the price. Too bad the service is not pleasant (perhaps due to the age of the gentleman...) super bitter.

31/08/2024: Heerlijk gegeten vooraf hoofd en een heerlijk ijs na met een karaf witte wijn. De contre filet was perfect gebakken hulde aan de chef en escalope savoyarde mag er ook zijn. Kortom gewoon uitstekend

18/08/2024: It is truly a magical place where we are transported by flavors. Small, very pleasant, shaded, quiet terrace. We are never rushed by the waitresses, it's really nice. It's just a shame that there isn't a small children's menu, otherwise really nothing to complain about

07/09/2024: Super nice place to eat, just beside the cable car station. Me and friend had the burger grand dru which was huge and fries were crispy. Spacious dining place with a super friendly lady waitress. Highly recommended!

16/08/2024: We stayed in Chamonix twice during our two weeks in this area and had drinks here multiple times. Very good craft beer. The barkeeps were very knowledgable about their beer and offered small tastings to help us decide which to have. The taps rotated between our visits, that was a good sign of quality. Good wifi. Nice little deck outside.

28/07/2024: Cool place with good pizzas and craft beers! Becomes really busy after 20.00. Tip: try the craft beers tasting package, just thumbs up!

26/07/2024: Avec ma mère nous avons fait le trou de la mouche puis avons mangé dans ce chalet, c'était excellent, des produits locaux, une salade très jolie exactement ce dont j'avais besoin après la rando.

05/07/2024: Cadre magnifique au pied des montagnes avec encore de la neige sur les sommets. Une cuisine sans beignets ,ça nous change ! Que des compositions originales : mousse de chèvre à la confiture de pissenlit,charcuterie,fromage ,le tout décoré de fleurs ,un REGAL.Et les desserts originaux ,différents des desserts passe partout. Super accueil . Resto à refaire

18/09/2024: Arrivée très accueillante par un joli sourire et service agréable. Nous avons pris 3 plats différents qui étaient bien cuisinés et à notre goût. Le dessert…fondant au chocolat… une merveille !

11/09/2024: Accueil et service irréprochable et très attentionné. La salle est cozy et très bien décorée. Plats biens présentés, avec du goût et des odeurs! Un restaurant à faire absolument au Grand Bornand.
