05/03/2026: If you're looking for a traditional andouillette sausage, this is the place to go. The Chartreuse crème brûlée is excellent and original. In short, a very good dish in a pleasant setting. The waiter and the chef are very friendly. The chef even took the time to give us some recipe tips. However, fellow RVers, as you've probably guessed, it's best to forget about visiting Lyon in a motorhome.

29/03/2026: An excellent experience at this pizzeria! The welcome was truly warm, the person who served us was very kind, smiling, and attentive, which made the experience even more enjoyable. And then… the cheddar and honey pizza 😍 A real treat! The flavors were perfectly balanced, the crust was cooked perfectly, and the sweet and savory combination was simply incredible. I highly recommend it, and I will definitely be back!

02/03/2026: We came yesterday with a friend. The welcome was warm, the service quick, and we were especially impressed by the lady who served us and made our pizzas. She was very kind and generous. We weren't disappointed with our experience! We'll be back!

26/03/2026: The restaurant was partially booked for a friend's birthday. The meal was a buffet at her request, and we enjoyed fries with ketchup and mayo, guacamole, tomato/cheese, and tapenade toasts, small pasta gratins, foie gras, salmon, truffle whipped cream, and for drinks, a piña colada, homemade "Saint Helena" punch, and soft drinks. For dessert, we had a raspberry cake. I think that's everything. Although it didn't look like much and seemed a bit dated, the owner seemed to care deeply about his restaurant, the ingredients he used, and how they were presented in the kitchen. However, I was rather disappointed. Fries? Okay, why not, they were alright. Ketchup and mayo? Are we in a school cafeteria? The toasts seemed to be made from defrosted rolls with various toppings thrown in. The guacamole was rather ordinary, the tapenade was just tapenade, and the tomato and cheese was nice. But nothing to write home about. I started to find it a bit much with the macaroni and cheese gratins. Not bad, but seriously? Being vegetarian, I didn't try the foie gras and salmon, but they seemed to be a hit with others. The truffle whipped cream was really good. The drinks were good too, especially the red punch, which was original and well-balanced. The dessert wasn't particularly memorable, but the marshmallows that came with it were a nice surprise, which was a plus. However, in terms of atmosphere, service, and honesty, it wasn't just a little disappointing. The owner seemed friendly, albeit a bit overly familiar, but the setting was unusual, as I was a "friend" and a "guest" for a birthday. The owner was a bit pushy. But the atmosphere was relaxed and friendly. At least, that was the case until a friend of the owners, clearly, burst in and bothered us in our reserved section of the restaurant. He made comments that I would describe as, to say the least, bizarre, made completely inappropriate remarks to some of the other diners, and even drank some of our drinks. Okay, the restaurant wasn't entirely reserved for us, okay, he's a friend, and okay, they're not responsible for his behavior. But when we calmly explained to him that we were among ourselves, that he had to leave because he had no business being there, and then we saw the scene the owner made, it made us question his priorities, his honesty, his friends, his ability to handle conflict, and even his anger management… I won't go into further detail, but no one in our group will be setting foot in that place again. It's sad and a shame that it came to this, but I think it's for the best. And finally, let's talk about price. We paid €20 per person, which seemed a bit excessive considering what we were served (and I'm not even talking about the atmosphere). But I later learned that the price was actually closer to €30, as my friend had to pay the extra. At that price, you get to take home the leftover truffle whipped cream, the punch, the cake, and even the soft drinks… Speaking of which, what happened to them? Nobody knows. In short, an experience that could have been merely disappointing, but which, given the owner's behavior, turned out to be unpleasant, sad, and definitely not one to repeat.

27/02/2026: I was a regular customer of the Bellecour store, but unfortunately I just learned that it's closed due to hygiene issues, including expired food and traces of rat and mouse droppings. It's a real shame; I won't be going back.

28/03/2026: I went to the kebab shop last night to order a portion of fries. The man offered me a second portion of fries free of charge. Very generous and kind, I recommend this restaurant!

13/12/2025: I was able to order a taco meal at this fast food restaurant. The order was ready at the requested time. The taco was good, but nothing special. The manager is very welcoming and friendly. He also accepts restaurant cards. Now I just need to try the kebabs for that fifth star.

01/12/2025: This review is solely for the business operation of the establishment, and not about the food or service. On the website, and on the restaurant’s Instagram profile page, it indicates that it is open 7 days a week from 6pm-11pm. However, today, December 1, 2025, I stood outside the bar at 6pm (and again at 7pm thinking they might have the hours of operation wrongly indicated online), and it was completely dark inside both times. I also tried calling, but to no avail. It is unacceptable to advertise that an establishment is open 7 days a week when it is not. Simply indicate the days that the place is closed online. I hope that is not a difficult task to do for the sister restaurant of a Michelin-starred restaurant. To prove this is all true, I have also enclosed the photos of my visit with the time stamp in this review.

19/11/2025: The wine list is very diverse. The staff is friendly and the selection of appetizers is reasonable. I highly recommend it.

03/11/2025: We read the reviews before going and were disappointed. The risotto was a bit runny and tasteless, the seafood stew was a beautiful dish but bland and flavorless. The sea bream tartare and Caesar salad were decent. The fig tart was just okay.

26/02/2026: I've been a regular at L'Apostrophe for over 20 years, and it's always a pleasure to walk through the door. Today, it's Lucas, Jeannot's son, who has brilliantly taken over the reins. The welcome is typically Lyonnais: frank, authentic, and warm. There's a wonderful neighborhood atmosphere, the kind that's rare these days and that we love to find. Whether you're a long-time regular or just passing through, you'll feel right at home. A successful handover for a must-visit spot!

Valerian, a huge Mario fan, made ordering even more fun 😄 The welcome was super friendly, the atmosphere was great, it was really enjoyable! The service was quick and efficient.
