Lionel, the owner, is the heart of the place. With each visit, he has a new story to share, anecdotes that brighten the evening and create a genuinely friendly atmosphere. It's rare to find an owner who fosters such a connection. The intimacy of the place makes it ideal for a one-on-one date, far from the hustle and bustle of trendy bars. Conversations flow naturally, without the noise of a crowd. But it's also a perfect haven to recharge when you need a break, a place where you truly feel welcome. Highly recommended for those who value authenticity over superficiality.

11/07/2026: A superb discovery: this cocktail bar tucked away in the Saint Jean district. The two bartenders are true lovers of French spirits and craft their cocktails with real expertise. No overly sweet, mainstream cocktails here, but a local selection that delighted us. The setting is magnificent, with a Belle Époque and Roaring Twenties soundtrack that perfectly complemented the atmosphere.

11/08/2026: One of the most famous restaurants in Chambéry) You can find it among the top places in this town. That's why there are no free tables in the evening! You should really reserve a place on Friday night or on holidays. It would be hard to find a good table without booking. A great location close to Curial Centre, and a 3 to 5-minute walk to the Old Town. The best wines and delicious food are here! The menu contains a small selection of French dishes, but every course is classic for this region. You can wait long enough for your dish, so it's a good idea to order a glass of wine and local snacks, which are quite good. I ordered the Savoy onglet steak, a local cheese selection with nuts (Assiette de fromages), and a glass of red Savoy wine, and I paid 41.5 euros for my dinner. Prices are typical for this part of Chambéry. My food had a truly mouthwatering smell and taste! Onglet steak was something! What about the atmosphere? You feel the vibe of a classic French restaurant with a modest interior, simple table settings, quiet music, busy waitstaff, and delicious food. What else do you need to enjoy yourself on a hot summer night? Visit L'Atelier to feel the real taste of France.

07/08/2026: A very warm welcome. We ordered a matouille (a local dish) as we wanted to try a regional specialty. We thoroughly enjoyed it, as well as the strawberry mille-feuille – a real treat! A lovely little place. The newlyweds 😉

06/08/2026: We're staying in Plagne 1800 and the restaurant was recommended by our host. A big thank you, as the pizzas were very good. The tapas (mozzarella sticks) were also delicious! The service was a little slow, but we're on holiday, so we're taking our time ⌛️.

19/07/2026: This restaurant has a very warm atmosphere, even if the access, located on the roadside with a small parking lot, isn't the most convenient. However, the welcome is excellent: the service is quick and always accompanied by a smile. The menu showcases Savoyard specialties, featuring quality local products. As for the desserts, I would have appreciated a bit more flair. The prices are reasonable for the region and the prime lakeside location, but you have to know what you want in terms of lakeside location and view. In short, we had a very pleasant time.

11/06/2026: A visit to the amusement park in beautiful sunshine. We tried almost all the cars and planes. The nearby parking lot was very convenient, and the lake provided a lovely backdrop.

The chef, passionate and generous, skillfully wove together the rich flavors of Savoy with the discerning palates of his Breton guests, creating an unexpected, delicate, and vibrant alliance, like those encounters that leave a lasting impression. The service? A rare warmth at altitude. A sincere, almost familiar attentiveness that envelops you from the very first moment—and which, by contrast, leaves some neighboring tables in a polite shadow, where elegance prefers to remain silent. Here, one savors with precision, shares with joy, and leaves the table with a heart as full as the plate. And as the meal ends, a breath of Brittany comes to greet the night: a complimentary digestif, like a final nod to distant sea spray.
