10/04/2026: These days, it's rare to meet a pleasant, helpful person. Kahina has all the qualities.

09/12/2025: The best bar and tobacconist in town, cheers!
12/10/2025: A classic locals bar/tabac in Arles. Seasoned staff serving seasoned drinkers.

Brasserie L Aficion
Arles
03/04/2026: An amazing location with a spectacular terrace, but the service was subpar. We only tried one dish because we were uncomfortable.
14/03/2026: Good cafe for a basic lunch. Amazing view and wonderful to sit on the terrace in the sun. The staff was extremely friendly and prompt. Will certainly be back!

CHEZ BOB
Arles
12/04/2026: On the tables, anchovy dip with fresh vegetables and ploutargue with lemon toast and butter. We're in the Camargue, and it's wonderful to rediscover the region and its authentic food.
The veal with porcini mushroom sauce was hearty and delicious. Local guitarists played a variety of tunes, keeping the volume low to respect conversations at the tables. Locals and tourists alike made for a pleasant mix, and there was a lot of young people. The service was abrupt, provided by Camargue natives who seemed a bit hard to win over. The decor was Camargue-style.
29/03/2026: A meal in a courtyard, under a pergola, around a bread oven. Nothing particularly special about the food. A charcuterie platter as a starter. Meats cooked over a wood fire in the bread oven, decent. All very generous portions. The wine list was nonexistent. The names of the estates weren't even listed. We ordered a 2019 Château Puech Haut white, past its prime, where all we could taste was the oak.
We went there more for the atmosphere: a relaxed, informal setting with a family-run, open-air café feel, and a friendly welcome. Live music, unfortunately (for us) not gypsy jazz that day. A few couples were dancing to 70s music.

Le Wilson Café Restaurant
Arles
12/02/2026: Excellent place. Simple but well-executed cuisine, a limited menu, and good quality ingredients. The setting is pleasant, the atmosphere agreeable, and the prices reasonable. A good find in a rather uninteresting town…
09/02/2026: Excellent value for money. I tried the Angus beef sirloin with new potatoes. Plenty of garlic and shallot seasoning. It was delicious. Highly recommended!

Restaurant Pizzeria La Mamma
Arles
08/04/2026: Nice little pizzeria, nothing more.
27/03/2026: Still as delicious as ever, especially the fresh spinach and cheese cannelloni, as well as the linguine Bolognese. The tiramisu was delicious and generous. Very good value for money.

Le Petit
Arles
04/04/2026: We were disappointed with our experience at this small coffee shop, which is very cute and inviting from the outside.
We ordered two slices of cake, and they were microwaved... why? It's the first time I've ever had a slice of cake heated up like that...
The frosting on the carrot cake had melted and looked like melted cheese... not very appetizing. We ordered a Chai Latte... there was no Chai, just hot, sweetened milk with some kind of syrup at the bottom.
The place was nearly empty, and despite that, we were asked three times what we wanted. Then they brought our order without really being sure it was for us. A lack of organization.
Despite all this, the staff were smiling and welcoming. At least they tried.
31/03/2026: Looking for coffee and a gluten free snack is always a challenge. Les petit Arles was a great chance find while wandering around the old city of Arles. The classique buckwheat crêpe hit the spot perfectly. With coffee and friendly service a must for all crepe lover, whether gluten-free or not.

Jean Luc-Rabanel
Arles
16/09/2025: An exceptional meal!!! Delicious and hearty dishes. The chef strives to please his customers.
We ate at this restaurant twice, in August and September. Each time, we experienced a rare moment. The chef manages to make classic dishes (for example, the salt cod brande or the celery remoulade) exceptional.
08/09/2025: In a city that loves blended cuisine, there remains an indomitable chef who delights everyone with dishes full of Southern flavors!
Jean-Luc Rabanel eschews trends in favor of precise and very gourmet cuisine. The dishes are generous! We'll be back!

L'Escaladou
Arles
20/04/2026: CELIACS NOTICE: Despite the "gluten-free" logos, the restaurant has no idea what celiac disease is. Experience: We sat down and told the waitress we had celiac disease. She looked at us in surprise, saying that it would be a problem, not a good start. Seeing our surprise, after asking for more information, she came back to say that, indeed, the dishes with the crossed-out ear of corn are gluten-free. We decided to order all the dishes with the crossed-out ear of corn, but after a few minutes, the waitress returned to say that one of these dishes still contained gluten! A waitress's ignorance is acceptable, but the fact that the restaurant printed a menu with the wrong allergens was unacceptable, so we decided to leave, fearing for our health.
19/04/2026: Extremely generous portions. Local dishes. Excellent!

Les 2 Suds
Arles
05/04/2026: It offers a special experience of seeing the places seen in Van Gogh's paintings in real life. The garden is still well-maintained, and you can enter through the main entrance and go upstairs via the door on the right.
05/04/2026: It's worth a visit, but if you skip it, you're not really missing anything... It's packed with tourists and souvenirs, well, there is one positive thing: there are obvious toilets.

L'Affenage
Arles
27/02/2026: We had heard great things about this restaurant for a long time, and what a disappointment! The service was appalling; they forgot our aperitif, our bottle of wine, and our coffee. They spilled sauce on the table when they placed a dish down, and shrimp jus was spilled on me and my neighbor. We're only human, but all of that in one meal is just too much! As for the food itself, it was incredibly basic for the price. You can find much better, more sophisticated restaurants with impeccable service for the same price.
Extremely disappointed.
17/02/2026: I used to go there regularly, and I was quite disappointed this time… I understand that prices are rising everywhere, but that's no reason to lower the quality. As for the duck breast, I practically had to search for the sauce and morels on the plate. Before, they would have a small bowl of cream and morel sauce on the plate, but it was generous and delicious. Now, both the portion size and the quality seem to have declined. The cured ham and the mixed appetizers were of lower quality than anything I've had before, and the price reflected that.

Highly recommended.

Le Flamant Rose
Arles
08/04/2026: A truly excellent restaurant, with great quality, generous portions, and a friendly atmosphere. I highly recommend it; very good value for money.
Don't miss it!
06/04/2026: We dined at this restaurant two nights in a row. Overall, the experience was pleasant, with refined cuisine and high-quality ingredients.
The service was friendly, if a bit slow, especially as the evening progressed.
We tried the bull fillet and the gardiane de taureau: well-cooked dishes, but from a personal taste perspective, we weren't entirely convinced. On the other hand, we enjoyed the fish soup, the mussels au gratin, and the île flottante, which we highly recommend.
The prices seemed a bit high compared to the overall experience, but it's still a good place.
I would return.
