25/09/2026: While on holiday near Bayeux, we booked a room for 8 people at L'Alchimie. We had a wonderful meal; the cuisine was inventive and the welcome was pleasant. We will cherish the delicious memories of our stay.

29/08/2026: We used La Conquête du Pain for a cocktail reception for about twenty people. Everything was excellent and plentiful, both the savory and sweet portions. A good selection, helpful advice, and great value for money, served with a smile and efficiency – I highly recommend them!

28/08/2026: Tiny little bakery with the most delicious bread and treats. Standing room inside for only 2 or 3, so there's often a queue but so delicious!

07/09/2026: This is my favourite place in Bayeux. I only come to this part of France to visit the D Day beaches but always stay in the area. I found this place a few years ago and I always have to return. As always the most amazing pizza, salad and rose wine Love this place and will always return

16/09/2026: The food is very good, but the major drawback is the wait, even though we had a reservation. We received our meal an hour and a half after ordering. What a shame. Two hours for a main course and dessert.

16/09/2026: We were made to feel unworthy when we arrived without booking. When that same greeter asked for drink orders, he yelled at me for asking for what cocktails they offered with Chartreuse. Note that two very large bottles were displayed prominently at the bar. He shouted, "Chartreuse is a digestif!" and stomped away. Later a waitress came and I ordered a gin with Chartreuse and lemon juice. After awhile she returned and stated that they couldn't mix cocktails. Note that the blackboard displayed two cocktail specials, a Bloody Mary and a London Fog. The food was good but not great. Our order of the velvety vegetables produced a gruel-gray soup that while tasty, looked like death. The chicken was actually delicious, but the escargot, if you could fine them, tasted like nothing but butter and herbs. By the way, when we left, many tables remained open despite the "booking" pretense. If this is your idea of a French restaurant experience, go for it. For me , it was insulting. By the way on our two previous nights in Bayeux, we had delightful restaurant experiences.

03/09/2026: Excellent galettes made with regional products such as Vire andouille sausage and Camembert cheese! A real treat! And the prices are competitive. The welcome is warm and friendly. I highly recommend it and will definitely return on my next trip to the area.

08/08/2026: We were just passing through the area, looking for a nice pizzeria. The town center was packed and there was no room for seven people. We were thrilled to stumble upon this restaurant! The welcome was fantastic, the service was top-notch, and very fast! The salmon and four-cheese pizza was excellent; we're still talking about it! Well done and best of luck!
