09/12/2025: A lunch stop at this little restaurant tucked away in the charming Place Barbe. The terrace must be lovely in the summer. A warm welcome from the owner, who is of Cambodian origin; his wife does the cooking. Asian dishes and authentic Kampot pepper ground fresh! A tasty little coffee with a hazelnut aroma (see photo). Good value for money, I recommend it 👍🏼

You can feel their genuine commitment to working with local producers and high-quality ingredients, and it's immediately apparent on the plate: refined, expertly prepared, and bursting with flavor. Two passionate young chefs, sincere and generous cuisine, and a truly wonderful experience from beginning to end. We highly recommend it!

24/12/2025: A truly wonderful romantic moment! Very warm and friendly. The meal was delicious, we were completely satisfied with both the fish and meat options. The service was excellent, the waitress was very pleasant. A nice touch was the blind tasting – ordering a drink and guessing what it was was a fun activity. And the wine was delicious. I highly recommend it and we will definitely be back!

30/11/2025: Very disappointed! Calf's head served with one slice, one potato, and one carrot! The quenelle was very bland and swimming in a lobster bisque dish that was watered down! And don't bother looking for the red and black checkered tablecloths; they're only in the photo! This is nothing like a traditional Lyonnais bistro!

04/02/2026: I paid €14 for entry, and the atmosphere was pretty good until, 10 minutes after we arrived, I was kicked out by bouncers for "inappropriate attire." I was wearing a tank top, while other men were shirtless and some girls were wearing literally see-through tops. I'd recommend the Melkior next door instead; they accept us as we are without discrimination.

The wine selection is very well chosen, and the blind tasting concept allows you to discover new appellations. The establishment also boasts a beautiful tasting room, accessible by reservation. A must-visit for a delightful wine experience.

01/02/2026: A very warm welcome. Excellent food. Excellent service. We felt right at home and wanted to come back – what could be better?

10/01/2026: A slightly chilly arrival, the dining room practically empty on a Saturday lunchtime, admittedly after the holidays… Seated comfortably near the bar and right in front of the wine cellar, we perused the menu and waited for our order to be taken—about 20 minutes, while four staff members chatted at the till and there were only five other customers in the entire restaurant. We ordered our aperitifs and set menus, and three mini gougères arrived a good 8-10 minutes after our aperitifs… The starters were decent but cold, especially the soft-boiled eggs, which were also very salty considering the sauce made with mushrooms and already salty goat cheese. They should have been less heavy-handed with the salt shaker. The pâté en croûte looked excellent. Main courses: the pulled pork was very good and piping hot! Hooray! The poultry was not bad, but lukewarm, which was a shame. All accompanied by a decent Mercurey, but there was a problem with the temperature; the wine was far too cold. Perhaps it was due to the wine's body, but it's not ideal to wait 20-30 minutes for it to warm up, especially since it was served by the glass and we'll never know if it was truly Mercurey—we didn't get to see the bottle…trust is a virtue. The desserts were good, but nothing special. We felt a decline in the quality of service compared to previous visits. They need to maintain this level, as the competition is fierce and success is fleeting. The ingredients are there; they just need to be showcased and not rest on their laurels. In conclusion, pay attention to the temperature of the dining room, the wines, and the dishes! And the timing is crucial from the moment you start; this is what distinguishes a truly excellent restaurant from a mediocre one.
