Excellent place, we had the €50 set menu, which was exceptional.
Homemade aperitif with complimentary toasts.
Basque trou (a small glass of Calvados) served midway through the meal. Warm welcome, generous and delicious portions.

18/02/2026: I have no comparison to other cider houses in Bayonne, as I was just passing through on business. We ordered the set menu with... well, practically everything: the omelet... superb, the fish with pimientos... superb, and the beef... well, it brought tears to my eyes... the cooking and quality far exceeded my expectations, just look at the photos already posted. It's very generous portions... all in a relaxed, informal atmosphere, at long tables, chatting with other passersby... I take my hat off to the staff... because this is an experience I will never forget.

For the meal, you have the choice between the starter + main course, main course + dessert, or the full starter + main course + dessert, with 2 to 3 choices per course.
We loved it and will definitely return! The staff was fantastic 😊
27/09/2025: We had a great lunch today. The tomato tart, the veal axoa, the local trout, the super chocolate fondant from Monsieur Txokola… we loved everything. Thank you for the warm welcome!

The Burrata pasta and the Pad Thai were very good. A warm welcome and excellent value for money. Everything on the menu looked tempting, so we'll be back soon. Thank you!
07/12/2025: It seems they don't accept Spaniards. Two Spanish families were asked to leave two empty tables without explanation, as if the manager didn't want us to sit down. And as soon as we got up, two French women sat down and were served... Surreal.

13/11/2024: Au coeur de BAYONNE, sur les bords de la Nive, la promesse était intéressante, mais
Déception totale !!, avions consulté les avis avant de réserver et avons constaté qu'aucun avis ne correspond à la réalité .... Quand on arrive, c'est difficile de savoir si l'établissement est en chantier ou si une fermeture est à venir !! Concernant la restauration les portions très réduites, manque d'assaisonnement, rien de goûteux, quant aux desserts annoncés : en guise de pain perdu une tranche de brioche passée au chalumeau !!! avec sur le dessus une boule de glace au caramel !!! Comme son nom l'indique "KAPITO CAFE" c'est un café et non un restaurant !
Les sanitaires totalement négligés, fixation d'une poignée de porte sur une planche à découper ! absence de planche de déclenchement de la chasse d'eau, etc ...
Nous sommes déconcertés par un tel laisser-aller !
01/08/2024: Portions généreuses, prix plus que raisonnables (4,5€ le dessert !), et accueil charmant.

14/08/2024: Belle pâtisserie , la présentation des produits donne beaucoup envie de déguster et de découvrir cette variété . Accueil correct , et très bon achat sur du gâteau basque à la crème .
21/07/2024: Mr Raux, vous devriez sélectionner votre personnel avec un peu plus de soin ne serait-ce que pour l’image de votre boutique !! J’ai eu affaire hier à la boutique d’anglet à une jeune vendeuse avare de sourires mais très préoccupée par sa manucure qui pour prendre les produits était à la limite de ne pas les jeter dans la boîte, sans compter le manque de sérieux du reste du personnel qui déambulait et s’invectivant. Contraste avec la boutique de Bayonne où sourires et professionnalisme sont présents

29/09/2024: Terrasse sympa pour boire un verre. En revanche, serveur pas du tout agréable, pas un sourire, pas un bonjour, pas un au revoir.
Pour prendre notre commande, le serveur n’utilise pas la parole comme tout bon serveur mais plutôt un hochement de tête pour nous le faire comprendre. On reviendra quand il ne sera pas là.
23/09/2024: Le jus d’orange pressé avait un goût de pulco, les verres étaient sales, les plats de qualité cantine, le service mauvais et le patron odieux.
