23/10/2026: Great, perfect moment for a drink, overlooking the Adour River... Knowing it was Sunday evening, not much was open in Bayonne... But having lived there, I can tell you there are some real gems, well hidden.
Their Kir-Champagne is simply divine. All the best to you.

Everything is delicious, but be sure to make a reservation as it's apparently a popular spot (and rightly so).
We loved the salad bowl for sharing! It brought back memories of Grandma's cooking 😊...
They gave us great wine recommendations, and the coffee was good too :).
One small drawback: the pastry on the pear and chocolate tart wasn't quite right... a slightly thicker, pre-baked shortcrust pastry for extra crispness would have been better. But that's a minor detail.

27/09/2026: Emilie gave us an exceptional welcome, and the owner was lovely (and very young 😜).
We ordered several tapas to share for our meal, and everything was delicious.
We'll be back!

The food was hearty, generous, and delicious. One small drawback: the chef is a bit heavy-handed with the salt (a matter of taste). Otherwise, a very pleasant experience!

I had a great time and he even played some songs I requested because I felt like singing (thank you!). Honestly, I had a wonderful evening, it really cheered me up!

I really appreciated the service and the helpful recommendations for wines and sharing plates.
The food was high quality and well-prepared; a special mention for the baby squid!
14/09/2026: We arrived Saturday evening around 11 pm and the welcome was simply perfect. Despite the late hour, the staff seated us with a smile and we had a truly excellent meal.
A huge thank you in particular to Thibault, who was incredibly kind throughout the entire service. Even though desserts were no longer being served at that hour, he actually reopened the restaurant's second dining room to go and prepare one for me! A rare gesture that made all the difference.
The dishes are excellent and the staff is remarkably attentive. We had a wonderful time at La Karafe. Don't hesitate for a second, it's a top-notch restaurant in Bayonne!

22/09/2026: A lovely surprise: homemade savory tarts and friendly staff. Ideally located on a shaded square at the foot of the cathedral. Highly recommended.
17/09/2026: Beautiful location, good portions but food isn't exceptional. Service was attentive but it took nearly an hour to get food. The ambiance of the church and the outside seating is fantastic, definitely a reasonable choice.

14/08/2024: Belle pâtisserie , la présentation des produits donne beaucoup envie de déguster et de découvrir cette variété . Accueil correct , et très bon achat sur du gâteau basque à la crème .
21/07/2024: Mr Raux, vous devriez sélectionner votre personnel avec un peu plus de soin ne serait-ce que pour l’image de votre boutique !! J’ai eu affaire hier à la boutique d’anglet à une jeune vendeuse avare de sourires mais très préoccupée par sa manucure qui pour prendre les produits était à la limite de ne pas les jeter dans la boîte, sans compter le manque de sérieux du reste du personnel qui déambulait et s’invectivant. Contraste avec la boutique de Bayonne où sourires et professionnalisme sont présents

29/09/2024: Terrasse sympa pour boire un verre. En revanche, serveur pas du tout agréable, pas un sourire, pas un bonjour, pas un au revoir.
Pour prendre notre commande, le serveur n’utilise pas la parole comme tout bon serveur mais plutôt un hochement de tête pour nous le faire comprendre. On reviendra quand il ne sera pas là.
23/09/2024: Le jus d’orange pressé avait un goût de pulco, les verres étaient sales, les plats de qualité cantine, le service mauvais et le patron odieux.
