21/05/2026: The service wasn't great, and the food was really bad. Too expensive; the €13.90 menu includes a can of soda, and you have to pay an extra €17. The ice cream tasted awful, like alcohol, and the products were frozen. I even found a hair in my candy! I definitely don't recommend it. ⛔️

11/02/2026: A disaster after a very positive first experience... Over an hour's wait for an aperitif and a main course! The waiter was friendly and courteous, but she was alone serving, which didn't help matters! Several dishes and desserts were out of stock... It would be nice if they had announced this beforehand and told the customers! We came from Orléans and left angry with a hefty bill and no compensation whatsoever! There are some fundamental issues that need addressing! We were therefore forced to have dessert elsewhere, at a nearby establishment... In short, this will be the last time we go to this place, which is a shame because we had a good time last June! PS: No regrets, considering the response and the lack of self-reflection!

30/05/2026: Absolutely top-notch, as always for years. I'd like to add that I agree with Stéphane; I prefer my meat well-done (at home). Sometimes it's less cooked than I like, and yet I've never been disappointed. I'm extremely picky about meat, and theirs is very good and flavorful. Also worth mentioning is the exceptional service; you won't find it anywhere else. You feel truly welcome, and thank you!

28/05/2026: I come to Chartres from time to time, but I never miss the chance to eat at Casa Tropical. The owner is very friendly, the welcome is warm, and the food is excellent. Even when you come alone, you're never isolated: the owner, chatty and welcoming, takes the time to talk, and it's not uncommon to chat with other customers in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. Every time, I have a wonderful time: for a few moments, you truly feel transported to the islands. I highly recommend it!
