28/03/2026: A pleasant moment with my partner (Saturday morning, March 28th), a coffee upstairs. However, when it came time to pay downstairs, not a hello, not a thank you, not even a smile (that must be optional). I think there are some people who have no business in this kind of profession where good humor and courtesy should be a given… especially since it's the last impression this person gives of the establishment, even if everything went very well before…

16/03/2026: A lovely terrace with a huge selection of sweet treats for breakfast and afternoon tea. The quality is excellent and the prices are low. The service is good. There's a slightly smaller selection of beer and other drinks for a quick drink.

21/03/2026: The service was quite friendly, especially the rather young waiter. However, as someone familiar with Caribbean cuisine, we were disappointed. The rice was tasteless, as was the Creole sauce. When it came time to pay the bill, it was impossible to modify the menu to just order a starter and a main course, even though we hadn't ordered dessert—well, we had, since they forced us to take it to go... I've never seen anything like it. In short, we won't be back and we don't recommend it.

30/12/2025: I can't imagine a better experience in France than the one we had at Le Parvis. The location is amazing, and the building is nicely updated without sacrificing any of its historic charm. The staff was friendly and helpful and provided a first-rate breakfast that was one of the highlights of our trip.

31/10/2025: We went to La Napolitaine using a Smartbox voucher. The pizza was the best we've had in a long time, and the size was larger than usual. The ingredients were high quality. The service was quick and the waitress was pleasant. The desserts were just as delicious as the pizzas. Don't judge a book by its cover 😉, what matters is what's on your plate. Thank you for a lovely experience.

21/09/2025: An impromptu dinner with my wife last night. Always and still a must-visit place to enjoy pizzas; they are by far the best in Chartres. The service is impeccable. We barely arrived with our dog, and without asking, the owner brought her a drink! A thoughtful touch. Congratulations to the entire team for your professionalism and perseverance, given the construction work that must be disrupting your business somewhat. A big thank you, Patrick Bazot.

06/02/2026: A lovely little get-together on Wednesday evening. We received a very warm welcome in a beautifully decorated room, the cocktails were perfect, and the snacks were delicious.

24/03/2026: Business lunch. Foie gras: good. Areas for improvement: the fries, as they were greasy and slightly overcooked. Service needs improvement: wrong dish, no cutlery, tap water wasn't good so we bought a glass bottle, bread had to be requested. Training must be insufficient and there's no check-in between teams.

23/03/2026: One dish is enough to tell you quickly whether you're eating in a canteen or a real restaurant. The steak tartare was tasteless, accompanied by a quarter of a gherkin and a tenth of an onion. And two capers. Then nothing. No taste, no pleasure, no visual appeal. It was served very, very quickly, too quickly to have been properly cut with a knife. Certainly an industrial preparation. I didn't even consider having dessert for a second. 25 euros for the tartare, no less. I felt nauseous all afternoon until someone gave me a citrate. I'm in favor of establishing a "restaurant" label and a separate "canteen" label where they simply sell industrial food like this. Fortunately, the setting makes up for it somewhat, but if I had a restaurant at the foot of such a building, I would try to be a little more worthy of it. It is a minimum of respect for our ancestors and for all the French and foreign tourists who have been told a lot about the gastronomy of our country which, like too many things these days, no longer lives up to its reputation.

23/02/2026: It's a shame zero stars isn't possible because it was truly the worst experience of my life. One word: run away! I absolutely do not recommend this establishment, which is filthy and staffed with dishonest people. We booked for two nights. To begin with, the key wasn't in the locker when we arrived. We had to find our own way to the room, which was already open, with the key inside. The first night, my 18-month-old daughter became seriously ill because the heating only warmed about 2 cm of the room. The bed was freezing, and using sheets as a duvet in February was appalling. Furthermore, the hotel has never been cleaned since it opened; we found dust and hair everywhere. The room was so cold we fell asleep with our coats on. It was impossible for us to stay another night, so we requested a refund. The receptionist asked for our bank details (RIB) because even she, upon entering the room, remarked, "Oh yes, indeed, it's a penguin room..." We sent the bank details, and to this day, nothing. Today we contacted the establishment, and the woman told us there would be no refund since we didn't stay the night. Before leaving, she assured us she would take care of it. Truly the worst experience ever!!!

18/02/2026: The room was very rustic with only the bare essentials. The soundproofing needs improvement (I didn't sleep a wink all night due to footsteps, furniture being moved at 3 a.m., and constant coming and going on the very noisy stairs). Remember to bring your own shower gel; it's not provided in this Airbnb. The only redeeming feature was the pleasant common areas, but the pool room was too small to play properly (I had to cut the cue in half in three-quarters of the places to be able to play). This was one of the worst experiences I've ever had.
