30/11/2024: Mais quel endroit...... C'est cosy, on s'y sent bien. L'accueil est chaleureux et les plats sont délicieux. Attention, c'est copieux, mais excellent.

24/11/2024: What a wonderful evening I and my 4 friends spent Friday evening at the Paul Germain restaurant! What a great discovery this restaurant that we didn't know existed.
No false notes, everything was perfect from the reception until the moment we left, it was after midnight. We were kindly made to understand that the restaurant was going to close but without the feeling of being rushed towards the exit.
The boss is very nice with a good sense of humor which made us laugh a lot.
His cuisine is delicious, as are the wines. And, at Paul Germain, they don't serve you portions of canary! The dishes are very generous and so good that the plates left empty. The fish was delicious with perfectly mastered cooking, no doubt about the freshness of the product which must have been purchased the same day from the fishmonger. The setting is magnificent, cozy, it's clean and the restaurant is not noisy which is really appreciated. The layout of the restaurant had to be optimized to provide an atmosphere of serenity.
We feel that there is craftsmanship and experience because everything is mastered so that the customer feels good and leaves satisfied.
We will come back because this restaurant is a must in the Brest landscape, to try at least once.

26/01/2026: Superb experience! Good buffet, as well as the main courses, accompanied by homemade fries. A very warm welcome from the new owners! I'll be back as soon as I'm in Brest.

Prices are a bit higher than a few years ago, but finances are tight for everyone.

19/08/2025: I come here occasionally, and the wine has never disappointed me, with excellent recommendations from the server. We tried the foie gras made by the owner of Baragwin, which was delicious. We also tried the charcuterie and cheese platter. I'm already familiar with Sten Marc's cheeses, which are very good, and as for the charcuterie, I've never eaten anything as good!
We'll be back!

The beef samosas are very generously filled and perfectly seasoned.
The crab and shrimp spring rolls are just as good.
The sauces are also delicious.
We were served with a smile.
Thank you for the complimentary items; it was a lovely touch.
The price is more than reasonable considering the fillings and quality.
A real treat!

06/09/2025: I came by one evening, there were two of us around 10 p.m. to eat there. As soon as we arrived, the manager gave us a very bad welcome, his expression tense and surprised to see us. He told us coldly with a grimace on his face that it would not be possible to eat there without giving any other information. I went to the waitress to ask her for 2 pizzas to take away, which I was able to get. Regarding this manager, I don't know the probable reason for his bad look, but I think it's really a big lack of professionalism.

11/02/2026: An excellent all-you-can-eat brunch: plenty of choice, including oysters and salmon. The portions are generous and the price is justified by the quality of the food. We will gladly return.

22/11/2025: Shameful, appalling service. In 1 hour and 15 minutes we only received the appetizer, and they came to send us dessert even though we still hadn't received the main course... unheard of...
31/10/2025: A restaurant worth discovering.
Even this time of year, because while the view is no longer visible, everything happens indoors. The decor, the soft lighting, and the added bonus of a blanket if needed create a cozy atmosphere.
The cuisine is refined and beautifully presented (a delightful discovery, for example, the sea bream tartare with apple and kiwi).
Their special touch, which is by no means diminished, is the service, which is efficient, attentive, welcoming, and above all, friendly.
(Thank you for the birthday candle!) Four stars for desserts due to a lack of choice (especially for those who aren't big fans of caramel), but the ice cream sundaes certainly make up for it.
Four stars overall to entice us to come back and try it again.

04/03/2026: A slight disappointment in terms of taste. In my admittedly somewhat hazy memories, there were some very tasty Asian-inspired dishes. This whole thing lacked flavor, and for the price, we expected better, especially in Brest.
03/03/2026: An excellent dinner at Le Nautilus, featuring surprising scallops: incredibly tender, a blend of surf and turf flavors with a meat jus that pairs equally well with Chardonnay or a red wine, and a delightful mix of textures between the velvety parsnip purée and the crispy chips. The desserts are equally impressive, particularly the delicious blueberry and chestnut vacherin, which also plays very skillfully with textures. The atmosphere is serene, with a magnificent aquarium and a pleasant background of pop-rock classics, and the service is very attentive.

10/10/2025: So no, gastronomy shouldn't cost this much. There are incredible restaurants, much better for €100 per person (the price of the Hinoki menu a few years ago, by the way). I don't know why prices here have gone up so much, but the food, while excellent, doesn't justify it at all. €165 now seems like a rip-off.
30/08/2025: A meal as relaxing as it was soothing, as surprising as it may seem. Excellent cuisine, and a chef who shared his knowledge of Japanese culture with us. In short, a perfect evening, go there with your eyes closed! We sincerely hope to be able to return.
