14/03/2024: Very nice with a wonderful view when, like that day, the surrounding nature was snow-covered, and the bright sun warmed the atmosphere!! I only stopped this early morning to have coffee with a friend. It’s a safe bet that I would go back there one day to have lunch there!!

03/04/2024: Mediocre as can be. The impression that the cooking is sloppy unlike at the end of 2023! Restaurant or Self? It was very good and warm a few months ago. Unimportant establishment. It's a shame !

24/03/2024: Very disappointed We came there to have a good time. Soulless decor, atmosphere in the same style. Looking at the menu, there are no seasonal or local regional products. So we chose a plate of tapas from the menu: various donuts (frozen?) Black olives and sausage. Then requested blue steak, cooking not respected because slice much too thin, €25. Prawns (dish chosen by default since no regional offer) with vegetable risotto (a few very small pieces of carrot). Question to the waitress about cooking risotto, response, "I don't know". We were obliged to suggest that she go and find out. We are in Ariège where there are so many local products to highlight!!! Well, we don't understand at all the laudatory comments we read, has the chef changed recently?

02/04/2024: I can't help but give this restaurant 5 stars, it fully deserves it. In an atmosphere of good friends, a welcome that is a pleasure to see, an establishment decorated in an artisanal way. As for dishes, I would recommend the cuts of beef. Also try the piece of beef for 2, it's a treat accompanied by a little Ariégeois wine, but I'll let the host tell you about it, he will do it better than me. Desserts are also homemade. Finally, a good address to discover or rediscover.

02/04/2024: On the way back from vacation, we stopped at this establishment. A warm brasserie, with seats inside but also on the terrace. Brasserie cuisine, simple, hearty, and very good. The salad at the counter was very generous! The burger counter also, toasted bread with good homemade fries and excellent meat and cheese inside. A little disappointed, however, by the dessert of the day, the tarte tatin which arrived cold and without any crunch (no puff pastry or crunchy biscuits at the bottom), too bad. The staff is smiling, pleasant, efficient. The boss is friendly and asks you if you have eaten well and thanks you and greets you when you leave, which is nice. It’s a good address on Ax!
