07/09/2025: I've never seen anything like it before: half-raw pizza dough, a €21 sirloin steak that had more nerve than meat, an hour to get a simple drink, the guy completely ignored us, pointed out that there weren't that many people and that they'd rather clear the tables than come and serve us, and what's more, the server went to the same table four times without stopping to bring us menus or anything! I'll never come back, that's for sure! Now I hope I don't get sick. My pineapple pizza was more of a pizza with dough than anything else. You couldn't taste the curry or the cream, and even the pineapple had practically no flavor...

04/09/2025: Great mezze.. we had humus, baba come with 2 beautiful fluffy breads and chandura salad .top and reasonable price...

04/06/2024: Fuimos un grupo vacacional, 33 personas, todos mayores salvo la guía y el chófer. Aperitivos correctos, luego medio capón y patatas fritas, muy muy bien hecho todo: buen producto, abundante y bien presentado. El postre fue un budín casero, con caramelo y algo más, delicioso. La ubicación, idónea.

15/01/2026: It was in the center of the village, bisected by the D117 road between Perpignan and Foix, that we stopped at the Palais Cathare restaurant. There, we enjoyed a warm and friendly welcome and service from this charming couple. The cuisine is generous and delicious, even in the very economical set menu of the day, featuring traditional dishes prepared in a family atmosphere. Parking is available directly opposite. 05/05/2024: Prix abordables mais c’est vraiment y le seul point positif. Service à revoir (commande prise au bout de 30 min), qualité des plats décevante. À éviter, il y’a bien mieux en centre ville si vous êtes de passage dans la région

15/09/2024: Great place Le Casti… good food and good drinks, on the beautiful medieval square in Mirepoix… I had the crispy chicken goujons with frites and a Grimbergen beer. Lovely. People at Le Casti are very friendly too, makes all the difference.

10/09/2024: Le Casti is a popular restaurant and bar on the main square. It’s a smart place with good service, and a pleasant place to sit and watch the world trundle past, They have a decent selection of pression but the most ordinary lager they had is apparently Grimbergen, which is way too strong for a session beer, and not really to our taste.

22/09/2024: A quiet location in September, beautiful green places. Sanitary facilities outdated but clean. Friendly owner. Please note: very high thresholds when entering the campsite with the camper. The stamps of our level system hit them! The lake (for which I came) was personally disappointing to me. I have paddled around the lake, but you first have to go through a dirty yellow clay layer before you stand on your paddle board. As a result, no clear water. Once on the water, the lake appears beautifully blue. The lake was very deserted in September. Didn't even see any water birds!

31/08/2024: An incredible restaurant plus the view is really worth it. It has been a very good experience. I really like the area in summer, it's amazing.

21/08/2024: A restaurant with a magnificent view, we ate there twice but the service and welcome were really average. We took a children's menu and as usual it's a scoop of ice cream, but we saw a little girl having an ice cream, so we asked for the same thing but that's not possible... in short, disappointed and excessive!

31/08/2024: Un excellent moment autour d’un délicieux déjeuner. De l’apéritif au café, nous nous sommes régalés ! Des plats élaborés avec soin et joliment présentés, le tout avec une vue magnifique sur les montagnes. Nous reviendrons avec plaisir!

21/08/2024: La cuisine est excellente raffinée copieuse... vaisselles diverses et très intéressantes....belle vue panoramique... serveurs et serveuses très courtois...

15/09/2025: ATTENTION, HIKER FRIENDS: This cottage no longer exists. I just learned about it today while we're hiking the Chemin des Bonshommes next week. I booked in July and paid the full amount for 4 people. I haven't heard from the owner. SO, DON'T PAY ANYTHING AND LOOK SOMETHING ELSE.

16/09/2025: Excellent stage for 5 cyclists crossing the Pyrenees from west to east, the previous stage arrived in CierpGaud at the Hotel des 2 Rives.
