07/06/2026: We arrived unexpectedly on a Saturday evening, June 6th, 2026, at 8 pm, with 11 people. We received a wonderfully warm welcome. The meat was perfect, the cassoulet perfect, the foie gras perfect, and the presentation of the meat before cooking was exquisite. I highly recommend this restaurant.

07/06/2026: Amazing place and hosts, such lovely people. After travelling through the Pyrenees for two weeks, we finally felt like we ate proper, good French food. It was trully excellent, best meal we had all trip. We hope to come back here one day and regret staying in Aulus-les-bains instead of here. If you are planning to explore the area, I would definitely recommend this hotel as your base. Or also just for a one night stop or to eat. We also saw an otter swim as we sat at our table overlooking the river. The owners can tell you all kinds of amazing things about the region and they are happy to have a chat with you which is great if you're looking for things to do

20/09/2026: Went for a bite to eat and a drink, and ended up waiting an hour. Our order was incomplete, and for two ice creams and two waffles, we've already waited 30 minutes. Thirty minutes to order is a long time! 😅 Don't be in a hurry if you come! 😅

28/08/2026: I got a charcuterie board, which was excellent quality for the price. The views, of course, are stunning from atop the Col de Port. A great place for a pit stop after making the ascent.

17/07/2026: We stopped for lunch on our way to Spain. It was worth the 5 minutes detour. Friendly staff welcomed us and served a delicious entrecôte.

The portions were very generous, the terrine was delicious, the fries were homemade, the meat was cooked just the way I like it, and for dessert, a lemon crepe for me and a sugar crepe for him, all for 65 euros including drinks. We visited the market in the morning and finished at the restaurant – it was fantastic!

29/05/2026: We visited Hotel Lons for two nights as part of a visit to the cave of Niaux and Foix castle. The staff, especially Mr Chaubert, were very kind in assisting to reserve a taxi and make dinner reservations. The hotel is very well-located walking distance from the train station and is in an area with many restaurants, shops, and attractions that are within walking distance as well. The rooms are comfortable and pretty. The breakfast is plentiful and delicious, and the patio overlooking the river is a peaceful place to enjoy coffee or drinks. We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Hotel Lons and hope to make a return visit next summer to see the sights that we missed this time.

29/05/2026: I have a fibroid. Every woman who has experienced this knows how difficult it is. The manager of this hotel singled me out because I had the misfortune of having a heavy period the day before and kicked me out of the hotel. A woman. Therefore, I do not recommend this hotel to menstruating women. A disgrace.

30/09/2026: A huge thank you to the waitress and kitchen staff for a delightful menu featuring both traditional and unusual dishes (the spinach and black pudding tart was delicious), and the cheesecake was heavenly... This restaurant's reputation precedes it, but honestly, it was a pleasant surprise to discover it for the first time. Humorously labeled a "dog bar" by the owner, what a wonderful welcome for the dogs... water and treats! In short, a fantastic and convivial time on the terrace by the stream! Bravo, and see you soon!

15/06/2026: Close to the centre in a quiet location. Very comfortable establishment with a simple and efficient welcome, air conditioning is a plus, very good bedding, the breakfast is complete with very good homemade jams and, essential for us, dogs are welcome.
