21/02/2026: What a wonderful restaurant! We were greeted by Jérôme, a fantastic host. He truly understands his customers. The set menu consisted of a starter of snails, a recipe from his grandmother. A delicious dish of escargots followed, along with tomatoes and small sausages. Our main course, the sirloin steak, was perfectly cooked, the result was excellent. In short, a lovely meal, a good glass of wine, and outstanding service. What more could you ask for when you're dining with friends?

07/02/2026: A wonderful discovery on a rainy day! The welcome was friendly, and the food was just as delicious and plentiful! Beef tartare, fish en papillote, fish and chips...everything was good, even the fries were a delight! I highly recommend it!

19/01/2026: We had an excellent meal on a Sunday at lunchtime. The meat was melt-in-your-mouth tender. The portions were generous, and the vegetable gratin was a delight. The decor skillfully blends old stone walls with Art Deco. An unlikely combination, but one that works beautifully. And the waitress was simply lovely, so attentive to both adults and children (I think my 7-year-old son fell in love with her!). We will gladly return to try the other many meat dishes on the menu.

The dishes were delicious, prepared with fresh ingredients and beautifully presented. Special mention to the chef who wonderfully accommodated our request for vegetarian dishes. You can feel a real passion in the kitchen! I highly recommend this restaurant and I will definitely return.

01/02/2026: We arrived at 12 pm and were still admitted. I want to thank the manager and his team for the excellent service. They were fantastic! They were all smiles from beginning to end, despite a busy evening. The meal was excellent, the meat was cooked to perfection! The homemade fries were delicious. The desserts were also very good. I highly recommend going there if you're looking for a good restaurant in Angoulême. Thank you again.

02/02/2026: Last year, our first try was good, but a bit greasy: apart from a stomach ache, it was fine. We tried again last Friday: food poisoning, and on the third day, our stomachs still haven't recovered. (And yet my partner has a strong stomach!) The burger was too greasy, making it hard to digest. It's a shame because the combinations on the menu are original.

27/01/2026: We go there once a month, sometimes more, and it's always a real pleasure. The meat is excellent, the red wine is superb, and the charcuterie is simply incredible. You can really taste the quality of the ingredients; everything is fresh and flavorful. And on top of that, the chef is fantastic: welcoming, passionate, and it shows in the food. I wholeheartedly recommend this place to anyone who appreciates good food and quality ingredients!

20/01/2026: Excellent homemade dish. Lunch menu (starter, main course, and dessert) is currently €18. Good value for money. Only slight drawback: the portions are small for a hearty eater like me.

24/12/2025: The pork cheek served today, December 24th, at lunchtime was extraordinary. My son ate the most beautiful vegetables of his life with his scallops. The molten chocolate sauce was divine. And all that for the price of a McDonald's meal. I hesitated for a long time to share this address for fear it might change, but I think it's time to publicly declare that it's by far the best value for money in the Charente region. €18 for a starter, main course, dessert, and a glass of wine. And every dish was absolutely delicious. Bravo to the chef and the waitress! Happy holidays! Please come back with your creativity and kindness. Bravo!

02/12/2025: A small, unique menu with a choice of starter and dessert. Refined, homemade cuisine—a culinary surprise every day 🤩 The staff is fantastic and very friendly, and you can see into the kitchen without the smells, just like being at home. Go without hesitation!

28/11/2025: Passing through Angoulême, the wood-fired cooking was perfect, the meat was of exceptional quality and the welcome was warm.

26/11/2025: A warm, cozy atmosphere, just like at our grandparents' house. A rib of beef cooked over a fireplace, adding a crispy crust and a wood-fired flavor.
