10/01/2026: As a culinary professional (private chef and master saucier), I feel compelled to leave this review after an extremely disappointing experience, especially considering the overall rating of 4.7, which I find completely unjustified. Aside from the Mont-Blanc beer and the glass of wine, the €80 spent was unfortunately not justified by the food. The mushroom velouté, first of all, was sorely lacking in soul and skill: no aromatic depth, no distinctive character, not even a textural element or finishing touch (golden croutons, herbs, sprouts, etc.). Clearly, the porcini mushrooms were not of high quality, and the result was bland and uninteresting. Serving razor clams in the middle of January, more than 300 km from the sea, is already a cause for concern. But beyond the questionable choice, the execution was lacking: a rubbery texture, poorly executed parsley butter, and a dated, imprecise presentation. The beef and sautéed potatoes confirmed our disappointment. The meat was of mediocre quality, sinewy, and had an elastic texture, likely indicating a poorly selected or improperly handled animal. This is all the more regrettable given that the nearby Ardèche plateau offers remarkable products when properly prepared. The potatoes, for their part, were bland, unseasoned, and lacked any real flair. A simple sprinkle of fleur de sel would have been the bare minimum. As a master saucier, I can only note a general lack of skill in seasoning throughout the entire meal. We decided against dessert, fearing another disappointment, unless perhaps the person in the kitchen was more of a pastry chef than a cook. The welcome wasn't bad, a bit rushed, and the bread on the table was quite good, which, for me, is a sign of ethics and respect for the customer. There's a lack of good wine recommendations, and personally, I would never work with a wine merchant like Champoutier. Again, if necessary, I have my own cellars and suppliers, both organic and conventional, who grow their own produce. I sincerely regret having to write this review, but hypocritical kindness serves neither customers nor French restaurants, which deserve better. This review is intended to be honest, objective, and constructive. A decoration that will make motorcycle fans cry I don't even talk about the service Smiling, don't rush us, nice But then the burger He was excellent I had the montagnard and I'm not lying, it was the best burger I've eaten in my life And the old fashioned fries are perfectly crispy, I don't even talk about them I asked for a miraculous diabolo and I received a diabolo mug with a decoration The cook is an ace of flavors Frankly dark especially for this ridiculous price compared with this taste work

30/11/2024: Extremely disappointing We knew this bistro well having been there several times. Nothing was left on the agenda. Average quality of meals. Flank steak served almost cold and cut into small pieces (we wonder if they are not meat scraps. Very surprising) unkempt canteen-style presentation of the dishes. Warm fries. Average desserts Extremely long and poor service (put at the table around 12:30 p.m. left the restaurant at 3 p.m.) For an addition worthy of a good restaurant!!! And we were very far from it. We will never go back there again.
