29/09/2024: We had a very pleasant stay in this place. Very clean and luxurious suite. Top notch bedding. We had our dinner at the hotel brasserie. Excellent and very friendly staff. Hearty breakfast. Special mention to Clara and especially Arthur… I promise if I pass through Chartres dear Arthur you will be able to pilot (out of service of course… the Granturismo) and I always keep my promises. Small suggestion however, following a disappointment... it would perhaps be necessary to arrange a time slot for children's spa access under the responsibility of the parents. 29/09/2024: Well located, the hotel offers impeccable service both in terms of well-decorated, clean and comfortable rooms and in terms of quality breakfast. The welcome is perfect, professional and pleasant from start to finish. The bar is beautiful and worth a visit too for a cocktail🍸even without staying at the hotel!

13/09/2024: Hotel is not worth its price, reception is questionable, no service to carry luggage or park a car at 700 meters for people with mobility limitations. The star restaurant closed, brasserie very normal. Anyone who wants a freshly baked sandwich for breakfast will also be disappointed, as the bread is certainly a few days old. Will never recommend this hotel

25/06/2024: Très bon accueil sympathique et qualité tout à fait honnête. Pas en "première ligne" mais plus au calme. Merci pour ce déjeuner dans une rue agréable avec une belle vue sur la cathédrale

04/11/2024: Nous avons couché une nuit au Parvis ; très gentiment accueillis par François et son fils. Petit hôtel merveilleusement situé à une minute de la cathédrale. Chambre impeccable avec petit salon impeccables. Une super adresse. petit déjeuner très copieux. Patron pince sans rire et bienveillant. Bref, nous y retournerons !

25/09/2024: I stayed in this lovely, small hotel for one night in September 2024. The staff were friendly and I enjoyed the breakfast. Guests can see the cathedral from the front steps. I would stay here again.

11/09/2024: Calamars à la romaine et moules du Mont St Michel avec un verre de sancerre blanc, tout était délicieux 😋 Le service a été très efficace et aimable . Les prix sont vraiment corrects. Je recommande vraiment ce restaurant.

23/05/2024: Bar where you feel at home. Beautifully decorated. Old tiles. Old furniture. Very good charcuterie and cheese platters. Very good beers to discover. Very nice atmosphere. I highly and highly recommend. At the foot of the cathedral.

17/09/2024: I was desperately looking for a pub in Chartres, but a REAL one! I was looking for a decor, an atmosphere and of course: the menu that goes with it. Finally I found it after many fruitless and disappointing searches. The Ellan-Vannin is EXACTLY what I was looking for. The atmosphere and decor reminds me of certain old school London pubs where I had my habits, woodwork and posters glorifying what the occupants like. What can I say about the menu... First time I've seen draft Guinness in Chartres, I'm in heaven, and a myriad of Whiskeys, I've arrived in paradise! The boss welcomed me like a genuine man, you can believe that he is not smiling but his heart shows through as the conversation progresses. Should I say an “ancient host”? (Be careful, in my words this is one of the greatest compliments). I love everything about this pub, without having tasted their food yet (but I couldn't resist posting my opinion already) I saw the nibbles they served, it's made with love and that to looks delicious! I FINALLY found it and I can't wait to go back! A new regular.

12/08/2024: One of our favorite bars! The atmosphere is cool, the choice of drinks is vast and the team is top notch! Not to mention the most significant: the chef's cuisine.

31/08/2024: Nous avons passé un bon moment au restaurant Sully à Chartres. Le burger Sully est à recommander : savoureux, bien garni, avec des ingrédients frais et de qualité 🍔. Un régal pour les papilles ! L’ambiance est agréable et l’équipe est accueillante. 👍 Petit bémol à signaler : l'étage et les toilettes de l'étage ne sont malheureusement pas accessibles aux personnes à mobilité réduite. ⚠️ Malgré cela, une adresse sympa pour se régaler en plein cœur de Chartres ! 😊

16/07/2024: I dessert e caffè erano buoni, ma non ci hanno presentato i prezzi prima, e la sorpresa non ci è piaciuta. Il personale è stato poco gentile, direi quasi scocciato. E non ha dato spiegazioni sul prezzo ed il comportamento.

25/11/2024: Excellente crêperie Service impeccable, discret et efficace . Crêpes bien garnies ,beaucoup de choix et d’excellentes qualités. Pour nous c’est la meilleure crêperie de Chartres. Nous y reviendrons rapidement.

In Chartres, the sun is not always in the sky, but you can always find it behind the counter of the Brasserie de l'Ouest.
