12/09/2026: Unfortunately, it was closed even though Google says it's open, and there's no reopening date on the door. Not very customer-friendly. The owners' response doesn't surprise me, and for your information, I was there with my 82-year-old mother who has difficulty walking. So I stand by my decision, and we ate well elsewhere, so no, I'm not frustrated.

04/10/2026: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Excellent restaurant from start to finish! The chef prepares the dishes right in front of you, using fresh, high-quality ingredients. Everything is carefully prepared, generous, and perfectly executed. The value for money is simply exceptional. The service is also top-notch: precise, attentive, and very pleasant. The restaurant was full this Saturday evening, which doesn't surprise us at all. Reservations are highly recommended! Nothing to add… except: go without hesitation!

02/10/2026: Passing through Maintenon. What a pleasant surprise! An exceptional restaurant! A warm welcome and excellent service despite the crowds. Original, refined, delicious, and generous cuisine. Very good value for money. A must-try for locals and travelers alike. Note: Reservations are required.

27/09/2026: The dish was good, but it's nowhere near the standard of a restaurant that requires a €300 credit card imprint and calls us three times to confirm our reservation. For dessert, I ordered a flan supposedly flavored with Madagascar vanilla and tonka bean. In the end, I received something like a very dense, pre-packaged flan mix from a supermarket, with neither tonka bean nor Madagascar vanilla. (At €10 for the flan, I expected a minimum level of quality...) And as for the service... 20 minutes to get the menu, an hour for the main course, another hour for dessert, and 15 minutes to finally pay; at least we'll remember that! 😅

27/09/2026: A terrible experience that felt like a bad joke, nothing like the reviews. Perhaps an epidemic has affected all the owners? The restaurant tries to create a level of prestige it doesn't have: credit card authorization, calls the day before and the morning of our reservation to confirm our booking—we were expecting a unique experience! The restaurant only has a very limited menu (4?), so it took us 20 minutes to get a menu to share between 8 people... Taking our order was a bit chaotic after 4 rounds of review! At least there was no risk of mistakes; (the first 3 were wrong). We were finally served 1 hour and 15 minutes after our arrival! (Well behind several customers who arrived after us). As for the drinks, they were quite good; the wine and fruit liqueur combinations were varied and original. The head waiter, very professional, changed one of our glasses when a fly got into it. Unfortunately, the new glass arrived with a tiny gnat inside... The side dish was nothing special: simple mashed potatoes with a small piece of broccoli and a nice slice of celery (which hadn't been mentioned when the waiter presented the side dish). As for the duck, it was good, cooked to perfection, and the accompanying sauce had flavor. For dessert, we waited another 45 minutes. The flan was very heavy, chalky, and bland. The financier and ganache were quite good, but the pear was almost completely absent from the dish. The three small slices of cheese, like the rest of the meal, were served without bread... We had to ask for it. Not to mention the semolina pudding with roasted fig... Presented with a fig jam coulis instead of the expected roasted fig, on top of a dense semolina pudding. Continuing the experience, we waited 15 minutes before we could pay. That's when we discovered the highlight of the show: my wife had ordered a Diet Coke, served in a pretty glass with two small lemon slices, and these unasked lemon slices were charged as an extra... Main course 3/5 Dessert 2/5 Service 1/5 Drink enriched with insects 4/5 Extra lemon slice for the rip-off 5/5

19/09/2026: A very good meal from the amuse-bouche to the coffee. Everything was refined, visually appealing, and perfectly balanced. Having informed us that there were vegetarians in our party, several starters were made available, and the chef prepared a special dish not listed on the menu. In short, I highly recommend it for the very pleasant staff, the simple yet elegant setting, and especially for the superbly executed cuisine.

28/09/2026: We held our daughter's christening at L'Amphitryon. The meal was a hit with all our guests, the service was impeccable, the menu was adapted for the pregnant women present, and the children's menu was also a success. We were also able to have a tiered cake delivered from a bakery in Chartres without any problems. I highly recommend it and wouldn't hesitate to hold future family events there.

05/09/2026: Wedding anniversary and a craving for sweetbreads. It was on the menu, perfect. The welcome was warm and friendly. We had a reservation. We ordered an aperitif and our set menus. We had time to finish our drinks when the starters arrived. Cockles and mussels in cauliflower sauce, then sweetbreads with bacon, accompanied by coconut and other vegetables. A real treat! Then red berries and melon infused with verbena, served in a glass with sparkling wine. Good service, no wait, excellent meal.

17/07/2026: I am deeply shocked by what just happened to me. It's 7:30 p.m. on Friday, July 17th. I was enjoying a pleasant time with my family, and we decided to get Starbucks. Unfortunately, this outing was ruined by the cashier's behavior. After I voluntarily gave him the exact change to facilitate the payment, he didn't give me the €10 I was owed. When I pointed out this mistake, he immediately claimed he had given it back. Anxious to avoid any confusion, I emptied my pockets and meticulously checked my wallet in front of him: the €10 simply wasn't there. Despite this, he continued to deny everything, without making a single effort to understand the situation or find a solution. This attitude is profoundly unprofessional. Rather than acknowledging a possible error or simply checking his till, he preferred to question a customer's word. I find this behavior unacceptable and particularly disrespectful. An employee refusing to take responsibility for a possible mistake for fear of internal repercussions should never be to the detriment of the customer. To quote him, "Sir, I'm afraid of receiving a warning." Such an experience is unworthy of a business with this reputation. I leave with a feeling of injustice and profound disappointment. I absolutely do not recommend this establishment and urge future customers to be extremely vigilant at the checkout, or better yet, avoid it altogether.

This establishment offers a peaceful and relaxing environment, where the beauty of nature blends perfectly with the kindness and professionalism of the staff. Special mention for the duck burger, simply exceptional! 🥹🤤

26/04/2026: Fantastic experience at Moulin à Vent! The evening meal was truly excellent, with a high-quality set menu and sophisticated dishes. The room was spotless, spacious, with a magnificent view of the countryside: incredibly relaxing. Warm welcome, we highly recommend it!

12/09/2026: Once again, I was pleasantly surprised by this superb establishment. Hotel and restaurant in the heart of Combres (Eure-et-Loir). The welcome was warm, as was the service. The menu is very simple, but the dishes are amazing! The starter, main course, snack, cheese, and dessert were all excellent, especially since they were made with fresh ingredients. I highly recommend it! 😊🤗🤗 Best of luck to the manager who is going the extra mile to satisfy his customers.
