05/09/2026: Had a coffee & rented bikes to visit Monets home and garden. Such a lovely visit & very friendly staff.

05/09/2026: My daughter and I rented bikes from L’arrivee de Giverny. The staff was helpful, kind, friendly. We got a lock and helmet included in our rental. The price was exceptionally reasonable and affordable and was in good working condition. We rode to Monet’s Madison & Jardin (20 min beautiful bike ride). Upon return we had a latte and a muffin from them. The staff was again great and the food was a perfect end to our adventure here in Vernon-Giverny. Highly recommend renting a bike from them and stopping buy and grabbing a bite from their cafe.

11/09/2026: We were served by a very pleasant young waitress, a new employee. There's a 10% surcharge on drinks consumed on the premises. We were enjoying our meal when the owner suddenly stood in front of us to check our tray and announced there was a mistake, demanding an additional charge of €3.30. We recalculated our bill and found the error was only €2.42. The difference is due to the fact that the 10% surcharge is added to each item, rounding up to the nearest euro. We simply applied the 10% to the total without rounding, knowing that 1 and 2 cent coins are still in use. All this to say that this person isn't very transparent in her accounting or pricing displays, and above all, she's very unpleasant and suspicious of her staff. It's no wonder the young employee makes mistakes under the pressure the owner puts on her, scrutinizing her every move. Good luck to her!

12/09/2026: We arrived late, but received a fantastic welcome and a great meal for a group of seven hungry bikers. The owners made us feel right at home. We didn't do karaoke, but it's available. Easy access and plenty of parking for motorcycles 🏍️. A wonderful experience, thank you.

23/08/2026: I went there today and I think she realized we were tourists. For a Coke and a beer, I gave her €10, she gave me €2.50 in change, so €7.50 in total – unheard of!

22/08/2026: ⭐ Exceptional review after the Bernay market ⭐ We had a wonderful time in this very cozy restaurant after a morning at the market. The owners and staff are particularly attentive and create a warm atmosphere. As for the food, everything was delicious: the sea bass, the salad, the rump steak, and especially the sweet and savory chicken—a real treat! The very tempting desserts confirmed the experience, with a special mention for the caramel cheesecake… pure bliss 🍰. ‼️I highly recommend this place for its welcoming atmosphere, its delicious food, and its pleasant setting ‼️

02/08/2026: We had a great idea coming for lunch this Sunday because the food was absolutely delicious. The ingredients are local and of good quality. The dishes are fresh daily and beautifully presented. The owner is very attentive and friendly. We'll definitely come back for the evenings because I imagine the atmosphere must be fantastic.

26/07/2026: This restaurant is not recommended. The waitress was unfriendly, and the service was deplorable. After waiting for over an hour, we still weren't served, even though there were only three other customers. Furthermore, there was no choice of rosé wine; we were forced to order Corsican rosé at €20 a bottle. We left after an hour without eating. The staff lacks professionalism. I do not recommend this restaurant.

17/08/2026: A very warm welcome. Simple and efficient cuisine. Fresh and varied buffet. Varied menu. Very good quality homemade fried meat and fresh salad. Excellent homemade desserts too. A first visit and certainly not the last.

09/07/2026: I won't say much, except that it's very good, the portion size is just right. The owner and his partner are very friendly. The previous owner who's helping them out is really kind of her to be passing the torch and supporting them as much as possible. They make a great team. You can go there without hesitation.

02/08/2026: As the only customer in the shop, I waited before anyone bothered to serve me. On top of that, the apple tarts were €4.10 a slice, and I suspect the pastry wasn't fresh. Very disappointing.

24/08/2026: A very bad experience at Café des Arts. After a 20-minute wait, we were finally served at a dirty table that was never cleaned. When we asked about the cocktails, the waiter curtly told us to just read the menu. The €6.80 cheese plate was very disappointing: only three small pieces of cheese, stale bread, a few crisps, and two peanuts. To top it all off, the glasses were simply placed on the table, and the waiter demanded immediate payment before we even had a chance to take a sip. We were the only table to be treated this way. Unpleasant welcome, unprofessional service, and truly poor value for money. I do not recommend this establishment.

24/08/2026: A terrible experience at Café des Arts. After a 20-minute wait at a dirty table, the waiter finally arrived. The table was never cleaned, by the way. When we ordered fruit juices, he immediately told us they would be by the glass, claiming he was out of small bottles. When we asked him for an explanation of the cocktail menu, he curtly told us to read it, as everything was written there. As for the food, the €6.80 cheese plate was a joke: three measly pieces of cheese in a small dish, accompanied by stale bread, three crisps, and two peanuts. To top it all off, the waiter simply placed the glasses on the table without any service, then demanded immediate payment before we could even take a sip. We were the only table to be treated this way. An absolute lack of professionalism. A place to avoid; go somewhere else!

22/08/2026: We came back to try the terrace with the new owners, and it was perfect. The children loved it. We also had generous portions and tried several different starters, main courses, pizzas, and desserts. We were delighted and will definitely be back. Not to mention the new decor! The fresh colors make the restaurant feel bigger. Congratulations!

20/08/2026: I came to get a crepe for an afternoon snack, and it was excellent and generously filled.

18/08/2026: My friend and I just wanted to get a drink, so we each ordered peach syrup and water for a total of €5. The price is exorbitant for the quality; they didn't even provide a straw or an ice cube in the summer! And let's not forget the owner's behavior—he touched my friend's shoulder without her consent. I do not recommend this place. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

04/08/2026: An unpleasant owner who brushes off customers. We come every year to eat during the motorcycle flea market; the prices are already exorbitant, and this time I was passing through with friends. We thought we'd get some coffee, but to our great surprise, it was closed. We thought we'd get some water while we waited, and then the owner came out of his restaurant and started insulting us. Avoid it like the plague!

28/08/2026: Coldness is the defining characteristic of this establishment... certainly a new type of cooking emerging from this region... little known elsewhere, that's for sure... Sea bream and its cold vegetables... flank steak and its equally cold accompaniments... gourmet poultry and its mashed potatoes... or rather, should we say poultry that made the chef's head spin... more sinew than meat... In short, avoid this establishment unless you don't care about your wallet.

24/08/2026: I had a fantastic time at Le Grand Cerf. From the moment I arrived, everything was absolutely perfect. You can really taste the work and expertise of a Michelin-starred chef behind every dish. The food was beautifully presented, piping hot, and everything was meticulously prepared. The service was also very friendly, warm, and attentive. I loved the large window overlooking the kitchen; it allowed me to watch the chefs at work. There were only two of them in the kitchen, and frankly, you could see they were working with great dedication and passion. A truly wonderful experience from beginning to end. I had a fantastic time and I'll gladly return soon.
