22/07/2024: Very good caterer, we were able to taste quite a few dishes from the aperitif to the reception at the meal. They were nice, generous portions. Big favorite for the burger, the glavlax salmon, the chocolate fondant, the risotto in the dish. The waitresses were also friendly. The brunch the next day was also very generous and very good.

15/07/2024: Good welcome, at the start, then Welcome, a little colder with the waitress, we took a summer formula and were very satisfied, very good and very generous, finishing with a nice little dessert for a very reasonable price and at the end best understanding with the waitress so very positive, with a very nice terrace, we don't have the impression of being in the area, I recommend this restaurant

02/09/2024: Nous avons dîné dormi et pris le petit-déjeuner dans cette petite auberge. L'accueil est très sympathique. Le cadre est particulièrement agréable, en pleine nature, dans un calme absolu avec une vue panoramique magnifique tant depuis la terrasse ou la salle du restaurant que depuis la chambre. La cuisine se veut simple avec des produits frais et locaux. Au menu: rillettes de poisson agrémentées de pousses de poireaux, saucisses aux lentilles vertes du Puy sauce au bleu, fromage frais battu, tarte fine aux pommes accompagnée d'une délicieuse petite réduction de gelée de framboise. Le rapport qualité prix est difficile à battre puisque la formule étape ( dîner + petit- petit-déjeuner) est à 30 €. L'absence de télévision est un plus pour profiter du moment. Un grand merci au chef, patron, réceptionniste, serveur...

24/08/2024: Absolutely atypical restaurant. We appreciated everything: the decor, the home cooking, the good humor and kindness of the owner, the table football... Visiting the abbey is not enough when you come to La Chaise-Dieu!! A stop is essential at Fougaou!!

18/08/2024: Good welcome, long service, exorbitant prices for the products offered. A 30€ menu for a porcini mushroom velouté, a tagliatelle gratin with cream, there was no fish or meat and a dessert. The price does not correspond to the dishes chosen which correspond more to cooking that one would make at home.

10/09/2024: Hello, I spent a romantic weekend with my darling, a perfect welcome, attentive and very friendly staff. Nice little room and very clean with a view over the whole valley. We took the cocooning formula which included SPA, HAMMAM, SAUNA and MASSAGES. On the other hand, where I didn't like it at all and because of that I won't go back there again, it's the SPA part, it was a SPA like you find in many private homes, neither more nor less (and in the more the power of the whirlpools is really very bad), the problem is that you have to queue to be able to access it and when you are inside, people sit next to you to make you understand that they would like to be able to enjoy it too (so small SPA and not private, it's not at all what we expect when we have a romantic weekend). In short, it could be noted on the brochure. Besides that, my darling and I had a massage and it was more than perfect, friendly masseuses who took great care of us. Now the restaurant part, very nice place with a beautiful view and a beautiful terrace, large space inside. As for the cooking, it was perfect and homemade, even the desserts. And there's another downside (I know I'm never happy). We enter the restaurant and the first thing we see is a stepladder against the wall and right next to it a table against the wall with a mountain of loose laundry and boxes of glass, I know it's a detail but it's a shame because in addition there was a curtain next to it which could have hidden all that. For breakfast, it's a bit everywhere like in any hotel but the owner does the service barefoot, it doesn't look very classy when you run this style of establishment. In short, lots of little things to complain about, like an electrical outlet torn out and dangling in a hallway or a candelabra also dangling in the garden against a wall. It remains a luxury castle and everything must be perfect.

12/09/2024: Bon accueil,cuisine simple mais parfaite..salle à manger agréable,me rappelant des repas en famille d autrefois.. J adore être du côté des pensionnaires,un air familial..avec la télévision pour être comme chez soi.. Le personnel est à l écoute,et nous servent avec le sourire.. Je recommande. 29/06/2024: L'avis donné l'an dernier lors de notre passage en septembre, est confirmé cette année. L'hôtel "Le Chatiague" est un établissement qui gagne une place de choix dans le palmarès des hôtels, pour sa cuisine familiale et son ambiance détendue. Notre séjour de 3 nuits à 3 personnes l'an dernier s'est transfomé en séjour de 7 nuits à 4 personnes. Une mention toute spéciale pour la famille de gérants qui officie depuis de nombreuses années et qui tient bon la barre. Un grand MERCI

19/08/2024: Très bon repas, assiette découverte bien fournit et avec tout les goûts du Mexique. Patronne qui nous a très bien conseillé même si assez sèche au premier abord. Dessert excellent que ce soit à la carte ou dans les repas de l’hôtel.

11/08/2024: Belle expérience. Ce n'est certainement pas du gastronomique mais cela permet de faire connaissance avec la cuisine mexicaine. Et je dois dire qu'elle contient plein de parfums agréables. Vraiment à découvrir.

04/08/2024: This place is simply splendid. We celebrated our wedding there last weekend with around sixty guests and I think we couldn't have found better. The setting is absolutely beautiful with a magnificent view of the Haute Loire, the cottages are comfortable and well decorated, the owners adorable and responsive in case of problems. We have wonderful memories of it and highly recommend the estate to celebrate happy events.

22/07/2024: Beautiful place we were invited to a wedding. The parking lot was very large and the place was really great. We could also sleep there.
