07/03/2026: The hotel is very well located on the slopes. The restaurant is very good and the spa is excellent. We booked the family suite, which cost us a fortune (€2400 for 3 nights), and frankly, at that price, we expected a slightly higher-end service: no amenities, the sitting area was reduced to two small armchairs, one of the sinks didn't work, the coffee machine and cups weren't changed daily, the terrace overlooked the parking lot, and the staff was not very available… so, a bit disappointed!

25/02/2026: I very rarely give 5 stars but this hotel was so perfect for our holiday, I couldn't fault anything and therefore its very deserving. The location is ideal with a boot room that opens out directly onto a slope which takes you down to the main cable cars. It was about a 10-15 minute walk downhill, with a slow toddler,(quicker if skiing down), but it made the main town area more accessible than if we walked down the various roads at the front of the hotel. The views from the hotel were lovely, we were fortunate to be able to see some of the slopes from our bathroom window which was a nice touch. The hotel itself was very family friendly and is run by an actual family who together with their staff members were so friendly, helpful and professional throughout our stay. We went with a 1 year old toddler who enjoyed running around the hotel and everyone was very patient and lovely about it, when he became a bit too unsettled during diner times in the main room, arrangements were made for us to eat separately in the "lounge room" which helped him feel more relaxed and allowed us as parents to enjoy our meal. Speaking of which, the food was varied, satisfying and incredibly tasty, we opted for half board and dinner was a set menu one night with a special option the following night and so on. On the specials nights we managed to try raclette, fondue and an amazing duck. Breakfast was also of a very high quality with a good variety of items, I still think about the french toast which was a joy to have each morning. I appreciated the breakfast not feeling like a mass market buffet and it felt as if the dishes were prepared thoughtfully. The spa area and pool were a great bonus and our room layout itself was functional and cosy. The alpine charm was felt throughout the hotel. If considering a stay I would highly recommend this gem.

27/02/2026: We received a very warm welcome and had a wonderful family meal. The service was quick and very pleasant ;-) the children's menu was well-proportioned and the view was magnificent!

27/02/2026: Magnificent viewpoint, away from the hustle and bustle of the village. Very good, well-presented food, warm welcome. We will gladly return.

12/03/2026: My experience at the Chamois d’Or hotel in Cordon, France, was simply wonderful. It’s a beautiful and welcoming place, full of little touches that make you feel at home from the very first moment. Every space in the hotel exudes warmth and care. The food is delicious, and you can taste the dedication in every dish. During our stay, we were in the suite, which has a large balcony with a spectacular view of the Alps. Waking up to that view every morning was truly unforgettable. The hotel owner, Caroline, was incredibly kind and attentive. They made me feel welcome, as if I were in my own home. It was my first time in this region and also my first time skiing, and the entire hotel team made the experience very enjoyable, easy, and special. They are always attentive to even the smallest detail. One of the most magical moments of my stay happened when Caroline, knowing it was my first time in the region, called my room one evening to let me know that from my balcony I could see the moon rising behind the Alps. I went out onto the balcony, and it was a truly magical moment thanks to her. Overall, my experience exceeded all my expectations. It was definitely a very special stay, and I can't wait to return next ski season and stay with them again.

13/03/2026: Amazing scenery, food was between 2 - 3 stars. Self-service. Toilets are a bit basic, and are down a small slope under the restaurant, sink had very cold water and no hand drying facilities.

09/03/2026: Good restaurant, plenty of choice and friendly service. The fries really aren't great, which is a shame because the burger is good. We were served a steak tartare that wasn't good, but they changed it for something else without any problem. Large sunny terrace! Lack of music
