01/08/2026: A dream location with an incredible view. We had a wonderful evening, warmly welcomed by Gary, David, and Géraldine in the kitchen, who delighted us from start to finish! A big thumbs up for her goat cheese and honey toasts and her divine red berry tiramisu. I highly recommend it.

16/08/2026: A lovely time at Le Saint Nicolas: the Sharing Menu (see photo) featured perfect Arctic char and turbot, meltingly tender lamb shoulder with accompanying polenta squares (see photo), and a Vin Jaune sauce. A success. The cheeses were of high quality. Dessert was a bit disappointing (the meringue was rather bland), although the fruit coulis was a welcome touch at the end of the meal. A chocolate petit four would have been a nice way to finish. The portions were well-proportioned. The service was impeccable. The open kitchen allowed us to watch the chef at work. A pleasant touch. We will return.

14/08/2026: What a delightful surprise! We chose the "Sharing" menu for our table. The cuisine was refined, aromatic, and generous. From the black garlic butter (so tempting you had to resist eating it all!) to the blueberry floating island (a marvel of lightness), and the succulent turbot, among other dishes, we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The service was friendly and efficient, the presentation was beautiful—everything was perfect!

13/07/2026: At Le Téléphérique Café in Megève the food was excellent, with every dish was good and made with quality ingredients. Everything we tried was delicious and beautifully presented. The highlight is definitely the superb terrace, especially in the summer, it’s the perfect spot to relax, enjoy the sunshine, and take in the lovely surroundings. Highly recommend

24/04/2026: We discovered La Table de l'Alpaga during our stay in Megève, and everything was perfect. Delicate and flavorful dishes, a magnificent setting, and attentive service. We had a truly magical time.

22/02/2026: Undoubtedly an excellent restaurant, but I was still a little disappointed by the choice of dishes. A revisited onion soup, endives, beef, and vegetables in the style of a pot-au-feu—certainly extremely well-revisited and elegantly presented—but the ingredients were still simple. The staff was very attentive. We were celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary, which I had mentioned when making the reservation, and the chocolate plaque that accompanied our dessert was engraved with "Happy Wedding Anniversary"... what a shame...

24/03/2026: The hotel’s location is very good, we could go everywhere in the village on foot. The service is very good. A special mention to Lea, who was very helpful and kind from the very beginning. The breakfast was good.

01/09/2026: A mixed experience despite several very good points. The restaurant boasts a superb location, a pleasant welcome, and a warm atmosphere. As for the food, we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves: the homemade terrine was perfect, while the truffle-infused Reblochon cheese crust was generous and flavorful. The monkfish was also very well prepared. All of this was accompanied by an excellent Chablis, chosen from a particularly appealing wine list. However, several things seriously marred the experience. We were served a bottle of Acqua Panna which, in reality, contained tap water. We only discovered this after the couple seated next to us pointed it out to the manager. He then explained that the waiter hadn't been informed of the stock shortage, a rather surprising justification for an establishment supposedly in control of its inventory and what is served to its customers. After also pointing this out, we ordered a San Pellegrino instead. The couple at the next table received complimentary glasses of wine and desserts as compensation, while we received no such gesture, even though we had experienced the exact same problem. This difference in treatment is difficult to understand. Finally, the dessert was very disappointing: the cream puffs were burnt and practically tasteless. The frozen steak served to our daughter was also of poor quality; a proper butcher-style ground beef patty would have been much more appropriate and consistent with the restaurant's expected standard. In short: a beautiful setting, a pleasant atmosphere, an attractive wine list, and truly excellent main courses, but a serious lack of attention to detail in the service and a disappointing end to the meal. A mixed experience, which could easily have been excellent with greater professionalism and consistency.

18/08/2026: Extremely expensive for what it is. €36 for a half-and-half fondue, €53 for the basic Savoie wine. This restaurant is nothing more than a cash cow for the manager, who doesn't lift a finger during service except to collect bills worthy of fine dining establishments. An unpretentious restaurant with a nice terrace, but vastly overpriced. A shame.

28/01/2026: Bad reviews are just not true. I met the manager during my visit and had a diner at the restaurant. Both the manager and staff are incredibly polite, attendant and friendly. Yes of course you pay the Megeve prices, you are in Megeve but that's to be expected. The food was incredible and the entire experience was beyond expectations. Thank you. Ignore the bad reviews, these people are just snobs who want to ruin good businesses. I am leaving a one star review because I know you clicked on lowest like me and will see this review this way. But it's actually 5 stars. Now I believe in you to give those 5 stars after your experience. Thomas, thank you for being our waiter last night, you're a wonderful kid with a bright future, enjoy that bottle buddy.

25/03/2026: A quaint 5-star hotel just above Megeve. The welcoming property perfectly reflects a mountain home. The staff are the hotel's true asset, whose kindness and attentiveness make for a truly exceptional stay.

24/05/2026: We stayed at this hotel the weekend of May 23rd. From the moment we arrived, we felt an atmosphere of quality, both in the beauty of the place and in the warm welcome and attentive service from the staff. The staff escorted us to our room, which was simply stunning. We chatted with them over drinks at MEIGE, the hotel's cocktail bar, where the passionate and kind bartender introduced us to the range of products. The spa is also cozy and inviting. If you appreciate elegant establishments with friendly and welcoming staff, this hotel is a must. We highly recommend it.

07/04/2026: The rooms lack privacy like the window is opened to a street into the downtown and you have no shutters or blackouts. This is fine if the room had air conditioning however, you have to ask for a mobile air conditioner brought into the room or you have to sleep with an open window that lets flies and people eyesight while you’re asleep. Second thing is the place does not offer a parking spot for you car. In fact they offer you a card for parking in a casino nearby and it will cost €30 per night. For Muslim people, the toilet seat does not have water floss. One last thing is the breakfast. It does not have a variety of food however the place is tidy, and the staff is very welcoming and friendly.

18/08/2026: First time here. Great location. Great weather. The hotel is wow and very stylish. The food is so so not very good. Nothing special. The service is also not the best . I will come back for coffee and desserts but not for a meal. I was expecting better experience than this. Have a great meal. DrSD26.

06/08/2026: A very nice restaurant with a warm and friendly atmosphere. The meat was of excellent quality, as were the side dishes, which were delicious. The service was very professional, attentive, and pleasant from beginning to end. An excellent restaurant in Megève that I highly recommend!

23/07/2026: This place is so so good but it’s very pricey. Ended up paying USD 45 for 12 pieces. They had ample flavors to opt for and thus went with the 12 piece box and ended up with 6 flavors. Everything tasted great and service was also good.

02/03/2026: The setting is nice, and that's about it. The food was bland, on par with a mid-range wedding caterer. The dishes were clearly pre-prepared. Nothing had any flavor. €200 for two people is outrageous. I would reduce the number of servers, who didn't add anything (we were served by five different people), to focus more on the food. PS: No baby changing table in a 5-star hotel…

24/02/2026: Overwhelming and rushed service. Arrived at 7:30 PM, left at 8:30 PM. Beautiful setting, but not worth the repulsion, and very expensive…

27/08/2026: Unfortunately, our experience at this restaurant was very disappointing. The service was particularly slow, and we waited a long time before being served. We had asked for a carafe of water, which never arrived. When it came time for coffee, I asked for water again: I was finally brought a glass, but nothing for my wife. The portions are very small compared to the prices charged. I had chosen a pan-fried porcini mushroom dish, but unfortunately, the mushrooms were swimming in oil, which was far from what I expected from a dish at this price. What disappointed us most was the difference in treatment between customers. Acquaintances of the restaurant owner, who came to the restaurant at the same time as us, quickly received their aperitifs, a sharing platter, then their main courses and desserts, while we were still waiting. No one asked us if we had enjoyed our meals, or even if we wanted dessert. We truly felt we weren't receiving the same level of attention as some regular or known customers. This is regrettable and, in our opinion, hardly acceptable for a restaurant charging such prices. All customers should be welcomed and served with the same care, whether they are Megève regulars or just passing through. We came hoping to have a good time and unfortunately left very disappointed.
