A huge congratulations to Chef Jawad, who offers delicious, generous, and flavorful dishes—you can truly taste the passion in every plate! And what can I say about the service… Lina is simply lovely, smiling, attentive, and caring from beginning to end. She greatly contributes to making the experience even more enjoyable. Between the quality of the food and the impeccable service, this is a place I wholeheartedly recommend. I can't wait to go back! 😍🍽️

28/03/2026: Best restaurant in Avoriaz, without a doubt! The quality is excellent, every dish is truly superb. Special mention for the tartiflette and truffle pasta, which are simply incredible 🤩 Remember to book by phone, as this place is very popular. Honestly, everything is delicious, a real gem! Not to mention the team, who are absolute gems (Jawad, Lina, Rachel)!

28/02/2026: All the food that was eaten here was really nice. Outside these is a nice terrace that gets some nice sun until it falls behind the mountain. Friendly staff and like I said nice meals. There is a dog that walk around the terrace during the day and was inside (not during dinner time)

03/04/2026: Absolutely no sense of customer service. A group of two was refused entry under the pretext that the restaurant was "full," even though a group of six had just left. Go to Les Halles instead.

12/04/2026: Overall, we were very satisfied with our visit to Restaurant La Chaudanne in Morzine. The location is fantastic, especially if you're coming straight from the slopes – perfect for a relaxing break. The food was high quality, freshly prepared, and delicious. The regional specialties are particularly recommended. The portions were also generous. The service was friendly and attentive, although at times a little stressed due to the high volume of customers – which is understandable given the location. A bit more attention and speed would have been the icing on the cake. The ambiance is cozy and suits the alpine setting, but could be a bit more modern in some areas. All in all, a very solid restaurant with good food and a great location – we'll definitely be back!

09/04/2026: The best fondue we've ever had, by far, with excellent service. However, the vegetarian/vegan tart, which looked very promising, wasn't well made; the vegetarian in our group was very disappointed. The dish could easily have been better executed. The rest of us were very satisfied with our meals.

15/05/2026: This review isn't about the food, which is excellent, but about everything else—and unfortunately, it ruins the whole experience. Upon arrival, we were told to leave at a specific time, even though several tables were available. This is quite surprising. During the meal, the pressure was constant: the servers stared at our plates, monitored our progress, and even communicated our progress through their earpieces. On several occasions, this became downright uncomfortable. The most unpleasant aspect was the reaction to our request for a doggy bag. The dish was very good, and I simply wanted to finish it at home. Although the request was granted, we were subjected to inappropriate remarks and a persistent, sarcastic attempt to discourage me from ordering dessert. I did order dessert—and I finished it, much to the disgruntled waiter's surprise :) Another point: some tables, with customers who were clearly wealthier than us, received very different treatment… My review is really about one waiter, whom I absolutely do not recommend and who ruined our service. The location is pleasant, as they're lucky enough to have a beautiful view, but the food is excellent, some of the best I've ever had. However, given the prices and the service, you'll get exactly the same experience at any competing restaurant. We now understand the bad reviews about this establishment.

07/04/2026: A truly wonderful evening. The welcome was warm and professional. The service was also very attentive and pleasant. The leg of lamb and the truffle fondue were delicious. We look forward to returning.

31/03/2026: The restaurant is very good, the food is excellent, it's true, but the manager is absolutely terrible (and it's not the first time he's disappointed us). With a bill of over €500 for four people, we were practically thrown out because the manager needed our table for a second seating (which he hadn't announced). Thanks to the waitresses/waitresses for their kindness; you must have experienced the same thing we did that evening, to the point of being told we hadn't received our jackets quickly enough. I left feeling disgusted; it's a shame.

24/05/2026: The best fries I’ve ever had, the servers were lovely and the atmosphere was great

18/05/2026: A fantastic place! We received an extremely warm welcome, both adults and children (which isn't always the case!). High chairs, changing tables, books, and coloring books are available. The staff is very friendly and incredibly efficient; despite several large tables, the service was quick. The food was delicious, from the diots (sausages) and veal chops to the burgers and the gorgonzola fondue—everything was excellent and generous. A place to remember!

22/03/2026: It absolutely astounds me to see the awful videos and photos of these poor cows imprisoned in stalls and allowed no movement whatsoever, yet people ❤️ & like them! Perhaps the ❤️’s & Likers should spend the winter season with that nasty metal frame around their neck while chained to guarantee no movement. And yes I know this is due to snow outside & the cows can’t graze. No need to keep them locked up like that though, how about a barn they could at least move around in???? Response to reply below. I was giving 1 star to the way the cows are tethered up in those metal neck harnesses. I’ve now upped it to 3 in response to your comment. I know a fair bit about how farming works, grew up in Cornwall and had a lot to do with farms, mostly dairy. As for giving 1 star I give what I feel, you can see my reviews and I’ve never seen a business promoting itself with photos & videos of cows locked up like this, so I haven’t given any other mountain farms 1 star, yet. Where I grew up the cows were not locked up like this! I know this is common practice in these environments but it doesn’t have to be. You point out they are outside May-October so that’s 6 months chained up like the photo & video then, unless I am missing something. As for the excuse why they can’t move around, you’ve answered it yourself, “cost of the buildings” so the cows endure 6 months locked up like this so the costs are kept down, exactly my point. But as I wrote, I have upped the stars. I hope you can take on board that these cows are living creatures, have done no wrong but the system feels it is perfectly acceptable to imprison them like this……. To save money🤐

28/04/2026: A wonderful discovery. Warm and welcoming service. Friendly and efficient service. The dishes, made with fresh ingredients, were of excellent quality. We thoroughly enjoyed our experience.

10/04/2026: The service has been shocking this season, they really need more staff. We asked for wine 5 times and when it came it was without glasses and we had almost finished our main course. The rump steak was so chewy it had to be sent back. The next one was excellent but everyone else had finished eating! The chips that should have been with our ribs came half way through the course. This has been our favourite restaurant for 18 years. Sadly not this year!
