05/04/2024: I went with my daughter to "La Table Ronde" rue Colbert in Tours, the dishes are well prepared regional and French, the desserts at the top, spend a pleasant evening. I highly recommend.

05/04/2024: We were looking for a authentic French restaurant and we were so happy to find this one! Great service, very friendly and helpful. We tried several dishes with wine recommended by the host and all was great! The cheese degustation is a separate experience - if you order a cheese plate for dessert, you get to choose 4 kinds of cheese from a beautiful wooden table. You get a presentation about the cheeses and help to reject the 4 according to your taste preferences. Home made ham on top of it was delicious as well. The interior is very cozy and authentic, even the knight is adding to the atmosphere:) We also loved the music. Highly recommend this restaurant!

01/04/2024: Very good experience for my sister's birthday. We were a table of 7 people. The cuisine was delicious, seasonal, good cooking. Whether it was the kidneys, the asparagus, the sea bream or even the desserts, everything was successful. The service was excellent, the team was cheerful and welcoming. THANKS !

22/03/2024: We came on a Friday lunchtime because they offer fish options that day. The setting is very nice! It was very busy so we waited a long time before our order was taken. However, the service was quick after that. This is unpretentious bistro cuisine, 100% homemade and mainly of French or EU origin. It was really good, with interesting combinations and seasoning! The quantity differs a little from one plate to another depending on whether you are served at the beginning or end of the service, but we left satisfied. To test !

30/03/2024: Worth a dedicated trip to Amboise Our AirBnB host recommended this place even it was not on the list of restaurant choices we researched. The surprise started with a leek soup and we wiped clean all dishes! We ordered a three course Menu Saveurs (“Flavors Menu” or perhaps special menu) for 42 euros, paired with a 2022 chenin Pierre (sauvignon blanc?) from a local vineyard Touraine Amboise (33 euro). The starter was a smoked trout tartar, main course is stuffed chicken (Medallion of poultry), and 4 cheese plate. Vegetables were very fresh, cooking was perfect, and excellent presentations. The wine topped it out - I gather we would spent 4 times in the US for the same quality. Our server was just great. The setting is on the formal side with spacious layout compared with other restaurants we visited in Loire Valley, and the location is not in the touristy drab (Pl. Michel Debré), and thus is a welcome change to typical busy venues with tourist hordes.

22/03/2024: It’s always a pleasure for us to come and dine at La Boulaye. The cuisine is fine and excellent, there is research into the flavors of each dish, surprising pairings, beautiful plates. The team is welcoming and smiling. The room is tastefully decorated. Everything is there to have a good time. Well done to the team.
