30/08/2026: 🔥 Beware of #bistrotrégent in Tours city center! A waitress assaulted an elderly woman after serving her poorly. She ordered an aperitif after her main course (???), which the customer simply pointed out without refusing her food (which is what I would have done). Then, this waitress went around to the other tables, turning the tables on other customers and escalating the situation, creating a tense atmosphere for everyone. She publicly humiliated the woman when she tried to return her aperitif, which was mostly water because it had been incorrectly measured and served in an unsuitable glass, like mine. Finally, she huffed, puffed, and yelled, saying "fucking hell," and said, "You're going to pay now..." In short, I, a customer, witnessed this violence on August 26th. The woman, around 70 years old, was trembling so badly she couldn't even enter her PIN! 🔥 #shame #violence #violenceagainstwomen
30/07/2026: Located in the Ibis Tours Centre Gare hotel. Indoor and outdoor seating. Best chips, salad & sauce. The salmon and duck are delicious. Bistro Regent always delivers. Highly recommended.

17/08/2026: We had a wonderful meal, everything was delicious! The setting is really lovely and pleasant, with very reasonable prices. The people who run this place are delightful, welcoming, and warm. A great find, we'll definitely be back!
16/08/2026: The place was empty; there were about six people sitting there. We weren't allowed to sit down and were told they were full. We had the impression it was because of our German accent. A real shame.

06/08/2026: Very calm and intimate, not at all the same atmosphere as on the other side of the Loire. Excellent artisanal and well-prepared food. Good selection of beers. Reasonable prices. Breathtaking views of the Wilson Bridge, Saint Gatien Cathedral, and the Library. A great spot to admire the sunsets over the Loire.
30/07/2026: A fantastic place to relax and cool off in an idyllic setting during the heatwave! I'm never disappointed by the bissap and the little Musette! 😉 The food is always excellent, served by a great team who are always full of energy! I highly recommend it!

23/05/2026: A very bad experience.
We arrived around 9:20 a.m., just after opening, and weren't served until 10:40 a.m., even though the restaurant was practically empty. And all that for three half-baguettes with scrambled eggs.
We had ordered three brunch bread/scrambled egg dishes, but the eggs released a lot of water, which was really unpleasant.
An elderly English couple sitting next to us didn't understand the menu or the service, and the staff made no effort to help them or translate. I had to explain it myself.
We had also ordered two iced teas, but we received two grenadine syrups. Then, when we heard the kitchen opening, we realized the waitress didn't even know what iced tea was and just served a random drink.
I absolutely do not recommend this establishment.

25/08/2026: I came to have a drink with friends, and imagine my surprise when it came time to pay for my lemonade! Having ordered a 50cl glass, I was paying twice for the lemonade listed on the menu: €7.30 for a glass of lemonade and syrup is a bit pricey, and it would have been more customer-friendly to mention this when ordering.
06/08/2026: The perfect spot in the center of Tours. Generous and well-prepared dishes and salads, and homemade desserts worthy of a pastry chef. The express lunchtime deal (dish of the day + dessert of the day for €17.90) is unbeatable; I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed it. And the service was impeccable! Highly recommended!

19/08/2026: I came for lunch, walked for 40 minutes because Google said the restaurant was open, and arrived to find the doors closed. This isn't a place for people who value their time and are willing to pay for proper service. The restaurant doesn't respect its customers. As a result, I had to take a long-distance train on an empty stomach. I don't recommend it.
