04/09/2024: We booked brunch and tea tasting through the site "the forks", a site which is offered from the tea room's Google page.
Reservation confirmation received one month before the scheduled date.
We receive an email notification that the schedule is no longer available less than a week before the reservation day and that the restaurant has changed the reservation. Although we have been planning this for a month.
No, this is not an error according to the Google assistance service.... And it is indeed the restaurant which changed the schedule. Afterwards, if it is a problem with the forks website, I do not believe that it is the client's problem to manage the intermediaries.

23/09/2024: We loved our dinner at Le Chien Jaune! The barrata di bufala was especially delicious! The maquereau had a fabulous sauce, and, of course, profiterole is always my favorite. The whole atmosphere was friendly and inviting.

What a pretty place. Bistro atmosphere, a friendly and responsive team, and excellent meat. The perfect place for a relaxed evening and FRENCH cuisine.
Try, and end up with a walk along the Loire 5 minutes away. What else??!!

Deviled eggs are killer!
Warm atmosphere, eclectic decoration but worth a look and above all, we love the familiarity of the staff who get you started!

27/12/2023: Very nice experience in this establishment located in the quiet of a small pedestrian street in Old Tours. Good products and a warm welcome from the boss who does not hesitate to share his knowledge. The trilogies of wines offered are perfect. Little more access to a pretty cellar where you can choose your bottle! The menu is affordable in terms of price, we had a good time. Thanks again .

18/09/2024: Not a fan of fish and even less of seafood, I was there to please my wife who loves it. Of course the restaurant offers some meat but I let myself be tempted by fish anyway. The service is excellent and I ate perfectly well, as did my wife and my son too. Very good restaurant I recommend.

21/06/2024: How sad this afternoon to learn of the closure of this establishment. Very good cuisine, management and a truly warm and caring team. None of my many visits have disappointed me. It was a real pleasure to have worked with you during this past year. I wish you all the best for the future. Beautiful road, and with the great pleasure of seeing each other again, here or elsewhere.

03/09/2024: We came as a couple for one night and were well received. Several small drawbacks however.
I requested in the optional romantic pack to add a soft drink as my partner was pregnant. Instead it was the bottle of Vouvray which was replaced by fruit juice which we found a bit of a shame
Secondly, a large group booked the hotel at the same time as us, so no more places in the restaurant and more parking spaces. We would have appreciated being warned in advance
These are small downsides and we would however like to thank all the people with whom we interacted for their helpfulness and welcome.
01/09/2024: Pleasant setting and beautiful building in the middle of a beautiful garden, however I found the rooms, certainly with sufficient equipment and clean, but which could do with a good bit of refreshing. For breakfast nothing to say, as for the staff, all professionals.
The downside remains the relaxation area, not easy to access and above all shared with a senior residence.

24/08/2024: The galette was delicious and we had a small side salad. Order a cider and you won't be disappointed. Beware a bottled water here cost £8.80! Almost the cost of a bottle of cider £10.10. We didn't book ahead of time and we were seated right away.
14/08/2024: We arrived at 12:10 p.m. We were settled. Then we waited. No one to warn us of a possible wait. No one to offer us a glass of water. And of course no one to take our order. At 12:40 p.m., some people who had ordered before we arrived received their pancakes. We still hadn't ordered. And we had no desire to continue waiting to end up eating in fourth gear and not having dessert. We'll never know if these patties were worth it, we ended up eating a bao burger across the street and were served there within 5 minutes.
