Everything has gone up in price and down in quantity… For example, the frog legs as a starter used to be around €15 for a good portion; now there are two choices, one for the starter and one for the main course. The starter is roughly the same price with half the number of frog legs. And the main course has gone up to over €20… and is often overcooked… What a shame
07/03/2026: Unfortunately, since the reopening, the restaurant has deteriorated significantly...
Prices have gone up!
The meat isn't even seasoned.
The waiters are already setting tables for the next day while there are still customers in the restaurant. We wondered if they were going to kick us out...
When we told the manager that the food wasn't good, she offered no apology and didn't even mention a price, even though we left our food untouched... The waitress even got angry at us when we said things weren't good!
In short, AVOID AT ALL COSTS.
We really miss the previous owners, who were much nicer.

04/05/2026: I've been going to Le Diplomate from time to time for years, either for afternoon tea or lunch. My last few lunch visits were particularly memorable because it had been a very long time since a dish had so delighted my taste buds; it was truly excellent, and I have wonderful memories of it. My compliments to the chef. The service itself is always excellent as well. The only criticism I could make (which isn't really one) is that I wish they would open for dinner.

The menu is small but hints at quality cuisine. And it certainly was, with an excellent dessert.
The waitress suggested a children's menu, more suitable for our daughter, and was very friendly throughout.

13/04/2026: Nice hotel close to the center. Beds very comfortable, bathroom a little bit small but ok. Restaurant offers very good food. All and all we felt very welcome and spent a nice weekend
07/04/2026: A standard hotel with no particular charm, where the rooms are starting to show their age, especially the bathrooms and amenities. The breakfast buffet is adequate. The hotel's main appeal lies in its Michelin-starred restaurant, which offers a completely inflexible menu (set menu or nothing). The dining room boasts an original coffered wooden ceiling and contemporary murals, but the lighting and furnishings are mismatched.
In short, a complete renovation would significantly improve the overall experience.

12/04/2026: A restaurant where the decor and ambiance come at a price.
The food was good, very tasty. But for the price we paid, we expected lighter, more sophisticated cuisine. Perhaps smaller portions, but more refined and subtle?
For example: the scallop sauce was far too salty, and the lemon tart biscuit was too sweet and too thick.
It would have been appreciated if the amuse-bouches had been mentioned when we ordered, given that one of them was identical to one of the appetizers.
We found the final bill a bit disproportionate. There are plenty of restaurants with a smaller menu that offer higher quality and are less expensive!

06/12/2024: Lors de la prise de commande, on ne nous a pas demandé si nous souhaitions boire quelque chose. Nous avons ensuite attendu 45 minutes pour être servis alors que le restaurant était vide.
09/11/2024: Très déçue ! Cela faisait longtemps que l'on était pas venue et nous sommes par près de revenir! Les serveurs non souriants et avec pas d'expérience ,service qui laisse à désirer, pour les desserts les cuillères ont été jetées au milieu de la table, redonne la carte des desserts alors qu'une personne a la table n'a pas finis, je demande le cocktail du jour (inscrit à l'entrée du resto) le serveur n'est même pas au courant,...
En ce qui concerne la nourriture, un burger servis limite froid avec 5frites, un tartare de thon où je cherche encore le thon, la grenade, le granola et l avocat !!!!! Que les moules qui étaient corrects et encore on attend encore les rinces doigt..., bref à eviter sauf si vous voulez passer un mauvais moment !!!
