22/04/2026: This is the first and last time I'll ever go to this restaurant; the meat was undercooked and the vegetables were tasteless. A real disappointment, especially considering how highly I'd heard about the chef's talent.

13/04/2026: After completing the 10km and 5km races in Valenciennes, we had booked for 16 people, but arrived with 22! In just 2 minutes, the President's team was incredibly responsive, smiling, and kind, expanding our group. We all appreciated your dynamism, your speed, the waitresses' smiles, and of course, our delicious meals. Don't change a thing, have a great season, and see you next year!

28/03/2026: We stayed one night at the inn and it was like stepping back in time. The place is truly unique and very old, but that doesn't detract from the comfort of the rooms (perfect bedding). The location is ideal for getting around on foot, and there's a paid parking lot (€11 per day) right across from the hotel, which is very convenient. We didn't eat there, but it looked delicious, and the restaurant's setting was also very unusual.

28/11/2025: A real treat! We were a party of four and enjoyed the carbonnade, Welsh rarebit, and ribeye steak. Bravo to the chef Guillaume and the warm welcome from the owner. We'll be back!

28/11/2025: Hello This is the second time we've eaten here, and it was a real treat. There were four of us, and we enjoyed a ribeye steak, a Welsh rarebit, and two Flemish carbonnade dishes. Thank you to the chef, Guillaume, who takes the time to chat with the customers, and to Julien for the excellent welcome. We will gladly return. I highly recommend it.

15/02/2026: The welcome was mixed. The waiter wasn't welcoming, didn't smile, and didn't even bother to announce that we should follow him to our table. I'm making a point of mentioning this because this restaurant aims for a sophisticated and "chic" atmosphere, but the initial impression contradicts that. As for the Valentine's Day menu, it was rather bland overall... the starter was duck foie gras served in a far too large slice with three small pieces of toast cut into triangles. It was disproportionate. I had to eat the foie gras with a fork... Regarding the main course (cod), the orange sauce added nothing, the vegetables were overly salty, and there was nothing to enhance the dish or complement the otherwise decent presentation. And for the dessert (pavlova), the fruit was good but not particularly exotic, and the pastry cream was heavy and too sweet for the amount of meringue on the plate. The chef could have added more fruit to compensate for the lack of whipped cream, which would have made the dessert much lighter and, above all, less sweet. It's a real shame because, for a menu priced at €57 per person, not including drinks and other extras, the price is exorbitant for the final quality of the experience. I'm including everything: the service, the welcome, the food, the atmosphere, and the price. It's very disappointing, and unfortunately for you, I won't be going back. It's not worth traveling dozens of kilometers.

21/01/2026: A very pleasant place, both in summer with its terrace and in winter with its two-level dining room (a balcony and a ground floor). Its layout is somewhat unusual, offering a cozy atmosphere in the evening and a bright ambiance during the day. The table service is friendly and the staff is professional. They offer brasserie-style dishes to suit all tastes and budgets. I highly recommend this bar and restaurant.

03/01/2026: Excellent homemade steak tartare; my husband had the filet mignon... also very good. The main course was reasonably priced. The dessert was very good but a bit pricey... the gourmet coffee was €10... even in Paris, that's not so expensive. The atmosphere was very calm and relaxing, and the servers were very pleasant and smiling.

26/02/2025: your explanations for your closure are more than risky you know very well that the covid crisis plus the economic crisis plus the transformation of the Place d'Arme into a pedestrian zone which caused the surrounding businesses to lose 40% of their customers plus the closure of the Passage des Flanders on December 3 completed the disaster in just 3 months 10 license 4 establishments (bars bistros restaurants) closed for bankruptcy! in Valenciennes you are the 10th and everyone noted this so as not to incriminate the municipal team when it is the turn of the SET I wonder how you will react! note: responding to a dissatisfied customer the day before the permanent closure of the establishment that you are going to improve the table service is at the highest level!

03/04/2026: Superb hotel, ideally located in the city center with private parking. The decor complements the building's original style. The staff is very attentive to guests.

28/03/2026: Improvements have been made to the reception since 2024; we had a wonderful time at the spa, thank you to Jade and Ninon for the massage. A minor drawback was the locker system, which needs improvement (no keys and broken codes), and the lack of information that the hammam entrance is before the changing rooms; many people missed it, as I think we did.

11/03/2026: We've always enjoyed Speed ​​Burger, but today the whole family noticed a drop in quality. The fries were soggy when they're usually crispy, which was very disappointing. It used to be the only place we'd ever had crispy fries. The buns were also soggy. And there was a mistake with the "cold" bag; we received drinks and dessert from a different order... But usually it's great. I hope this is just temporary and it will be good again soon.

03/12/2025: Great find! Excellent burgers, and impeccable delivery; the fries and burgers were piping hot. We thoroughly enjoyed them.

18/04/2026: We came for a drink on April 17th. We were shown inside to be seated. We waited almost 10 minutes. No one said hello, no one seated us. So we went across the street to have a drink. I think you should fire your employees because if they do this to a lot of people, you're going to lose customers.

09/04/2026: Extremely slow table service, and apparently no way to order directly at the bar when seated on the terrace. No atmosphere and a truly unwelcoming hospitality. This is not a bar for sharing drinks with a group of friends…
