10/12/2025: Our third visit to this beautiful authentic restaurant hosted by a wonderful family. Many thanks to the owner for making us feeling more than welcome. The food was amazing. Especially the tournedos was the best I have ever experienced. We will definitely come back for another anniversary. Calais is lucky to have a restaurant with top notch quality. Ps: the Chateau du Pape 2016 was absolument fantastique!

07/01/2026: We went to Chanel this evening for the first time, and it was the most wonderful culinary discovery of our lives. The service was exceptional, with pleasant and attentive waiters, and the dishes were of remarkable quality, from the amuse-bouche to the dessert... All this in a marvelous setting, tastefully decorated. And for a more than reasonable price! We thank the waiters and chefs again for this unforgettable evening! See you soon! 30/06/2025: Very pleasant restaurant with excellent cuisine and fresh, homemade produce. Always a pleasure. Very pleasant staff. I highly recommend it. You can go there with your eyes closed. I've been going there for several years, and it's a sure bet when you want to eat or invite friends over at a very reasonable price.

14/09/2024: Les galettes sont très bonnes. Il y a pas mal de choix, mais pas beaucoup de galettes végétariennes (mais on trouve quand même notre bonheur). Les crêpes sont très bonnes également, avec des assortiments très sympas. Le lieu est mignon. Je recommande donc cette crêperie sur la Place d'armes !

03/09/2024: The Calais creperie. I recommend with your eyes closed. Lots of choice of pancakes and quality products. Little extra for the really nice Breton cola.

20/01/2026: Coming from Montpellier for a business trip, I discovered this little restaurant with its retro feel, and what a marvel the steak tartare (sorry, Le Filet Américan!) was! A real treat, and above all, incredibly generous (like the people of the North I'm getting to know). Thank you for this beautiful dish and the slightly retro decor... Christian

16/11/2025: Haven't rated the food as we didn't eat here. The restaurant was busy and when we walked in not one staff member attended to us, we had to literally stop a member of staff to ask for a table for 2. They just shrugged and pointed to a table of 6 nearby. We then had to get more attention to get menus. Then again to order to be told there was no steak left in a rude way. So we just left. There was a noisy atmosphere and a bit pub like at the bar area which didn't make it feel like a restaurant. It is a big place with 2 floors, but they need to have enough staff to cope with the size they can cater for and train their staff better. Whilst we were waiting I noticed others also struggling to get attention and quite a lot of food left on plates, which is bever a good sign.
