10/12/2025: Our third visit to this beautiful authentic restaurant hosted by a wonderful family. Many thanks to the owner for making us feeling more than welcome. The food was amazing. Especially the tournedos was the best I have ever experienced. We will definitely come back for another anniversary. Calais is lucky to have a restaurant with top notch quality.
Ps: the Chateau du Pape 2016 was absolument fantastique!

14/03/2026: Great 1st floor table with harbour views and food to die for, crispy crab, oysters, a small fresh crustaceans dish with half a lobster,and a scallop dish that exceeded expectations.
When ever we’re in Calais this is our restaurant of choice.

07/01/2026: We went to Chanel this evening for the first time, and it was the most wonderful culinary discovery of our lives. The service was exceptional, with pleasant and attentive waiters, and the dishes were of remarkable quality, from the amuse-bouche to the dessert... All this in a marvelous setting, tastefully decorated.
And for a more than reasonable price!
We thank the waiters and chefs again for this unforgettable evening!

11/03/2026: The casino is nice, but it's a shame the security guards are too touchy-feely with the female customers… bordering on disrespectful (personal and inappropriate conversations).

Imagine it's a pregnant woman who needs to go and she doesn't have her ID for whatever reason—you're not going to let her in!

12/03/2026: A very good restaurant with bistro aspirations, the decor is tasteful. The food is excellent from appetizer to dessert, as is the presentation. The service is impeccable, discreet, and quick. On the window, you'll see numerous badges: Gault & Millau, Michelin, Petit Futé, and my personal favorite, the Guide du Routard!

14/03/2026: Truly high-quality (gastronomic) cuisine at an affordable price. You can go there without hesitation. I had the "Delight" menu with snails as a starter, cod loin as a main course, and crumble for dessert.
13/03/2026: A very disappointing experience. The service was incredibly slow. After being greeted and ordered immediately upon being seated, we had to wait and ask to have our order placed. The value for money was very poor; the plates were barely filled, but the chef explained that we hadn't ordered a starter... The promised window seat was in the middle of the room... In short, nothing was right.
