05/07/2025: Good, but everything is definitely way overpriced, from the meat to the dessert. The products are quality, but the cuisine isn't very sophisticated. €27 for a slice of rump steak is definitely a bit of a stretch. In the restaurants they've copied, fries are unlimited. Here, it's €5 and something. They've stopped offering a free apple at the end. The service is efficient, the terrace is pleasant. Note: the terrace is non-smoking.

23/01/2026: A crêperie just the way we like them 🤍 Delicious, generous crêpes made with quality ingredients. The welcome is warm, simple, and genuine; you immediately feel at ease. A friendly spot in Pau where people come as much for the delicious food as for the atmosphere. I highly recommend it.

14/12/2025: A fantastic place my father-in-law introduced us to. The galettes and crêpes are indeed very good. I had the tartufata galette, which was absolutely delicious. The service was impeccable and friendly despite the crowds during the Festival of Lights.

01/09/2024: The restaurant was supposed to be open on Sunday evening. Arrived in front after 20 minutes of market it was closed without any indication

28/08/2024: "O Gascon" is a restaurant that we highly recommend and which, in addition to its gastronomic offer, convinces with the total commitment of its service staff. Always friendly and attentive, they even lent us their own jackets when the temperatures dropped after dark. In addition to the very successful "Magret de Canard" accompanied by a red wine from the region, it is worth mentioning in particular the "Cassoulet avec son thigh de Canard" which, as a delicacy foreign to the region (in fact originating from Carcassonne ), is presented as the specialty of the house at the risk of triggering a diplomatic crisis. On the taste level, a multitude of senses are attuned and always pushed with distinction, so that this supraregional dish is conceived as the ambassador of distant homelands.

29/12/2025: We had lunch at this restaurant today. The welcome was warm and the staff were really nice, but we were very disappointed with the pizzas… far too few toppings, they lacked flavor, which is a shame… not to mention the numerous flies.

29/11/2025: The 5 stars for the meal are well-deserved because it was truly delicious! Regarding the service, it took 40 minutes to get our order taken! And even then, we had to ask for it to be taken... It's a shame because this place is losing its quality of service and its clientele.

12/06/2025: First experience at Pilota (and the last) This is the first time I've sent a dish back to the kitchen twice in a row. €23 for a duck breast: the first was tiny (the height of irony for a restaurant that serves the Pau section: a rugby player would frown at such a small breast) and overcooked (confirmed by a waitress who was apologetic). The second breast was ice cold... The meat wasn't very good quality and wasn't tender. The third breast was well cooked but the taste wasn't there. When it came time to pay, there was no goodwill gesture, and the server assured me that the first was well cooked (which is completely false). I even got a "everything went well, except for the breast?" No excuse. The second server even offered to show me the first duck breast again to prove it was indeed rare (FYI, when the meat isn't rare but gray throughout, it's not rare). I regret going to a restaurant to eat an expensive dish that would have been tastier and much cheaper at home... The blue cheese sauce was made with partially melted, rubbery cheese. The only positive: the fries were good.

29/08/2024: I give 2 ⭐️ for the place (beautiful place and terrace) and for the overwhelmed servers (the poor ones). Quality/price to be reviewed, there are better in Pau. A little bartender training for the quality of his Mojito wouldn't hurt him. (€8.50). And a little wink to the boss, it's a shame to put bread straight from the freezer with a quality country pâté. A quick aside on the Italian salad (too green), I think the cook forgot the seasoning. We won't come back. Best wishes . And above all, good luck to the servers.
