19/08/2026: My first lunch break at the Brasserie since the change of ownership, and I wasn't disappointed! A wonderful welcome: the waitress was so cheerful. We had the quick bite option, and it was delicious! All accompanied by lovely background music! I highly recommend this place for both the food and the atmosphere!

18/08/2026: A truly excellent restaurant to discover in Pau. The meal is refined, generous, and expertly prepared, with ingredients that truly reflect the care and attention to detail of the cuisine. The welcome is warm and pleasant, with a genuine connection to the customers, making the experience even more enjoyable. While the prices are in the fine dining range, the value for money is excellent considering the quality of the dishes, the service, and the overall experience. A small, intimate dining room, quality cuisine, and a welcoming team: Le Canard Royal clearly deserves its excellent reputation. A place I highly recommend and where I will gladly return.

29/08/2026: Meal for two on the terrace, reservation required. A pleasant set menu in the evening with exquisite flavors. The tuna was a delight. The only downside was the paper bread basket, not great. The service was quick and efficient. We'll be back.

19/08/2026: Excellent menu. The egg starter was superb, well-balanced with a touch of acidity in the sauce. The fish was cooked to perfection, accompanied by delicious vegetables. The pastry for the raspberry tartlet dessert was very good, with a hint of buckwheat adding an exquisite flavor.

17/08/2026: Wow! What a great find in Pau! A lovely little restaurant, warm and welcoming, with a very pleasant terrace. The service was quick even though we had plenty of time. A set menu bursting with delicious flavors made with local ingredients. Behind it all is one person: the chef. In addition to the cooking and the service, she explains in detail what you're about to enjoy. Congratulations! 🤩

02/09/2026: It's always very good and the place is still as pleasant. The staff are always friendly and smiling. However, we had to repeatedly remind the server(s) about our drinks. The only downside.

29/07/2026: We discovered this restaurant during a previous stay in Pau three years ago. We were happy to stop by again on a Saturday at lunchtime. Prices have increased considerably in three years, but so has everything else (thanks to inflation!). We had the set menu (starter/main/dessert) for €22. Individual dishes are around €20 (€19 for a homemade burger and fries). The children's menu is €12 and includes crispy chicken and fries, and a scoop of ice cream or panna cotta. The servers were pleasant, although the service seemed a little slow. However, the quality of the food is still excellent; the dishes are delicious and beautifully presented. We had a lovely time.

The quality of the ingredients was impeccable, and the presentation was truly exquisite. I particularly appreciated the attention to detail on the plate, especially the pomegranate seeds, which added a touch of freshness and a beautiful splash of color to the dessert. We loved the ambiance and the refined flavors. It's an excellent place to treat yourself. We will definitely be back.
