24/04/2026: Small, very pleasant place with super friendly service. They have an à la carte menu and two set menus (one for €24.50 and another for €31) that include a starter, main course, and dessert. All the food is delicious, with a modern touch but tons of flavor. 100% recommended.

18/05/2026: We came this evening to celebrate our 5th anniversary together, and we had a wonderful time at Le Canard Royal ✨ The food was truly excellent from start to finish, with generous and beautifully prepared dishes. But beyond the meal, we especially loved the welcome: a warm, smiling, and genuinely pleasant team of servers. We were able to chat with them a bit at the end of our meal in a very friendly atmosphere, which made the evening even more special. A special mention also goes to the small glass of Armagnac offered at the end of the meal, a very much appreciated touch 😊 And a little inside joke: we found the restaurant thanks to ChatGPT… which gave them a good laugh 😄 In any case, thank you again for this lovely evening, we will gladly return!

28/05/2026: Passing through town, we stopped for lunch and the service was quick, welcoming, and professional – a real pleasure. The set menu, with gazpacho as a starter and shredded veal as a main course, was absolutely delicious and very generous! So glad we discovered this restaurant!

22/05/2026: We had a very pleasant lunch on the terrace. The welcome was friendly and efficient. The set menu was tempting enough that we didn't want to stray too far from the à la carte menu, which was equally appealing. But time was short, so we'll definitely be back for the menu. The set menu: yellow tomato gazpacho as a starter, followed by hake with vegetable gyozas on a creamy carrot purée. And to finish, a strawberry tiramisu sprinkled with pistachios. Overall, a very enjoyable experience. Excellent value for money. Highly recommended.

12/05/2026: I used to like this place; the people were respectful and friendly. But today, for some reason, we were invisible for ten minutes. A woman came to ask what we wanted and then left before we could say anything. After another fifteen minutes, we left, still invisible. All we got back was a bad smell of fried food on our clothes and a bitter taste.

03/05/2026: My review concerns the new Henri IV since its reopening in October. We were used to coming as a family until now and wanted to see what the new owners had created. Inside, the decor is more refined; the kitschy, easily recognizable portraits of dear Henri IV are gone, and it's brighter. As for the menu, we were used to the garbure (a hearty vegetable and meat stew) and were therefore a little disappointed that it wasn't on the menu, but we quickly forgot this detail because the meal was delicious from start to finish. For my starter, I had asparagus, which was very good; the Parmesan cheese added a real touch of something special. For my main course, I had the lasagna, which was extremely good, fragrant, with a multitude of flavors. Finally, homemade tiramisu for dessert, which was just as good! In short, I loved it, but I hope the restaurant manages to stand out because it's not the only one offering dishes with local ingredients, but without the little touch of the old Henri IV and its rustic dishes.

20/04/2026: I love having lunch at this organic and local restaurant right next to the Melies cinema! It's original, delicious, and cooked fresh... and for film buffs, at lunchtime you can add a Melies cinema ticket for €4 to the daily menu. Fantastic!

25/04/2026: My review has changed slightly since it doesn't directly concern the restaurant on Rue Valéry Meunier, but rather the fact that they came to La Forge Moderne last night. They offered several small dishes for €6, which were very varied and suitable for all dietary needs. These dishes were very good; I tried two: the ravioli and the tart. The service was quick; I think everything was already prepared or nearly so. My friend ordered the taloa and the chocolate cake, which also looked delicious. Furthermore, I found the restaurant owners to be very friendly. :) It would be great if you came back!

12/11/2025: Excellent service, even though the restaurant is tiny and unassuming. The lady gave us great advice, and the galettes were delicious! My daughter is allergic to gluten and sugar, so we were able to adapt her meal without any problem. The beer with cider 😬, I highly recommend it.
