15/09/2024: The food is not particularly good. The service is far from impeccable. Fortunately we came on a nice day otherwise even the atmosphere would not have had such a good rating. We had reserved for 8 to 12:30 p.m. to be at the water's edge, 2 weeks in advance. It was necessary to complain to actually get a place at the water's edge. (We were placed on the restaurant side). Arriving at 12:30 p.m., our starters arrived at 1 p.m., our dishes arrived at 2:30 p.m. The service is slow. Why such slow service? - Few staff (3 servers and one small kitchen) for a little too much cutlery. - poor management of the service. - The excuse? A group of people arrived late. An entire venue shouldn't have to suffer so much from this sort of thing that doesn't depend on the customers. We are assured that our dishes will arrive. Yes, 25 minutes later. People who arrived later than us received their starter, main course and dessert before we received our dishes. The waiters (especially one) are very unpleasant. The salmon has no taste, the shrimp sauce is shrimp in name only. The burgers are not bad but expensive for not so incredible quality. The coalfish was unremarkable. Risotto is just rice in water. The veal had no taste. No dish is salty, nothing tastes good. The bread they serve us is hard bread. We sent back the bread basket several times because of that. When returning the basket we ask why the bread is hard? However, it is the one delivered this morning. A word of advice: change supplier then. Additionally, the returned bread was, in fact, served to the next table. Hopefully they had good teeth. We didn't have dessert for fear of receiving them at 4 p.m. The starters weren't bad, that's a good point. We had to negotiate a commercial gesture. We were offered a bottle of rosé. In conclusion, It's expensive for what it is. It's not very good. The service is poorly managed (a group of 60 can be prepared, a full room does not have to endure it).

14/08/2024: While visiting Amiens, we had lunch in this restaurant. Restaurant that doesn't look like much and yet... The managers are adorable, we were very well received. The food is so good and the portions are generous. The value for money is unbeatable!!! In short, it’s an address that I recommend 100%.

23/06/2024: I trust a colleague, who takes me to eat there. We find ourselves in a kind of stuffy veranda, and despite pointing out twice that it's very hot, the waitress says "yes" and leaves without opening a window or anything. The tables are so close together that we no longer move around. On the other hand, it's perfect for following the neighbors' conversation. A permanent volume that is frankly painful, where everyone speaks louder than the other to be heard. On the way out, we notice a couple sitting at a table of two at the end of a doorless corridor. Mind-boggling. Claustro friends, flee. In short, we order from a slate on the wall, written by hand. A sort of eye test. I see the dish of the day at €10, I say impeccable, let’s try it. I order rump steak skewers and fries. The meat was dry like anything, but by drowning it in mayo it was OK. As for the 10 fries, not one more, I enjoyed them. We finally get out of this nightmare, and the boss asks me for €20. My colleague and I look at each other, not sure if we understand. Yes Yes. There was "extra" on the skewers. He goes to show me the slate, and indeed, written in small letters in red chalk, I did not see this very useful mention in the distance = extra. €9.90. In addition to a risky definition of a supplement, I pay double price for my daily special. Gift. And it will be the last, I won't set foot there again.

25/05/2024: It's a shame there weren't many people there last night! It was really nice to spend a very good evening in this place, with perfect cuisine and people who listened to our desires. To recommend.!

12/09/2024: Set menu at 7.50 p.m.: dessert dish, coffee or tea drink/Dish of the day: beef skewer with fries and salad and a sauce. The rare beef was very tender. Disappointed by the dessert of the day: Belle Hélène pear - firm fruit not poached, no vanilla ice cream. Large pieces of very dry cake. We were seated near a very noisy group. 05/09/2024: I had a very pleasant stay at this charming little pub/brasserie in Amiens. The servers were all smiles and very attentive. I ordered a Belgian beer and sat down to contemplate my trip to Amiens. Starting my day trip to Amiens with a visit to the Tower's Pub was a great decision.
