03/04/2026: Good French home cooking. It gets crowded quickly around lunchtime. Many tradesmen eat here for lunch.

20/02/2026: I love this brasserie; the food is always excellent, with great homemade fries, a daily special or a varied menu at very competitive prices, efficient service, and friendly staff. Go without hesitation.

07/04/2026: We tried the ficelle picarde, the mussels with Maroilles cheese, and the skate à la normande. We thoroughly enjoyed it. Excellent value for money. Very pleasant staff. I highly recommend it.

07/04/2026: No complaints about the mussels and seafood platter, as they require no cooking. However, making fish soup and sole meunière requires a certain level of skill, which was completely lacking that evening. The soup was tasteless, the pieces of bread resembled stale, untoasted scraps, and the sole was completely fried, overcooked instead of golden brown. To top it all off, the waiter completely ignored the issue and didn't even offer a gesture of goodwill.

22/04/2026: We come here every year to eat, but it's getting worse and worse. Words are misused, some dishes aren't fresh enough, and they need to rethink their customer service. Otherwise, it's still an unusual restaurant, but in my opinion, there are many things that need improvement.

22/04/2026: Avoid at all costs! I booked and arrived with no reservation. Furthermore, no compromise was possible and they refused to admit their mistake. A disgrace.

21/04/2026: Simple but good food. Classic cheese platter. Hotel atmosphere. Please make sure to update your menus on your website and in the rooms, as not everything listed in the apps was available in the dining room. A shame (server informed).

19/04/2026: We chose the daily specials menu. The dishes were very good and quite generous. The service was very pleasant, the staff were very professional and efficient. The atmosphere was cozy.

21/03/2026: For lunch today, we had andouillette sausage with fries and Flemish carbonnade with fries. The dishes were good and well-prepared. As for the fries, we would have preferred good Belgian fries. One drawback was the smell of air freshener coming from the restrooms. Not very pleasant during the meal. Next time, we'll avoid this place.

11/02/2026: I've eaten here about ten times now. The dishes are traditional and quite comforting. They're good. The portions are decent. The service isn't too bad. There are just one or two people who complain, but the rest of the servers are very welcoming, patient, and quite friendly. There's a wide selection of daily specials, but they're often the same... Arrive at noon and you'll eat very quickly (which suits me), it gets more difficult during the rush around 1 p.m. But that's to be expected since the prices are reasonable.

18/04/2026: Marquenterre Park Opens at 10:00 AM - approximately a 2-hour visit Which led us to the park's restaurant/shop around noon for a snack. The place is authentic. We loved the wooden deck built around the large, long-standing trees that have been preserved. The beer is light. The salmon donut and the chicken pan bagnat we chose were delicious. Thank you.

06/04/2026: The dishes are very expensive, starter, main course, dessert, drink, more like 30/40 Euros, average quality, don't arrive after 1pm or there won't be much left.

09/05/2026: A nonchalant owner who neglects his staff, apparently even ignoring traffic laws with his cart and bicycle going the wrong way. He's touchy, doesn't accept criticism after we voiced our negative feedback to him, and readily blames his competitors where we ate earlier. The ice cream was tasteless and poorly presented. The coffee, despite being of good quality, was undrinkable. The only positive points were the Bailey's, which thankfully can't be substituted, and the fact that dogs are welcome. Avoid this place if you're looking for a friendly atmosphere and quality food.

08/05/2026: Excellent pizzeria. The staff and the owner are very friendly and the atmosphere is welcoming. I highly recommend this establishment.

28/04/2026: Absolutely top-notch. My favorite restaurant in Amiens.

20/04/2026: The service on the terrace was a little slow, but understandable, it was the flea market 😊 Lunch: a baked Camembert with walnuts, a real treat... fries, salads, garlic bread. Happy with my choice. I'll definitely be back in October.

11/02/2026: Paid parking and we get broken into regularly. Just this Monday, thefts of goods were reported.

13/01/2026: Parking is currently free because the machine doesn't issue tickets.

15/08/2025: A very good experience; the mussels in cream sauce were excellent, and they served mojitos as an aperitif with their own special touch. Very welcoming staff 🙂

14/08/2025: Absolutely avoid this place... following our visit, my wife suffered food poisoning from a salad; as for me, my mackerel was served with new potatoes swimming in butter, with no lemon whatsoever to accompany the fish; and my café liégeois was completely melted under the pretext that they added real coffee (perhaps it would be wise to let it cool before adding it to the ice cream).

21/12/2025: We ate there after visiting the Christmas market and the cathedral. It was very good, homemade (ch'ti burger, fish and chips, chocolate fondant) and reasonably priced. The decor is lovely, and the owner was friendly.

26/04/2026: Excellent place! At Au Charivari, the welcome is fantastic: smiling, warm, with a touch of humor that immediately puts you at ease. The service is quick and efficient, perfectly tailored to our needs. The portions are generous, and the charcuterie is impeccable. We especially loved the melted Reblochon on the barbecue—an idea as original as it was delicious. We'll be back!

11/04/2026: In Amiens, the quality/price ratio is excellent. 👍 For those who remember it well, it brings back fond memories: the old "Le Valentin" sign. Nostalgia! 😉

24/04/2026: Quiet room. Noisy front door. Impeccable cleaning. Pleasant housekeeping staff. Spacious and pleasant lobby. Bring your own bottled water; the tap water is disgusting: too chlorinated. The water in the bathtub is light gray. The bedding (uncomfortable mattress, bed linen too short so it constantly leaks)

17/03/2026: Nice hotel with lovely staff who all try to be helpful. As mentioned previously in reviews rooms are slightly dated & not designed well … with doors opening awkwardly restricting space… no bottle water in room & TV not a smart one… saying all that the room was comfortable for the one night we stayed .. breakfast was really good with plenty of choice .. we had free parking at the front of the hotel which limited… We had a lovely meal in the hotel restaurant ( review on restaurant) .. the hotel served a purpose breaking our journey on our way home .. we wouldn’t hesitate using it again as the price was excellent.
