29/12/2025: Dishes between €14 and €17, soggy homemade fries. Four dishes were on offer, but only two were left when I went to order mine: a vegetarian option and some fish. Since I couldn't get the dish I wanted, I settled for a salad, which was actually quite crunchy. And the icing on the cake: a beer costing €5.80 at the self-service counter, only to find the same beer was €3.50 in the souvenir shop next door. Great...

20/02/2026: I love this brasserie; the food is always excellent, with great homemade fries, a daily special or a varied menu at very competitive prices, efficient service, and friendly staff. Go without hesitation.

20/02/2026: A superb hotel in Péronne. We spent one night there and were delighted. We received a very warm welcome and were given room 106. There were two of us, and the room was spacious and very well-equipped. Spotlessly clean. Perfect bedding. The heating had been set before our arrival, and the room was nice and warm. We had an excellent night's sleep. The breakfast was also perfect. It had been a long time since we had seen one so comprehensive. The breakfast hostess was very friendly. We are not giving our stay five stars because there is one small issue that prevents it from being absolutely perfect. We collected our key card in the afternoon and did not go to our room immediately. We returned to the hotel at 9:30 p.m. and discovered that our key card was not activated. Fortunately, other guests were checking in at the same time as us, and we were able to contact the night staff, who resolved the problem without delay. It was just a minor mishap, but without the other guests, we would have been left in the cold and rain, unable to get into the hotel. We will definitely return to this establishment.

20/02/2026: In the heart of Amiens city center, on the main square by the town hall, this bar-brasserie is a delightful find. We enjoyed a very good meal at quite reasonable prices. The service was impeccable, professional, and friendly. We will certainly return to enjoy this lovely terrace, ideally located on the square, when the weather is nice. The only downside, which is obviously not the fault of the establishment, is that it's a shame to have to pay for parking to support businesses in the city center. It's reasonable to fear that with ever-increasing restrictions and costs for motorists, city centers and their businesses will suffer, as is unfortunately already the case in many places. We highly recommend it. 👍🏼

10/01/2026: Stale waffle. A shame and very disappointing. At this level, it's better not to offer them outside of mealtimes.

21/12/2025: We ate there after visiting the Christmas market and the cathedral. It was very good, homemade (ch'ti burger, fish and chips, chocolate fondant) and reasonably priced. The decor is lovely, and the owner was friendly.

17/03/2026: I wouldn't give it zero stars because the place and the service were impeccable (kudos to the two very friendly waitresses for their courage with such a boss). Another positive point is that they cater to vegetarian and vegan meals; however, the vegetarian burger at €20 and the vegan burger with two patties but no cheese or sauce at €25 seem a bit pricey to me. Furthermore, the other four people ordered mussels that were cold and definitely not fresh (a strong smell when the dishes arrived). They sent their meals back. Apparently, the mussels are heated in a bain-marie; they were tiny in their shells, and the broth was tasteless. Furthermore, there was no attempt at compensation, even though we had ordered for six people: two bottles of white wine, a Coke, a bottle of sparkling water, a dozen oysters, and all six dishes. The owner didn't even come to see us, and on top of that, he gave me a cold look while I was smoking a cigarette outside, even though I was smiling at him. Basically, it's an interesting place for a drink on the terrace, but definitely avoid it if you're looking for a meal!

15/03/2026: Beautiful view from the quayside. But unfortunately, a one-hour wait just to order... Then over 30 minutes to be served... We left early because over an hour and a half for three hot chocolates and three crepes was far too long. I should mention that there weren't many people left on the terrace. Several people left because of the excessive wait.

27/02/2026: The food was very average. The place was dirty... very few vegetables. Around the vegetable buffet, fries and rice were lying around; nothing was cleaned. Shameful.

27/12/2025: Nice setting. The food was good, but it would have been better if it had been a little hotter. One of the meats wasn't cooked properly: medium, not pink. The salad wasn't very fresh. The wine we ordered never arrived; after asking the waiter, I was told they were out. (My meal was almost finished.) We ordered a starter, but we received the main course instead. ?!

26/11/2025: All the Échanson hotels in the Mercure de France group (one of the Accor group's brands) share the principle of introducing you to regional cuisine, affordable wines from local wine regions, and quality menus. L'Échanson in Amiens is no exception. In fact, it's a model of excellence in terms of its warm welcome and efficient service. The cuisine, worthy of a good city brasserie, features classic and generous dishes, along with some excellent chef's specials. There's no artificially inventive cuisine that leaves you starving, but rather simple, satisfying, and enjoyable dishes. Located opposite the magnificent cathedral, L'Échanson is a great choice in this area, especially for tourists, offering excellent value for money!

17/03/2026: Nice hotel with lovely staff who all try to be helpful. As mentioned previously in reviews rooms are slightly dated & not designed well … with doors opening awkwardly restricting space… no bottle water in room & TV not a smart one… saying all that the room was comfortable for the one night we stayed .. breakfast was really good with plenty of choice .. we had free parking at the front of the hotel which limited… We had a lovely meal in the hotel restaurant ( review on restaurant) .. the hotel served a purpose breaking our journey on our way home .. we wouldn’t hesitate using it again as the price was excellent.

12/03/2026: The hotel is very well located, and the restaurant is nice and affordable. The only downside is that the bathroom water is barely hot.

11/02/2026: I've eaten here about ten times now. The dishes are traditional and quite comforting. They're good. The portions are decent. The service isn't too bad. There are just one or two people who complain, but the rest of the servers are very welcoming, patient, and quite friendly. There's a wide selection of daily specials, but they're often the same... Arrive at noon and you'll eat very quickly (which suits me), it gets more difficult during the rush around 1 p.m. But that's to be expected since the prices are reasonable.

07/02/2026: We wanted to have a drink at 7:30 pm, and when we arrived, there wasn't even a "hello," just "we're closing in 10 minutes"... we left immediately! I don't recommend it, especially since it's not the first time we've received such a cursory welcome.
