20/09/2024: Made reservations for a Thursday night. Food was very good! Each dish was made very well and the flavors all complemented each other. The owners serve you and prepare the food and you can tell they take great pride in the prep and their patrons. Highly recommend a stop here. For 100 euros, the seven course menu plus wine is a great value in Avignon. The one thing to take L’Agape up another notch is to improve the by the glass and bottle selections. There is only one white, rose, red, and sparkling to choose from by the glass. The by the bottle list is above average.
10/09/2024: On the advice of a #Vignarès wine merchant met during a tasting at Domaine Richaud, we had lunch there today with great pleasure. Subtle and elegant cuisine, charming terrace and equally charming service. Address to remember

It was a great experience, the chef is an absolutely professional and friendly person and the meal was perfect. I highly recommend the Grands Bateaux de Provence.

27/09/2024: Came here as a party of 6 on a very rainy night without a reservation. The team were wonderful in getting us seated under a set of umbrellas. One noticed we were getting dropped on and kindly moved us without us even asking. The service and food were both amazing! We even contemplated going back the next night.
When we're back in Avignon, we will definitely return here!
27/09/2024: Lovely setting. We had the steak and fries and it was amazing. The veg platter was less impressive but overall had a good dinner here

16/09/2024: The service was terrible. We was at first given a table on our own by the toilets which was crammed and had people continually passing us by. We asked to move as there was other tables available. We did get moved but we was very crammed in a corner still.
The food we was served (actually plonked on the table) was not what we ordered on the menu and we wasn’t told beforehand they never had what we ordered so they just gave us an alternative plate which was of ham chips & lettuce instead. Never felt so insulted. Treated like cattle just another tourist.
The waitresses need customer service skills. Would never return here.
Recommend you spend a few more euro's and get better service quality & FOOD elsewhere!

An excellent time spent in this restaurant! The dishes were simply delicious, perfectly cooked and rich in flavor. The service was also impeccable: the waitresses were very welcoming, smiling and attentive to our needs throughout the meal. An address that I highly recommend for a successful meal!

03/09/2024: Buon ristorante tipico in Avignone al centro. Buoni piatti discreto rapporto qualità prezzo. Porzioni normali, non particolermente abbondanti qualità buona. Un buon standard per un ristorante francese.
Ambiente informale, simpatico in una bella piazza pedonale, perfetto con amici. Buoni cocktail.

19/09/2024: Ojalá tuviera algunas fotos para agregar de la parte delantera del restaurante ya que las pocas que se han publicado no muestran la bonita zona que realmente es. Nos sentamos en una de las mesas del patio y el ambiente era maravilloso.
El personal era amable y era paciente con dos turistas que no hablan francés.
El menú era lo suficientemente grande como para ofrecer algo para todos y elegimos algunos platos para compartir. Disfrutamos de todo lo que pedimos.
Para cuando salimos el restaurante estaba lleno, y el interior tenía un ambiente igual de agradable.
Recomendaría Le Barrio a cualquiera que busque una buena cena en Aviñón.

09/03/2024: The main dishes had great flavor. We had the pork belly and salmon.
Reasons stars were deducted: entree was fine, nothing super special. Atmosphere is ok, again nothing special. The mains were really good though so if you want an easy, good dinner for a decent price then you should go.

31/08/2024: Small restaurant away from the crowds in a small alley. We had lunch in a small shaded courtyard. Very affordable menu and delicious daily special. We were very well received.
