17/01/2025: I wanted to share with you my opinion on our recent invitation to the restaurant La Bergerie, organized by our mother-in-law last Sunday. At first glance, I expected traditional local cuisine, but upon arrival, I was pleasantly surprised. The warm welcome from the management and the professionalism of the young waitresses immediately created a friendly and welcoming atmosphere. What impressed me the most was the exceptional quality of the dishes. As a former chef, I am always on the lookout for restaurants that dare to think outside the box and highlight the freshness and quality of the products. La Bergerie was able to meet all my expectations. Each dish was a true festival of flavors, with surprising but perfectly mastered combinations. I would also like to point out that this high-level taste experience was offered at a very reasonable price. It's quite rare these days to find such value for money in a gourmet restaurant. In summary, La Bergerie is a true hidden gem. I strongly encourage you to go there with your eyes closed. You will not be disappointed, quite the contrary. 25/11/2025: Upon entering, we were asked to wait for a chair with a note on it. The entire restaurant was full of partitions, making it feel a bit claustrophobic. We were placed in a corner without a view outside. (See photo). Furthermore, the waitress rushed us as if we had to leave quickly. The food wasn't warm and the portions were small. No questions asked during the process if we had had enough or if we needed another drink. The price/quality ratio is disproportionate. Very expensive! A beautiful location outside, but not recommended inside.

01/07/2025: I discovered Le Patio during a business lunch, and I have absolutely no regrets! The meal was very good; I truly enjoyed it. The service was fast, and the waiters were both professional and very friendly. I highly recommend it!

20/11/2025: You can tell there's a lot of thought behind it. It was good and efficient! €15.50 for the lunch menu: starter + main course + dessert, right on the banks of the Vienne River. I highly recommend it.

10/12/2025: Our waiter was lovely, but we were very disappointed with the food. We chose this restaurant because the photos on the website showed very attractive and appetizing dishes. This was far from reality. I ordered the cod and specifically asked for no sauce as I am allergic to eggs. I ended up with a rectangle of frozen fish, overcooked and tasteless, with unappetizing frozen cauliflower and broccoli, two small pieces of carrot, two small unpeeled potatoes, and to top it all off, two hard-boiled egg halves! The scallops were undoubtedly also frozen, and everything looked nothing like the beautiful, appetizing photos. The glass of white wine arrived, and it was definitely not Chablis... In short, a huge disappointment. The restaurant was practically empty, and we understand why. It's a shame because the setting is lovely, but they really need to improve the quality of the food.

09/12/2025: A very nice and comfortable restaurant. The staff are welcoming, smiling and very attentive; I just regret that, in the lunch rush, they forgot about me a little... The room is echoey, the noise level can quickly rise, but I had a very good time and ate extremely well, which is the main thing for me.

08/12/2025: We arrived a little late and they found us a table. We didn't speak French and they did their best to understand us. The homemade food was very good and the set menu was delicious. I would definitely return.

16/11/2025: The Logis Hôtel-Restaurant Beauséjour in Chauvigny is a truly delightful surprise, both warm and authentic, offering excellent value for money. From the moment you arrive, the façade evokes a slightly vintage, family atmosphere, bringing back fond memories of road trips with my grandparents in the 1980s. It's a simple and genuine ambiance, the kind you find less and less these days. The hotel is quiet, both on the street side and the courtyard side, yet ideally located: the town center is only about 200 meters away, perfect for exploring Chauvigny on foot. The recently renovated rooms are pleasant, clean, and perfectly suited for a good night's sleep. They have everything you need without any unnecessary extras, but with a quality that clearly exceeds what you would expect in this category. The restaurant is undoubtedly one of the establishment's greatest assets: a spacious, relaxing dining room, and a set menu for just €16 (starter + main course + dessert) with four or five choices at each course. The menus change weekly, and it shows: the cuisine, prepared by the owner himself, features quality French ingredients, is expertly prepared, generous, and authentic. The food is truly excellent. All the staff are welcoming, friendly, and attentive, which further enhances the enjoyment of your stay. For me, it's simply the best value for money in Chauvigny. An address to recommend without hesitation, whether for a stopover or a longer stay.

The atmosphere is warm and inviting all year round, and the Christmas season makes the shop even more charming with its cozy decorations and seasonal drinks. Special mention goes to the team, who add a real touch of magic with their Christmas sweaters. It puts everyone in a good mood and gives the café an extra touch of charm. As for the treats, the Cinnamon Chai Latte is divine, and the Cinnamon Roll muffin is absolutely irresistible. Every bite is a delight. The service is top-notch: fast, welcoming, and always with a smile. You can tell the team loves what they do, and that makes the experience even more enjoyable. It's a place I always want to return to, to enjoy the atmosphere, the drinks, and the treats. A must-visit!
