29/09/2025: Ideally located for exploring Châtellerault, La Gourmandine Hotel is a haven of peace. It's a beautiful place to stay, peaceful and in a unique setting. A special mention goes to the breakfast. A small drawback: a kettle in the room would be welcome, either for early morning breakfasts or evening herbal teas.

The staff is incredibly friendly, even with our late arrival at 9:30 pm one evening, and without a reservation. We also had breakfast there, which was very good and plentiful. 20/10/2025: A Real Disappointment at La Table du Golf I came to La Table du Golf yesterday to accompany a friend whose son was competing. I'd been there several times this summer and had always been enthusiastic: pleasant setting, attentive service, relaxed atmosphere... in short, a real pleasure. But yesterday, what a disappointment! The young blond bartender was particularly unpleasant: no smile, closed attitude, and a constant feeling of inconvenience. Even for a simple hot drink, we felt unwelcome. I spoke about it with other parents present, and we all felt the same thing: a frosty welcome, a far cry from the friendly atmosphere we'd experienced here. It's a shame, because the place deserves better than such unfriendly service. I sincerely hope it was just a bad day, because until now, it's been a wonderful place.

10/03/2026: Everything in this well-located little hotel is designed to ensure guest satisfaction: a warm welcome and attentive staff, a comfortable room, private parking, a restaurant with delicious food (our dog 🐕 loved it too 😃). The value for money is also excellent; we highly recommend this establishment and will gladly return.

04/02/2026: What a delightful surprise this restaurant was!!...a client, Evelyne, whom I met in Chauvigny, recommended it for lunch...easy to get to and a very pleasant atmosphere... The staff were incredibly attentive and caring (they cleared away breadcrumbs between courses and changed cutlery after each course...) and the lunch menu included an exceptionally tender and moist stew...the starter was divine and the dessert lived up to the rest of the meal...in short, a truly wonderful experience that I highly recommend!! Thank you to the entire team at Le Lion d'Or!

25/11/2025: Upon entering, we were asked to wait for a chair with a note on it. The entire restaurant was full of partitions, making it feel a bit claustrophobic. We were placed in a corner without a view outside. (See photo). Furthermore, the waitress rushed us as if we had to leave quickly. The food wasn't warm and the portions were small. No questions asked during the process if we had had enough or if we needed another drink. The price/quality ratio is disproportionate. Very expensive! A beautiful location outside, but not recommended inside.

07/03/2026: Flawless. Surprising? I don't think so. The welcome was warm, the service impeccable; everyone was perfectly synchronized, like an orchestra—the chefs, the wine, the desserts. Truly flawless! Bravo! A delightful experience. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. In the summer, there's the interior terrace, a peaceful escape while you eat. In short, yet another place where dining is a true pleasure.

26/02/2026: A well-regarded restaurant in the center of Poitiers, just steps from the town hall, it's often crowded due to its popularity. The menu features original and quite successful dishes, quality ingredients, and a fine wine list. The service is a little hesitant, provided by the young staff, but that's part of the learning process!

16/12/2025: The pizza dough didn't seem to be what it was. The cream pizzas had little to no cream, as there was no taste of it. Otherwise, they were well-topped, but we didn't like them.

02/03/2026: While visiting the Lathus educational farm, we had lunch by the Gartempe River at the La Voulzie restaurant. The welcome, service, and cuisine were all top-notch; we highly recommend it to anyone wanting to enjoy a gourmet experience in this idyllic setting. Don't hesitate!
