22/08/2026: I've been coming here for years and I realize I've never left a review. This restaurant is the place to be... A must-try in Poitiers. From the staff to the food, everything is excellent.

21/08/2026: Pleasant place. We received a very warm welcome, even at the end of service. The owner is very friendly and attentive to her customers. The servers are very kind and helpful. Excellent service and cuisine. We will gladly return to share a meal with our student. Thank you for this lovely, well-run establishment.

05/09/2026: Visited as part of a themed tour with two narrators: a very clear guide and a talented early music musician and singer. The abbey church is a gem and the exhibition rooms are very pleasant (an interesting exhibition on the flood, referencing the fresco of Noah's Ark).

15/09/2026: It was our wedding anniversary. We had booked for today. The welcome was nonexistent. After 5 minutes, we were handed two menu cards without a word or even a glance. We had already made our choice for the occasion and waited for over 20 minutes, repeatedly signaling to the two people in the dining room to take our order. We were completely ignored. Other tables (behind us) were served before us with aperitifs and orders taken while we were still waiting. The wait allowed us to observe the service and hygiene, particularly regarding the placement of the aperitif glasses. The servers were neither cheerful nor friendly. So we left without our order ever being taken. Thanks for this lovely romance, this beautiful novel that I will hasten to forget. Zero stars, even though one is required to submit a review.

14/09/2026: We had been customers of Lucullus for several years, and it was therefore with all the more disappointment that we noticed a marked decline in quality, both in the food and the service. The waitress was rather unfriendly, even quite curt at times. Our aperitif remained on the table throughout the meal, and the bottle of wine was simply placed on the table without even being poured. These may seem like minor details, but taken together, they truly give the impression that the quality of the welcome and service is no longer up to par. We are sincerely disappointed, as we had always appreciated this establishment and had been loyal patrons for years. We hope that this is just a temporary setback and that Lucullus will soon return to the level that had made us want to come back all these years.

This was our first time in Châtellerault, and if we return, we will definitely choose this restaurant again. The terrace is fantastic, and the tataki was divine. Our compliments to the chef; he truly delighted us.
