nice atmosphere and nice menu, but some good and some not so good on the plate:
the presentation of the dishes was top notch, good ingredients and inventive recipes. The octopus was very good, but a little tough. the tuna was perfectly cooked but bland. in the assortment of desserts, one out of 2 was bland.
therefore, we remain with a mixed impression

02/04/2024: We came as a family for the Easter weekend, 3 nights.
Everything was absolutely perfect!
The place is splendid!
But above all, the staff is incredible, extremely kind and attentive.
The chef is as exceptional as his cuisine.
We had so much fun!
Cristina for messages is wonderful too.
Everything is organized so that adults and children live together in harmony. Our little darlings are as pampered as the adults.
Thank you, to each person at Maison du Val for allowing us to feel at home, at yours.
We will come back with great pleasure and will not fail to talk about it around us and here so that everyone knows that it is a place to discover urgently!

Also pleasant setting, with a terrace in summer.
The boss, on the other hand, is not always friendly. It's too bad.
16/03/2024: Mixed experience in this restaurant very well located opposite the castle. The place is nevertheless welcoming despite the high attendance. The room is tastefully decorated. The wait is a little long, the service lacks friendliness and personality. It's a shame.
The menu is well studied and the dishes sought after. The kitchen is no exception. The dishes are tasty although not very filling. It is better to have a starter, one dish is not enough.
The price is not shocking, for the quality of the products offered and the location of the restaurant. However, there is a little something missing to set this restaurant apart from the others, both in terms of the cuisine and the general atmosphere.

Very nice setting and attentive service, but uneven food for the asking price.
As a starter, very good sea bream and tartare, egg without much taste and without much interest. as a main course, excellent scallops, but the pigeon was disappointing (very fatty crispy fritter, accompanied by a spoonful of celery remoulade...)
02/04/2024: We had a fantastic family brunch. Tasty, many choices, fresh and high quality. The restaurant, despite an old fashion style of 70’s, we can give it the fact that it makes you travel in the past. The service is a 5 stars. I recommend the restaurant for business, family or to meet your love in a romantic area. The cherry on the cake was the pianist singer embracing a cool ambient.

Efficient service despite the large number of guests.
Very good fish garnished with fresh vegetables.

The little gourmet coffee is always appreciated.
I recommend 1000 times.

I recommend this establishment.
06/03/2024: I apologize in advance for my opinion but I think it is important to highlight the good and the bad.
Not that the cuisine was very bad, I would rather say very average.
On the other hand, in terms of service I think that my words will surprise more than one person because I found the waiter polite and smiling.
So yes when we arrived he warned us that we had to be gone by 9 p.m. and yes he was on duty to clear up, but for my part it doesn't bother me that the dishes follow one another, no really it was balanced at this level.
As far as the cuisine is concerned, it's more mixed, no seasoning of the dishes, a herring/potato style salmon bathed in oil with very little taste, a dry and tasteless ballottine, a nice but not notable dessert. ..Yet in terms of presentation there is a nice effort made... But then the "ting!" from the microwave we heard didn't help.
And to end this evening in style, 3 hours later I was overcome by very strong nausea and I threw up all my guts while filling a whole salad bowl.......
Conclusion,
If you're not too particular about seasonings and your stomach is a little tougher than mine, then go for it, otherwise nope.
