15/09/2026: Quite disappointed with this restaurant. We were expecting much better. The portions were very small (we had to order from another restaurant). The starter and main course were rather bland. The dessert, however, was absolutely excellent! Our waiter was unprofessional, though not impolite. And, it seemed, he had no formal training (he didn't know how to set a plate). One of the waitresses spoke almost no French, which made communication particularly difficult. Another waiter came to get the cheese but didn't know anything about it. In short, not an experience I would recommend.

11/09/2026: Probably the best brasserie in the area. The food is simply exceptional for an extremely reasonable price.

23/05/2026: Peaceful and quiet, away from the noise of the city center. The staff is competent and incredibly welcoming, responding to every request. The room is clean, and the restaurant/bar is great. The pool and jacuzzi are truly lovely for relaxing. I highly recommend it. 😊

11/05/2026: We just ate at the restaurant for the third time this year for birthdays. Very good value for money, but please consider changing the hot dishes for the customers. And the bread – could you make something other than these mini long rolls, if you can even call them bread?

20/08/2026: Definitely the best coffee shop in Nîmes. The staff are very friendly and knowledgeable; they're eager to sell and know how to do it. The hot drinks are excellent, and the drinks by the glass (diabolo, syrup, etc.) are perfectly measured.

11/08/2026: I ordered an iced latte and was unfortunately disappointed. The drink had very little, if any, coffee flavor; the milk was the main taste. For an establishment that presents itself as a roaster, I really expected to taste the aromas and flavor of coffee more. The iced latte recipe clearly needs improvement. Especially since the price is quite high for what's offered.

27/08/2026: We waited over 30 minutes before a server finally decided to take our order. When we went to the counter, they told us they only offered table service, not counter service. Despite several requests, no one came, even though a waitress had said she was coming. We had to ask the manager to be served, and one of the other waitresses saw us but refused to come, knowing that new customers were being served. Frankly, I expected better, especially since the place had been recommended to me. I won't be returning.

21/08/2026: The waiter was very unpleasant, he is blond and he looked down on us, saying that we were ordering too much even though we were consuming drinks in his bar, his name is Thibault.

27/08/2026: Ordered the fish en papillote menu and was very surprised to see it placed in a huge square of aluminum foil. Aside from the aesthetics, it was far from ideal, considering the risks associated with heating aluminum foil—a complete eyesore—and the sauce was so runny I stained my dress 😡 Not worthy of Jérôme Nutile. I should add that we had to ask three times for our bottle of wine. Despite our negative feedback, not even a gesture of goodwill. The bistro is nothing like it used to be.

19/08/2026: Everything was perfect from start to finish. The service was quick, the staff were kind and attentive, the place was spotless, the welcome was warm, and the food was both high-quality and plentiful… A perfect experience! As someone who doesn't particularly like sweet and savory combinations, the chef made a delicious olive sauce just for me. I really appreciated this gesture; thank you again! See you soon!

23/08/2026: The service at Café Carré was truly disappointing. The waiter was unpleasant, didn't say hello or thank you, and had a haughty attitude. I ordered a cappuccino and a crêpe. I waited for the crêpe to arrive so I could drink my cappuccino, but after 20 minutes it still hadn't arrived. I finally had to drink my cappuccino cold, and we left. Personally, I won't be returning.

23/08/2026: A terrible experience at Café Carré. We were served by a particularly unpleasant waiter with long hair: no greeting, no thank you, and a frankly haughty attitude. We ordered a Coke, a cappuccino, and two crepes. After a 20-minute wait, the crepes still hadn't arrived. So we decided to leave, because waiting that long for two crepes is simply unacceptable. And that wasn't all: I ordered a Coke thinking I'd get a glass bottle, but I was served a glass of flat Coke, clearly from a bottle that had been open for a while, while still being charged the price of a bottled Coke. The best for last: when it came time to give me my change, the waiter didn't even know how to do the math properly. I had to explain to him how much change I needed. In short, between the welcome, the service, the wait, and the bill, it's an experience I absolutely do not recommend. It's a shame, because with a minimum of professionalism and respect for the client, things could have been very different.

10/07/2026: The owner is very pleasant! And so is the person at the bar! The food is also very good, the fish (what I had!) was cooked perfectly (meltingly tender...in short, perfect!). I will gladly return with others to share this kind of restaurant, the kind we wish we saw more of! Signed; the lady with the orgeat syrup 😜

01/07/2026: A very good brasserie with a pleasant atmosphere. The food is good and well-presented. The staff is welcoming, friendly, and professional. A place where you can eat well. We will gladly return.

19/05/2026: We stayed two days at this hotel, which promptly charged us for breakfast upon arrival. The problem is that the hotel charged us for four adult breakfasts instead of two (I imagine the staff couldn't distinguish between children aged 1 to 6 and an adult), and despite a promise of reimbursement, nothing has been done. I should add that we didn't have internet access in our room. I will remove my review if the refund is issued.

06/05/2026: Excellent welcome. The staff is pleasant. Breakfast is very basic.... I recommend keeping the scrambled eggs and sausages separate from the hot plate. Nice room.

02/11/2025: Excellent, succulent, exquisite, and I'm sure I'm forgetting some things... What more can I say? You have to go there to see for yourself!! Exemplary service at a fair price.

01/11/2025: Drawn in by the menu featuring an omelet with chanterelles and black trumpet mushrooms, you discover an exceptional spot: a awning-covered patio, an island of tranquility in the heart of Nîmes. The service is outstanding, the sommelier offers excellent advice, and the cuisine is homemade using fresh, local ingredients, orchestrated by renowned chef Sébastien Granier, a Bocuse alumnus (photo visible at the entrance). The wine cellar is top-notch... a set menu at €25, the omelet at €19... it's top-notch without breaking the bank. Highly recommended!

10/09/2026: Excellent restaurant. The cuisine is high quality and traditional, and the staff are very pleasant and attentive.

07/09/2026: Overall disappointment. The usual friendly, relaxed atmosphere of the South was nowhere to be seen. We ordered burgers cooked to our liking, and no one got their burger cooked exactly as they wanted. For example, one burger we ordered medium was cooked rare… An ingredient we requested was removed from a burger, but it wasn't. They offered no apology. The service was incredibly slow, the servers were unwelcoming and unfriendly, giving the impression that we were bothering them.

25/06/2026: The bar has a very limited selection of drinks. We ordered a Piña Colada and a Sangria, and they were really not very good. The bar's clientele also needs to be addressed. When you have a guy who's having fun making farting noises on his phone for over 30 minutes and changing tables every 5 minutes to make sure everyone hears him 😬 please find a purpose for this guy. Farting makes me laugh, but there's a limit.

06/09/2026: The pastries are quite good, but the service is subpar. When will you finally address all the comments that point out the same problem? You would be doing your establishment a favor.

16/08/2026: I don't understand! I asked for a well-baked fougasse, but no, they gave me an underbaked one! And there were some well-baked ones available! Why do your saleswomen do whatever they want?! This isn't the first time. Isn't customer satisfaction your priority?

12/06/2026: Zero hygiene and the service is nonexistent. I don't know how such a bakery can still be open; it's shameful.

09/06/2026: Week of June 1st to 5th, 2026 Too few employees (one or two at most) around 1 p.m., so too many people were waiting for food! I had to go to another Marie Blachère to get served more quickly for my meal.
