17/10/2025: A nice, rustic cabin in a beautiful location. The rooms are a bit dated. They could use some improvements here and there.
The outdoor dining area, right by the street, is noisy.
The food is good.
The staff is friendly.
Breakfast is adequate.
24/09/2025: For us it is always a pleasure to stop at the Napoleon refuge, I can no longer count the number of times we had a drink there while soaking up the scenery with the small lake and the Col de Vars.🏔️⛰️ In summer in 🏍️ or in winter snowshoeing at the Vars resort nearby.

08/02/2026: I found the waiter and the cook very, very friendly; they offered us two génépi liqueurs. They are very welcoming. I highly recommend this fantastic restaurant, thank you! 👍
08/02/2026: The restaurant was very welcoming, no complaints about the service, and the menu was excellent (a minor point: you need to reserve the brazier). However, there's plenty of choice on the evening menu, and the homemade desserts were superb. 👌 I highly recommend it with great pleasure.

03/09/2025: Great team, varied menu, very well served dishes and a great atmosphere. We had lunch and dinner there several times in 15 days and frankly no faults... And the takeaway pizzas are amazing :) and very generous like the rest of the dishes. All for very reasonable prices.

The dishes are generous, flavorful, and prepared with real attention to quality. A delightful experience from start to finish. A must-try!

06/01/2026: The waiters weren't particularly friendly, and the steak tartare was half diced tomatoes and half meat.
The way the owner paid and seemed so attentive to her customers didn't exactly inspire me to return.

I had written that my dog had slept in the car because pets aren't allowed in the establishment. After a phone call from the owner, I learned that I could have negotiated for him to come into the room. So, mea culpa!

29/01/2026: We came as a family to Rocky in Vars and we loved it! The pizzas are excellent, with perfectly cooked crust and generous toppings, and the sandwiches are just as good and well-filled. Everyone found something they liked. A warm welcome, smiling staff, and quick service, even with children. A friendly and relaxed atmosphere, perfect after a day in the mountains. We'll definitely be back!
29/01/2026: Excellent pizzeria! Delicious pizzas, quality ingredients, fast service, and a very welcoming team. Warm atmosphere. I recommend it 100%!

26/01/2026: An arrogant boss or manager who likes to badmouth his customers at the checkout; it's just awkward when you're standing right there. Personally, I won't be eating there again; there are far better restaurants in Vars where you get friendly service.
26/01/2026: We hadn't even tasted the food yet and we already wanted to leave.
We were a table of 15 who were going to order a lot, but that didn't stop the servers from being unpleasant.
It wasn't possible to make even the smallest change to the burgers despite our allergies. The waitress's responses were curt. We didn't feel welcome at all. It was the first and last time we'll be there.

12/09/2025: A zero for the reception (it's a shame there's no such thing as a zero); as soon as I entered, I turned around because the lady was so rude to the customers!
A place to avoid!
03/09/2025: Run away...the sheet metal workers are fed up and they make it clear to you...I can understand that they are fed up given their great age, but at a certain point when you no longer want to, you have to pass the baton...and avoid cursing the customer! Next time, we'll look elsewhere!!!
