01/09/2024: If you're tired of the dumplings and andouillettes served in most restaurants on Rue St Jean, then you can try the exotic at the Raj Mahal. We received good advice from the waiter, who did not push us to eat, and who directed us towards suggestions that were not too spicy. I don't remember the name of the dishes, but it was tandoori.

21/06/2025: Mixed satisfaction. The server was friendly and welcoming, and the dining room was pleasant. However, the mango lassi lacked flavor, and the chicken tika masala was too salty. The butter chicken was good, and the cheese naan was excellent.

14/12/2025: Visiting Hirson for the first time, we were delighted by the quality of the food: the dishes were delicious and served in generous portions. The welcome was particularly warm, thanks in particular to the very friendly and sociable waitress with short hair, which was a real pleasure. We highly recommend this restaurant and will gladly return.

22/06/2025: It went really badly! We had made a reservation for 8 pm. We arrived, but were left waiting for 15 minutes while they found us a table. An inexplicable wait: we waited a long time for our starters, and even longer for our main courses. An hour and 15 minutes to wait for a main course is not normal! On top of that, the server made a mistake by bringing us other dishes. We wanted to have dinner for the Fête de la Musique, so we arrived at 8 pm and left at 10:30 pm. At that time, there wasn't much left. The wait was long, and during that time, the music was playing way too loud in a cupboard; we had to turn it down. It's truly a shame. We were among the last to be served. We left the restaurant, practically the only ones left, meaning we were served last, while customers were pouring in, even though we had a reservation. I'm giving it 3 stars only in thanks for the goodwill gesture where they offered us free starters, even if €4 out of an average of €30 per person seems a bit meager considering the disaster it was. I'd never had any problems there before, though, so really, it's a shame to take reservations and crowds when you're not able to accommodate them.

10/12/2025: I ordered meat samosas for €7 and received two small samosas in a salad box for €3.50 each. I'm disappointed and won't order from this restaurant again. However, the rest of the food was good, but expensive for the small portion size. The price is definitely not in relation to the quantity!
