19/03/2026: I ate there in January and got terrible food poisoning. It took my body three weeks to recover… The chicken was like plastic. I tried to dry my hands in the restroom, but it was the electrical box. There was no ventilation in the restaurant either. Total no-go!

31/08/2026: The portions are meager. My plate contained €13 worth of lamb korma… and I ordered a €3.50 portion of plain rice, which was served in a shared dish with the person who had ordered a set menu, so a small portion to share between two people… This restaurant is very disappointing and doesn't even measure up to the most basic Indian restaurants in the 18th arrondissement. And the welcome was very cold too, which is a shame.

16/08/2026: The dish was very good, but the service left something to be desired. The main course was more like a very generous portion of an appetizer.

17/08/2026: Very disrespectful and nonchalant. We felt like we were constantly bothering the gentleman, who seemed to be the manager's husband, whenever we asked him for anything. A very bad experience. The place is outdated.

15/07/2026: A very bad experience. I wanted to try this restaurant and was extremely disappointed. Over 30 minutes waited for the appetizers, then over an hour for the main courses, which were served one at a time. The waiter forgot the naan I ordered as an extra and didn't even clear the appetizer plates. The service was disorganized and far too slow. An experience I do not recommend. If you can get away, get away!

14/02/2026: Good evening, this is just our personal opinion, my partner's and mine. This restaurant has a serious lack of hygiene. The restrooms are dirty, the toilet stalls and the kitchen entrance are filthy. The carpets are covered in dust. We didn't dare touch the doors or light switches. This makes us doubt the quality of the entire meal. What a shame.

15/09/2026: We live in the neighborhood and have loved this place since it opened. The products are good, the terrace is fantastic, and the owner is experienced. No problems with the service after four visits; always a warm welcome.

22/08/2026: In the afternoon, a beer on the terrace, Happy Hour 5 euros a pint 👍, very friendly welcome from the (blond) waiter... I recommend it more than La Villa Gambetta just across the street... We do have some great cafes in Paris too ☺️

06/09/2026: We ordered mushroom dosas for takeout tonight, and when we got home we realized there were only onions, some of them burnt, and not a single mushroom and hardly any cheese! The potato and cheese dish was the same; it had potatoes, but we're still looking for the cheese! They must have changed owners! It's a disgrace!

01/09/2026: We had a bad experience. For 19Eur they gave least portions in thali menu in the name of ganesh fete. And moreover the supervisor was pushing us out to accomadate next.

17/08/2026: Check your bill; the waiter has a knack for upselling and doesn't understand French service. I asked for water with the €18 set menu, and he put a bottle of Evian on the table with the starter and main course at the same time and disappeared, presumably to avoid having to come back. The weather was pleasant, and I was thirsty, so I had to get up and go inside to ask if the Evian was included. "Yes, sir." I smelled a rat, but I sat back down and asked for my dessert to go. Of course, when it came time to pay, the Evian was an extra charge. I refused the extra charge, protesting that I had asked, paid what I owed, and left the water and dessert. A misunderstanding? I don't think so; the waiter speaks perfect French. So it wasn't a matter of understanding, but a deliberate attempt to inflate the bill. The place is nice with a view that relaxes the mind, it's a shame to spoil it by treating customers like fools.

15/08/2026: A complete rip-off: the "vegetable curry" is barely cooked mixed vegetables with curry sauce thrown on top. The coffee is burnt, the service unpleasant. The number of 5-star reviews is extremely suspicious, considering the location.

09/09/2026: I used to love Le Mahal, and my go-to dishes were palak paneer and chicken karahi. Sadly, as of late the quality has gone down, and most recently the palak paneer was extremely oily, even more so than usual. For the first time I couldn't finish my meal. Here's to hoping they make a comeback.

30/08/2026: I had a good time, with a pleasant overall atmosphere. However, the food buffet could be larger for the number of people, as there was a long queue to get food. Some dishes were also a bit bland. The desserts also need improvement: apart from the ice cream, the rest weren't very appealing and lacked variety and visual appeal. Overall, it was a good experience, but a few improvements to the buffet, the main courses, and the desserts would be appreciated.
