03/07/2026: An excellent restaurant in Metz for lovers of hearty cuisine. We had a very pleasant time at this establishment. The dishes are flavorful and truly generous. I particularly enjoyed the penne with peas and sundried tomatoes—a real treat. Everything was perfectly prepared with ingredients that seemed carefully selected. The atmosphere is friendly and welcoming, ideal for a casual meal. I highly recommend this restaurant for the quality of the food and the overall ambiance. We will gladly return.

27/06/2026: This is the first time I've ever left a negative review, but I left Casa Ricci shocked. The food is certainly good. The setting is pleasant. The two youngest waitresses were lovely. That's all. I made a reservation for my family and me for my birthday. The welcome and hospitality were very mediocre. We arrived, they said we had a reservation, but we had to find our own seats (perhaps that's part of the concept, but we were surprised). There was no air conditioning, and my mother, who is over 70, had a very hard time coping with the heat. The waiters and the kitchen staff were on the verge of a nervous breakdown because of the heat. There was a fan behind us, and we first asked the table next to us if it would be possible to direct it a little more towards my mother. They said yes. The same table moved, and my brother decided to turn the fan a little closer to my mother to relieve her discomfort. But apparently, it was reserved for the kitchen to blow hot air back into the dining room (how thoughtful of the other customers, we were all sweltering!). We were made aware of this quite aggressively by a woman who came out of the kitchen and violently redirected the fan, completely disregarding the other customers. My brother pointed out the woman's poor behavior, and she quickly became angry and started verbally abusing him. The situation escalated rapidly, and seeing that we weren't being treated with any respect, we decided to leave before we'd even finished eating. When we got to the register, we were asked what had happened. We tried to explain and then pay. But the person, who I assume was the manager, refused to let us pay, acting like a true gentleman, as he so disdainfully called himself. It wasn't a gesture of goodwill; it was yet another humiliation. With the added bonus of repeated insults in Italian directed at my brother, at least they were on theme. It's understandable that the heatwave can make tempers flare; working in these conditions is very difficult, but that doesn't excuse a lack of respect. At no point were we aggressive or disrespectful. This review isn't intended to criticize the restaurant, but to recount my very bad experience. I won't be going back.

07/07/2026: Excellent restaurant! The dishes are delicious, beautifully presented, and prepared with high-quality ingredients. The atmosphere is pleasant, and the staff is friendly. The only slight drawback is the somewhat slow service. That said, the wait is more than compensated for by the quality of the food. A truly great place that I highly recommend!

07/06/2026: A French restaurant located on the edge of the old town. The dishes we chose were carefully prepared and delicious. Limited advice, but good service. On the pricier side, especially the expensive wines. Overall, though, still justified and recommendable.

06/06/2026: Help, the service! The service was incredibly pushy... she spoke loudly and was insistent. We said we didn't want dessert, and she replied, "Well, I don't care, I'm paid to give you the menu and tell you about today's desserts." Then she shoved the dessert menu in front of us, recited all the desserts, and said she'd be back in two minutes to take our order. In short, we wanted a quiet lunch break, but that was a disaster. Not only did we not get dessert, but we didn't even get coffee as we'd wanted because the waitress was so annoying!

Between the spark Anthony rekindled between my grandparents (we'll have to adjust the respirator to avoid an accident!), the exquisite dishes, and the impeccable service, we had a wonderful meal. 28/06/2026: Excellent restaurant, where we received a very warm welcome. The air-conditioned dining room allowed us to eat comfortably with our little girl. The food is very good, with dishes that clearly demonstrate expertise and are full of flavor! We took advantage of the opportunity to order several dishes to take away.

24/06/2026: Flawless, a sure thing: a restaurant open for about 25 years—it's impossible to have such longevity without knowing how to cook. Everything was absolutely delicious, smooth, and fresh. This restaurant is a gem, and it's inexpensive too. The waiter was fantastic, very kind, and the cherry on top: a complimentary aperitif and coffee. Thank you, sir! It's something that's becoming rare, and it's a real shame because it's such a nice touch. Thank you for everything; I loved eating at your establishment. You transported me. I can't wait to come back.
