29/01/2026: A truly wonderful place. During our lunch break, we were able to enjoy a starter and a main course in a relatively short time. The waiter was incredibly efficient, smiling, and attentive, the welcome was warm, and the dishes were delicious and beautifully presented. I will definitely be back!

03/07/2025: The lovely waitress at Loulou was incredibly kind and patient with my family when our inability to speak any passable French threatened to complicate the evening. I ordered the seared tuna and it was fantastic, the service was great, and the restaurant is in a perfect location nearly under the grand cathedral's shadow.

The setting is beautifully decorated, and the staff are very helpful and friendly, especially considering we came on a Sunday lunchtime during the Saint Nicholas weekend when it was extremely busy. A great, responsive team—your boss must be proud of you for managing stress so well. There was little waiting and the service was impeccable. Well done! And the food was top-notch, made with excellent ingredients.

07/12/2025: Respect to the front-of-house and kitchen staff for their professionalism and their kind and dedicated nature. First visit to this restaurant during the Christmas market festivities. We noticed a huge influx of customers, and despite the challenging circumstances, we were welcomed with a level of commitment that commands respect. The meal was delicious and generous, with very large and high-quality portions. Highly recommended!

18/10/2025: Everything was superb! From the welcome, to the service and the meal, nothing to complain about except positive things! The waiter was lovely as was his wife in the kitchen, just as kind. We had a great time, it was an excellent discovery that I recommend to anyone wanting to discover traditional cuisine and a different culture!

08/09/2024: Repas du midi à deux, le cadre et le local sont un peu en-dessous de ce que devrait proposer un restaurant qui se veut dans cette tranche de prix (85€ à deux, menu entrée/plat/dessert sans alcool) La cuisine : excellente et qualitative, 90% des produits viennent des environs et c'est très bien. Les plats sont beaux et bons (dos de cabillaud et tempura de legumes, cheesecake de legumes et crevetes et fondant au chocolat), les desserts sont d'ailleurs massifs. Bref on y mange très bien ! Le service : beaucoup d'incompréhensions avce le serveur quand nous l'avons questionné sur les plats mais très gentil et souriant. Attention, ça a traîné un peu en longueur pour prendre notre commande et servir les premiers plats L'ambiance : dommage que ce soit ce local que vous ayez pour votre cuisine, il est petit et c'était assez bruyant le jour de notre repas. S'il vous plaît, enlevez la table à l'entrée ce n'est pas du tout agréable d'être dans le passage des va-et-vient Restaurant de qualité qui gagnerait à être dans un endroit un peu plus grand ou qui devrait refaire le plan de table et la salle car il y a matière à en faire une très belle adresse !

12/08/2024: The owner (who we disturbed enjoying a brief break between the end of his prep and the start of service) managed to accomodate us at no notice, and we are so glad that he did! The food was simply amazing (we had the pig's trotters/ scallops to start and both opted for the truffled chicken, as part of the brilliant value fixed-price menu (which also included a cheese course and desert, as well as an amuse bouche). This was the final meal of our holiday, having eaten at various places in France, Germany, Italy and Switzerland and it was by far the best. The waiting staff were helpful and just-the-right-amount of attentive. As a small chef-owned place, the quality and care shine through. We'll be back the next time we are in Metz, don't miss the chance if you're planning to be there!
