08/09/2026: We had the pleasure of discovering Zouhir's restaurant for lunch, and what a wonderful discovery it was! Like a world-famous song, it can sometimes be difficult to appreciate the same track when covered by another artist. However, Zouhir helped us rediscover the full flavor of an exceptional couscous: homemade minty meatballs, chicken thighs so tender they practically fall off the bone, flavorful vegetables... and so much more! À l'Oriental is a true institution, to be enjoyed on-site or to take away, as you prefer. A huge thank you for your warm welcome and exceptional service. One of our colleagues can't tolerate semolina, and Zouhir spontaneously offered to prepare spaghetti for him. A lovely gesture that speaks volumes about the restaurant's commitment to service. Don't wait any longer, go for it! :) And for coffee lovers: try the fresh mint tea... a delight for the taste buds!

09/09/2026: Stumbled across this place while cycling to Lac de Montriond. Tuesday night was their last BYO Bbq 🍖 so we grabbed some meat from the shop next door and chef cooked our food perfectly. You could help yourself to bread, coleslaw, potato salad and condiments. We had a fab evening and met some great people. ✌️

05/09/2026: Great food, great service, great vibes. La marmotte d’or is a truly special spot, the interior is cozy and welcoming and the sprawling terrace has gorgeous views of the mountains; the sunsets here are stunning! The food is very well-portioned and reasonably priced with some good vegetarian and vegan options. There’s a good variety of drinks: beers, wines, cocktails and mocktails. The bar regularly hosts events and concerts so it’s a great place to spend a fun evening. The staff is very friendly and all speak French and English. If you’re in or around Montriond it is truly worth the stop!

10/10/2026: The staff were very warm and generous, the food was delicious, and the meat was cooked to perfection. The couscous, whichever version you choose, is of very good quality. As the dining room is quite small, the noise level is perfectly reasonable.

28/09/2026: The lamb tagine with artichokes and peas was absolutely delicious; I thoroughly enjoyed it. The couscous was also wonderful 😋 We highly recommend this restaurant.

19/09/2026: Great spot for a quick and healthy bite in Antibes. The hummus was smooth as silk, the hand-cut chips reminded me of mum’s, and the beef köfte and shawarma were both delicious. Perfectly complemented with the salad — fresh and perfectly seasoned. Simple, tasty food done well.

30/08/2026: I arrived at this restaurant with my mother and aunt, and as soon as we arrived, the manager assigned us a table that was particularly dirty. I simply pointed out that the table wasn't clean enough for us to sit at. Instead of offering to clear or clean it, she told us it was either that table or we had to leave it for a potential new customer. She even refused to clear the table before we sat down. This was an extremely condescending attitude and a complete lack of respect for customers who were simply there to eat. The tone she used and the remarks in their dialect also made the situation particularly unpleasant. I sincerely wonder: just because we are Black, should we accept this kind of treatment? A deeply disappointing and humiliating experience. I will not be going back.

Everything is homemade, we thoroughly enjoyed it, and the manager's kindness was a real bonus. We were able to dine on the terrace because the street isn't busy and enjoy a peaceful and delicious dinner! Thank you again, and all the best.

28/09/2026: The welcome was good, but the food lacked vibrancy; it didn't have the flavors I'd experienced in Lebanon. The waiter, however, was cute.

14/09/2026: He was incredibly kind. I ordered food and realized I'd left my jacket in Paris, and he generously gave it to me free of charge. It was very kind of him, and I thanked him very much for his kind gesture.

29/06/2026: A breath of fresh Tunisian air near St. Charles train station and the Zenitude hotel in Marseille, with delicious fricassees, lemon skirt cakes, and all the pastries you'd expect to find in Marseille. The staff is friendly and helpful, and you can enjoy the terrace overlooking the large square in front.
