12/05/2026: Obviously, the atmosphere is very pleasant for all USSR fans, as well as darts enthusiasts, but their cocktails are also very good. Pints ​​aren't very expensive, there's a happy hour, and it's clearly a popular bar! The only problem is that it gets quite crowded quickly, so I recommend not arriving too late. Otherwise, it's rather noisy and it's difficult to find a seat. Worth a visit nonetheless!

10/07/2026: Utter rip off and total waste of time for below average food. Could do better and quicker going to Carrefour City 5 minutes walk away. 30 minutes for a queue of 10 people ahead of us. Only then told it would take minimum 20 minutes to prepare our order (2 wraps to go). Waited 35 minutes for our wraps, which had less than half the filling of non-peak season a few weeks ago. Less than 10g of meat and only 5/6 fries. What was in there was dry and tasteless. Only the last bite had sauce.

After all, you're on vacation, so it didn't matter if the service took a minute longer. Despite the busy atmosphere, the staff was always friendly. It's definitely worth a visit.

The food was really tasty and arrived lightning fast⚡️⚡️⚡️ Our only bit of criticism is that some sweet/tangy/acidic pickled cucumber or onions added to the pitta/plate would have made it EVEN better. Also, the Babaganoush could have been more smoky. However, it was all fresh and delicious! We would 100% visit Au Falafel again🥙🧆❤️

22/02/2026: A very warm and friendly welcome from the owners and staff. They have all managed to create a wonderful, family atmosphere in this true community hub that brings together the local population (and beyond!) with numerous services and activities (bar, tobacco shop, ATM, parcel collection point, lottery, small grocery store, darts, card games, concerts, themed evenings, etc.). You feel right at home, almost like you're at home, always greeted with big smiles. Sandrine regularly prepares delicious takeaway meals. And her Tuesday night burgers, Friday night pizzas, and Sunday night kebabs, which vary with the seasons and are made with quality ingredients, are all delicious. There is also a bread, pastry, and cake counter.

05/07/2026: We were fortunate enough to have Le Vieil Alger for a private family event, and we have wonderful memories of it from beginning to end. The venue is truly lovely and welcoming. We quickly felt at ease, and the friendly atmosphere greatly contributed to the success of this very special day for us. As for the food, everything was delicious. The dishes were generous, beautifully presented, and full of authentic flavors, and they were a hit with all the guests. But what impressed us most was the kindness and professionalism of the service. The team was attentive, available, and always smiling, with a genuine desire to do things right from start to finish. A huge thank you to the entire team for making this event so successful. We recommend Le Vieil Alger without hesitation, whether for an event or simply a lovely family meal.
