05/06/2026: Great Starbucks location. I originally stopped in looking for a specific 'You Are Here' city mug to add to my collection. While they didn't have it, the staff was incredibly helpful and kindly took the time to explain that the collection had been discontinued for a couple of years now. Even though my mug hunt wasn't successful, the customer service was absolutely fantastic, and the store itself was clean, welcoming, and well-maintained. Thank you to the friendly team for being so helpful

04/07/2026: My boyfriend and I have been to this café several times before. While passing by, we asked if we could use their restroom, and the manager agreed on the condition that we buy something. So, we ordered the cheapest coffee (€2.10) because we felt a bit pressured. I'm sorry, but in hindsight, I don't think that's right. It's literally a basic need, and I understand paying if the hygiene is impeccable, but that's not the case here, and it's very difficult to access. It's a shame; it won't make us want to come back.

01/07/2026: hot chocolate and fruity muffin, 8.10€: little bit expensive, especially when the hot chocolate wasn't anything special. The muffin was perfect, fluffy and moist. Place is small and if there's line, you don't fit inside to look their selection. Ofter wise cute place with two floors full of seats.

29/04/2026: Good neighborhood cafe and sunny terrace in the evening, great atmosphere!

07/04/2026: This small cafe next to the park serves a small menu of local and french national food. The plat de hour was finished by 13:30 and was a reasonable 14.50e. Service appeared slow at first as the two man team appeared very busy, however we ordered after 10 minutes (not slow) and the food arrived soon after (allowing for cooking time). Service was friendly, helpful and involved lots of rushing around. A good lunch

11/10/2025: Convinced by the reviews I've read here, I gave in to temptation at La Cambuse. Unfortunately, I didn't find much in the following comments: - First, the smell of fried food is striking, as soon as you enter the bar/restaurant, guaranteeing smelly clothes all afternoon. - Second, the dining room has almost no natural light (just a skylight), with very basic furniture, not very pleasant; it's quite sad to eat in. - The draft beer menu is rather poor, which is always a shame in the north. - The service is nevertheless pleasant and fast. - But I was disappointed when the frozen fries and bagged salad arrived...

15/06/2026: I go there often, it's a classic kebab. Nothing fancy, I've never gotten sick or anything, good service, friendly staff.

08/03/2026: A restaurant that serves nothing but fries. Two daily specials offered, no vegetables, no low-GI options. I ordered steak tartare with one slice of tomato and one lettuce leaf. Very, very disappointed.

10/03/2026: Food Factory used to be good, but that was then. Today, for €9 for the galette menu, you get a TINY galette, 10-12 cm long and barely filled, with fatty meat that tastes very average. A decent portion of fries, if they were cooked. The can of soda is good. I recommend Best Tacos next door; they have the same menu but with better quality.

03/06/2026: While strolling through town, I was drawn in by the charming exterior and the smiling face of the staff selling gelato in front of the shop, so I stopped by for a break. I enjoyed delicious gelato in the classic and lovely interior, and it really revitalized me 🌈 The staff inside were friendly and kind, and when I mentioned I was from Japan, they chatted with me a lot. They were also very helpful in taking my order. I bought a raspberry waffle and enjoyed it with my family back in Japan. The packaging is cute, and the cream inside is incredibly delicious with a rich buttery flavor! It was my first time trying a soft type of waffle, and it was addictively delicious; somehow, it felt very French. I can see why it's a popular shop. I highly recommend you stop by.

23/05/2026: Excellent service from Mehdi! Attentive, cheerful, and helpful, it's a pleasure to be served by someone like that :) Reliable pizzas (not authentic Italian, mind you), but like at all Domino's, they do the job.

20/06/2026: I've been to this bakery several times. Despite the often dirty restrooms, the numerous fruit flies while eating, and what I find disappointing value for money, I kept going back mainly because it was the only bakery in Lille I knew with a space large enough to sit down and work. I should clarify that it's not the price that bothers me: I regularly frequent establishments where the prices are equivalent, or even higher, but where the service is impeccable and the quality of the products fully justifies the price. The impression is that everything is done to cut costs as much as possible, at the expense of service quality and customer comfort. Yesterday, a young woman with light, wavy hair spoke to me in a particularly aggressive and unpleasant manner. At first, I was shocked by the way she spoke to me. After a few seconds, I realized it was the same employee who had spoken to me very inappropriately several months earlier. This time, I decided not to let the situation go and asked her why she was speaking to me that way. Instead of answering, she became even more aggressive. I simply pointed out that the situation was going way too far and that there was clearly a problem with how she spoke to customers. The tone escalated, and she ended up insulting me. Unbelievable. It was impossible to speak to a manager. I do, however, thank Melissa (short, with dark hair), who tried to calm things down and completely understood the problem. She explained that she and the other employee were tired and in the middle of exams. I don't consider that a valid excuse, especially since it was the second time. Many students and young people in France, myself included, work year-round while pursuing their studies, often experiencing fatigue and stress, yet they do not gratuitously disrespect those they serve. Never again.
