25/07/2026: I'm never going back. Honestly, it breaks my heart what this fast-food place has become. And God knows I've been coming here since it opened. Seriously, take down the "flame-grilled" claim from your advertising. Maybe it was true two or three years ago, but now you just throw them in a pan, cardboard and all. There's no other explanation. Even the bun was too dry/overcooked. And the service has become a complete disaster. Gone are the days of the chef with a few gray hairs in the back who took such good care of you. Now I go in and ask for "a BIG glass of water, please," and the guy says "a glass of water?" and brings me water in a small coffee cup even though there are plenty of large plastic cups right there. Come on, bro, make an effort. I didn't even want to talk to him; I went to the bathroom several times afterward to refill my water glass. To give you an idea of ​​how neglected it is, there's even a chair leg still stuck to the floor, missing the foam/leather seat, so it's just covered in orange tape. It's a small detail, but when the food and service are terrible, you pay attention to the equally terrible chair. It's disgusting; this fast food place used to be a gem. I recommend going to the Chicken Beef at République or Lille Flandres instead, but this one needs to close; it's damaging the brand's image. I'll remind you that I was a loyal customer; I'm not just talking nonsense. I genuinely enjoyed this fast food place. Even though I wasn't expecting anything anymore, I often went back to check if it was just a one-off or something, but no, you've really lost interest. Signed: the annoying guy who ate a light maxi-cheese with cheese sauce more than three times a week.

A superb atmosphere, impeccable hygiene, warm, welcoming, smiling, and kind staff, etc. etc. A reliable choice in the center of Lille for a great meal and a satisfying experience 😉

10/07/2026: Cool little thai snack offering traditional thai dishes (Phad thai, Krapao, Pad Prik,...) just a lil' walk away from Theatre Sebastopol. Prices are really decent and they also propose menu options (starter + main option [smaller portion but I had enough] + 1 drink) for 18-22€. I was looking for some quick food and it really made the deal.

09/08/2026: Came in on a Sunday morning for a coffee on the terrace. What a disaster! An overwhelmed waiter, my order for a coffee and a Perrier arrived 30 minutes later. The order turned out to be incorrect. There was a piece of plastic in the Perrier (half a slice, of course...). I went over to the two guys at the bar, and they condescendingly told me they were overwhelmed, laughing along with their friends. When you consider how many bars and restaurants try to do a clean and respectful job... this place is a far cry from that! I'm a native of Lille, and I've rarely encountered such awful waiters and service.

23/08/2026: During a short stay in Lille, we tried the Welsh rarebit, the signature burger, and the fries... and we weren't disappointed. But what really made it special was the waiter's cheerful attitude! We highly recommend it!

17/07/2026: The food is very good, with quality ingredients. However, don't expect a friendly atmosphere or warm, cheerful service.

12/07/2026: We had the daily special and it was good. The only downside was that the fresh tomatoes in the gazpacho weren't very fresh; they were limp, as if they hadn't just been cut. The chuck roast and carrot purée were delicious. I think it's a bit pricey.

08/08/2026: We stumbled upon this place completely by chance and decided to stop by after two bad experiences elsewhere… and frankly, what a pleasant surprise! As soon as we arrived, the owner took the time to explain his background, his achievements, and above all, his passion for shisha. You can tell right away that you're dealing with someone who truly knows his craft. He then offered us something we'd never seen anywhere else: we each chose two themes/flavors we liked, and then he created a completely customized shisha experience for us based on our preferences. The result: truly excellent, from start to finish. The welcome, the advice, the quality, and especially the passion behind the service make all the difference. A place we discovered completely by chance, but definitely one we'll be returning to.
