08/12/2025: The mousse felt overrated, it is good but didn’t meet the price value nor the experience

07/12/2025: The chocolate mousse was very good, and the young man who served us was super nice. BUT the cashier, a young woman who spoke arrogantly to the other customers, who made faces because tourists were filming the shop, and who retreated to the back room saying "I'm fed up," is simply unacceptable. Young woman, we're here to enjoy ourselves; you're not just selling chocolate. A smile never hurt anyone.

04/05/2026: Atmosphere- Lovely French restaurant of your imagination. Service was appropriately French. Polite, not overwhelming attentive. Food though was a miss. We ordered the French onion soup, roasted chicken, lamb, etc.. Soup was fine but nothing special. The lamb was fine, but in no way unique/special. The chicken was tragic. Like days old, tough, unflavored cardboard tragic. Maybe an off day I can’t say, hence the three stars. An unsympathetic rating would be two stars. A shame really, I came here with high expectations and a true desire for the restaurant to shine.

15/02/2026: This restaurant is getting tons of negative reviews from several customers, and rightly so. They made a mistake with my order, admitted it via text message, but in a public message here they're making false statements, claiming to have CCTV evidence. They're threatening me with karma, saying they should just post it publicly. All they need to do is admit the mistake. They verbally attack every customer who leaves a negative review. I ordered Chinese noodles, among other things. The employee put them in the container in front of me, then went home to find there were no noodles in the package, but two buns I didn't order! The dumplings were charged, not complimentary! The food quality is extremely poor, especially considering the price; it's appalling. Furthermore, this establishment is dishonest: following my comment, they falsely claimed I ordered the brioches and that the employee informed me they were out of the noodle dish! However, we have exchanged messages by phone and text where they acknowledged the error in the order! Avoid at all costs!!!

09/02/2026: Tourist scam!!!!!!!!! Small portion!!!!!! Super salty!!! They hide the price behind the weight, the price is based on the weight like XX euro / 100 g, and if they see that you’re tourists, they will put as much liquid as possible to let you pay more. We had 3 dishes + 2 rices, costed us 50 euro. WHAT A SCAM!!!!!!!!!

06/05/2026: Summary: This is a trap, do not go here. The waiter only asked our table directly for a tip when paying with card, they did not do the same for the table next to us, they likely target Americans. I brought my family here for a meal after remembering a great meal I had here about 8 years ago. Back then, it was lovely restaurant, reasonably priced for a pre-fixe menu of around 40ish euros a person, with good French food and views of the Eiffel Tower (recommended by the Barefoot Contessa to boot). Now, this was a disappointing dinner. Very decidedly average food—I think they’ve since changed owners/chefs—with the same green spring mix of lettuce applied to every dish oddly, much more expensive now. You can have this food at any other mildly upscale place in Paris. Service was slow, poor in general. We are on the last leg of a trip, and we agreed this was the bottom of what we ate for the price—around 270 euros for 4 people. Add the tip thing, and it left a sour taste in our mouth. Would really not recommend anymore.

02/05/2026: A five-course dinner that delighted all four guests. Refined and delicious dishes with exquisite presentation and impeccable service. A truly wonderful surprise! And a wine list that remains reasonably priced, especially the Italian selection. A must-try!

19/05/2026: A wonderful experience at Le Malabar! The atmosphere is warm and truly pleasant. The dishes were delicious, well-prepared, and full of flavor. You can taste the quality of the ingredients and the care put into the cooking. A big thank you to Lorenzo for his exceptional welcome—he made us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. Attentive service, friendly staff, and an excellent atmosphere. I highly recommend this place and will gladly return!

10/05/2026: We were very happy with our meals and service. Our first time here and the wonderful maître d’ made us feel so welcome accommodating our family of 6 adults. We enjoyed our dinner so much we came back another day for lunch!
