06/01/2026: Personally, I love it. The calf's liver is magnificent. It reminds me of when my grandmother used to make it for me... Thank you. Located in the city center. Family atmosphere. Don't hesitate to go in.

27/12/2025: We had a really good meal, the portions were very generous, and the waitress was super friendly. We were just passing through Bordeaux and were delighted with our stop.

24/02/2026: Excellent value for money, very generous portions, very friendly and welcoming waitress. Plenty of dessert options, with prices clearly marked - fantastic 'Calais' cake.

07/02/2026: A disappointing experience at Le Coq d’Or. The waitress was cold and clearly rushed, which didn't make for a pleasant meal. I asked for ketchup, which never arrived. The dining room was very noisy, and the tables were much too close together, making you feel like you were sitting right next to your neighbors. The decor also looks dated. I ordered a cordon bleu with Maroilles cheese. Never again. And the fries were straight from the freezer; if I'd wanted reheated food, I would have eaten at home. Overall, I didn't have a good time and I don't think I'll be back.

17/12/2024: Pleasant staff, very good pastry. I mainly go there for prepared dishes which have lost quality and quantity over time.

14/12/2024: poorly received by a young girl The impression of annoying him even though there was no one there I asked for a coffee, forgot some sugar and the spatula to mix for the orange juice to make I had the impression of being complicated and very tiring to do and all this early in the morning

11/07/2025: We went to buy a loaf of bread last night. The bread had holes in it. We told the lady today, and she laughed right in my face. Not businesslike at all. 7 p.m. No more baguettes in that case, closed at 6:30 p.m. Not at 8 p.m. Disappointed, I won't be going back.

06/12/2025: I ordered four pizzas, one of which I specifically asked to have the chicken removed and a little more ground beef added. Instead, they put a huge amount of mushrooms on it. I waited an hour and a half to be served, even though I live only five minutes away. The pizza arrived cold. I called at 7:38 PM precisely, and the delivery was at 9:12 PM. The driver was from Coulogne. The pizza I ordered was the Boursin, so it didn't originally have mushrooms. Yet, instead of adding ground beef as requested, I got a lot of mushrooms...

14/11/2025: The pizza was completely burnt and frankly not good. What's more, when you ask for hot sauce, they don't have it, and when you ask, they're always busy! So, it's no wonder the pizza is completely burnt and half of it is missing! Avoid at all costs!

21/11/2025: Le Bounty is my absolute favourite spot for a drink in Calais. It’s a small, cozy bar with a warm atmosphere and a charming interior. The music is always on point – never too loud, always creating the perfect backdrop for a relaxed evening. Very dog friendly But what truly makes Le Bounty special is Fafa – the heart and soul of the place. Charming, welcoming :) Kami & Mango

10/11/2025: We ordered double espressos to watch a show outside in the Place d'Armes. The waiter was very friendly and let us take our tray outside. I found the bar small and pleasant, creating a warm atmosphere. The prices are reasonable. In short, I recommend it.

06/01/2026: Having known this address since its inception, I stopped by this evening, admittedly perhaps a little late for traditional bacon and scalloped potatoes. I was very disappointed with the quality of the vegetables; the quality was very inconsistent. What a shame not to have regained the quality that was your strength before. The griddle was very dirty.

22/12/2025: Old-school fast food. It was around long before the chains. Much better, especially! Quality products. Prices are the same as McDonald's or other places! So I highly recommend it!

04/09/2025: First and last time I don't know if the goods come from Ukraine but we order the current merguez chicken cheddar galette. Which looked good on paper arrived at the table four slices of merguez I'm not talking about chicken and minced meat for 18balls don't abuse even at Flunch it's more Garnished in short never again I think this restaurant won't go far for info they gave me six slices of merguez 😂😂

12/12/2025: This hotel gave us a very good mini break for the December Calais markets. We are both immobile (wife in a wheelchair) and the accessible room was good. i am always keen to leave feedback on disability issues.Breakfast was great - unlike some hotels they kept a hawk-like eye on what needed topping up! Staff were always friendly and helpful when we were coping with our mobility. Not a UK 4 star, but I think Fr. standards are more relaxed.

02/12/2025: The staff were very friendly, we had a pleasant stay, with a beautiful view of the sea.

15/02/2026: The establishment is lovely, the music isn't too loud, you can choose to seat noisy children or children far from the play area... The staff is a mix of older and younger people... Overall, the staff is very pleasant and, above all, very humane!

31/12/2025: we did have lunch in before the ferry to UK yesterday. 1. The mussel is so small , maybe due to over cooked, disappointed. Other food are fair, not impressive. 2.Only one waitress to serve 10 tables, she seems not happy and didn't serve properly. 3. Food waiting time is too long , around 45 mins, maybe they don't expect so many customer pop up.

27/12/2025: Christmas lunch on December 25th. We were generally very disappointed, especially considering our previous experiences there, particularly at Christmas 2024, which we had been very positive about. This year, the staff gave us a cold welcome, and the starter consisted of a small amount of cockles in a tiny ramekin with a lot of sauce. We had to ask for bread and were given a basket with one piece per person and one pat of butter for the table. The tournedos was acceptable, as was the monkfish, but nothing special. As for the Christmas dessert, the "gourmet trio" consisted of three poorly arranged, mass-produced pastries. For a €57 menu in a restaurant considered to be of good quality, one would expect better. We got the impression that the staff were bored working on Christmas Day. In that case, they shouldn't open... The choice of putting a large-screen TV in this type of restaurant is not very wise; background music would have been welcome.

18/01/2026: What a disappointment! The salads were presented very poorly. The ingredients really smelled cheap. The tomatoes were in very large chunks, tasteless, and the ham cubes were inedible due to the tough pieces inside. The warm goat cheese salad was the same—extremely disappointing for €19 😱. The plates were practically full when we left, and the feedback we gave to the waiter was not appreciated at all....

09/01/2026: Thanks for the comments, another one on my list to avoid. I wasn't wrong when I went; it was a disaster and very dirty.

17/01/2026: DISGUSTING 🤢 We had to wait outside because it was too crowded inside. We had to pay for our order outside, and when we asked to wash our hands, that's when we saw the catastrophic state of the place inside. There was absolutely no hygiene. The employees were preparing orders with their smartphones in their hands or placed on the salad trays. The bread, the meat, the sauce—everything was awful. We were very lucky not to have gotten sick. ⚠️ The good reviews for this establishment are misleading.

17/01/2026: Purchase. Basket today, January 17, 2026. I'm disappointed. The baguette was hard, and the chocolate-covered raisin bread wasn't good. I won't go to this bakery again, even if the basket is still good and edible.
